1:47 This has to be my favorite moment in any AC Cinematic Trailer ever, bc it spends a very short but extremely effective time showing how capable Altaïr really was as an Assassin. His genius, cunning, and wit. Like a master chessplayer he plans his main target's kills like 4 moves ahead. He fires his crossbow to take out one guy, (my favorite) then narrowly dodges a blade slash matrix-style--anchors him down but not TOO much with the end of his crossbow--just ENOUGH to where he can use his crippling body as a launch-step to deliver the final decisive blow to his target with his hidden blade. Altaïr calculated all of that with so little time to react, and I bet if he stumbled at *any* point along the process he would've been cut down himself. The other cinematic trailers are great, but the way we saw Altaïr for the very first time in such a legendary light is so magnificent to me. There's so little, but it says a remarkable amount.
AC Valhalla has to be my favorite trailer but I’ve never been more hype for a game than after the ACII gameplay trailer came out. It blew my 12yr old mind back then
I know that the Ac Rogue cinematic trailer is a little lackluster and short compared to the other trailers, but amidst the shortness of it, it still gets down who Shay is and what he does. Though the game didn't win the lottery with it's trailer (or even with the gameplay, story, or voice acting), it is still a great game and I still love the cinematic trailer. I would honestly give it a C- but nostalgia is telling me to give it a C+
Amazing video and great list! I pretty much agree on every one except I would switch brotherhood and unity spots, and I'd put Origins probably at "A". But for sure, Revelations is the best one by a wide margin imo
I see that the Tier is a lot logical and he's very well structured: In the S there is the peak of AC, Brotherhood and AC Revelations are simply a spot on, one for the gameplay mechanics and the trailer depicts that very well, Revelations from a plot stand point. - The A Tier is more like "this trailer is cool, the concept behind the games is cool, but there are two games that can't capitalize on the big hype than those trailers created, missed opportunities, but good indeed, a lot like the games The B tiers are the trailers for the games that are actually very good, so good that the trailer failed in part to transmit the real direction of the game in all the complexity, except for Shadows that is more like a C++ Tier, but because we don't know what the game looks like The C Tier represents the RPG era in my opinion, Mirage is maybe better, maybe too much good because overshadows the game plot, Valhalla is not an AC trailer until the hidden blade comes out, but is not a bad trailer, is not that good if we see the final product, the AC Origin's one shows too much, so yeah, the C tiers are from the trailers that misunderstood or overshadowed the final product The D tier is for the low budget game, Rogue and Syndicate are literally two pinnacles of the complex AC Unity development, so it's understandable that they are not great trailers, but AC Syndicate trailer is also bad advertising and sexists The Odyssey trailer is like the game: it does not take place 😂
Shadows trailer has some many obvious historical mistakes that I can only put it in F. Like the soldiers helmet, the fortress wall and structure, the incense, there are so many problems.
Unlike most AC fans I actually loved AC Valhalla. And that comes from a core fan who immediately fell in love with the franchise back in 2007, with AC2 and Brotherhood always being my favourites. Up until Odyssey and Valhalla that is. What started with scepticism turned into revelation. I used to have the same opinions as most fans, until I managed to see beyond my biased preferences and just tried to enjoy the games. It's true, Eivor lacked charisma, the characters were bland and the story wasn't very satisfying to say the least, but this game had so much to offer. For some it might have felt like a waste of space with an unnecessary large world, where quantity was prioritized at the expense of quality. To me, quantity IS quality. To me, it felt like freedom and endless possibilities. A game I could enjoy for months with lots of fun gameplay, rather than a few days with lots of cutscenes and story. At least I personally don't play games to enjoy a good story (for that I watch movies), I play games to escape and have fun. Yeah, I think I've had my fill of AC stories, and as much as I cherish them all, I think the direction the franchise were heading in (more open world, more consequence based gameplay, more customization and personalization systems etc.) truly was the right call. In fact, I would rather create my own story, and preferably while being myself with the introduction of a new character creation system. So it saddens me that the majority of the fans want to go back to a more narrative, linear and claustrophobic approach. Mirage showed us that going backwards isn't always the best solution, especially when it comes to games. Now, for the upcoming title I am being forced to play as either a black dude or a Japanese chick, or even worse - BOTH - and I probably wont be able to identify with either of them, not to mention immerse myself in the game if I have to go back and forth between two characters. Btw, that is not to say that all AC protagonists have to be a white male, on the contrary, it just goes to show that not everyone can identify with the character. It would be much better if everyone could create themselves, or whoever they want to be. I see no reason for AC to stick to their traditions and old formulas. So yeah, I hope you're all happy now!
My favorite is AC1 bc it sets the perfect tone for the entire series. Every trailer after that can go for something different bc AC1 did it so well. My least favorite is easily Valhalla. Like you can promote the setting without castrating the series identity like Black Flag did. ACIII's is amazing murder-candy, and Brotherhood's is very graceful imo
In my opinion, Origins is almost objectively the best cinematic trailer but I do agree that its a shity trailer if you remember its supposted to be a assasins creed trailer and not a "roadtrip through egypt" trailer😅

Revelations, Origins, and Valhalla have S tier trailers imo. Perfect music, perfect build up and exciting fight choreography.

Valhalla is junk.
AC Valhalla has to be my favorite trailer but I’ve never been more hype for a game than after the ACII gameplay trailer came out. It blew my 12yr old mind back then
yes, our prophet has stepped out of the silhouette
Origins, Valhalla, AC III, Syndicate, and Revelations are the best, in my honest opinion. Valhalla and III hyped me up the most to play the game.
I know that the Ac Rogue cinematic trailer is a little lackluster and short compared to the other trailers, but amidst the shortness of it, it still gets down who Shay is and what he does.

no one:
European ACIII players when they discover Charles Lee is the villian: 11:45
I think the Literal Trailers really warp my mind but Black Flags is incredible but my fave has to be Revelations. Bootyful vid sir
Seeing the Unity trailer always makes me wish we got the implied 4 character story.
i play unity while listening to the trailers in the background
Love your vids
Thank you!!
Ac3 for me is the best and connor is my favorite assasin

The B tiers are the trailers for the games that are actually very good, so good that the trailer failed in part to transmit the real direction of the game in all the complexity, except for Shadows that is more like a C++ Tier, but because we don't know what the game looks like
The C Tier represents the RPG era in my opinion, Mirage is maybe better, maybe too much good because overshadows the game plot, Valhalla is not an AC trailer until the hidden blade comes out, but is not a bad trailer, is not that good if we see the final product, the AC Origin's one shows too much, so yeah, the C tiers are from the trailers that misunderstood or overshadowed the final product

The Odyssey trailer is like the game: it does not take place 😂
Finally, father feeds is another video

My favourite is ac 3

Because i like more action based trailer

Ac1 and origins seam most atmospheric to me and I like them a lot, the worst 🤔 probably syndicate because I did not remember it until I saw it here 🤣
In my opinion, Origins is almost objectively the best cinematic trailer but I do agree that its a shity trailer if you remember its supposted to be a assasins creed trailer and not a "roadtrip through egypt" trailer😅
You intentionally left out Odyssey didn't you?
@@Reaper2004 They didn’t make one for Odyssey, really weird
@@willismakesmovies That is indeed weird
The best cinematic trailers establish the mood and some of the recent ones fail or perhaps dont as the trialers look generic
Shadows one is honestly pretty mid
