      Yes but it still gives an insight in which he rated each manager…. For example Ferguson is NOT nr 1. Only to english people. Cruyff, Sacchi, Capello and ofcourse Don Carlo had way more impact on the game of football and were better managers aswell. English bias however, and its good he s called out for it🙌

      9th might be low but we're comparing him against the best of the best here. Sacchi and Shankly are arguably in the Top 5 and and Paisley won 3 European Cups and 6 league titles in 9 years so I can't see Wenger being ranked ahead of them
      Maybe you can make the case for 8th or maybe 7th if you want to be very charitable but Wenger isn't on that level. If anything Cruyff at 8th is far more outrageous take

      @@jackr5407 Of course, he is, not disputing he was good. But, 9th is ridiculous when you consider the achievements of others. Coaches not even included on Carragher's options include: Mourinho, Guardiola, Klopp, Hitzfeld, Chapman, Clough, Trappatoni, Lippi, del Bosque. There's 9 right there that you can make a very strong case for being better than Wenger (6/7 of them not even being debatable).

      @@GM-tw4el He prooved himself in every top 5 league and managed to win the league title in all of them at least once. He won the UCL, most important and biggest trophy in club football, 4 times with two different clubs. For me he is bigger.

      @@dv8812 He only won trophies at well established top clubs. He didn't win anything with Juventus Parma or Everton. Winning the league with PSG and Bayern isn't really a big challenge let's be honest. Chelsea, Real Madrid and Milan, yes he was very good. Ferguson turned around a very poor Manchester United team into the richest most famous club in the world. He won 3 league titles titles and a European Cup winners Cup and Super Cup with Aberdeen (think Leicester winning the league, but more than once!). Ferguson never inherited strong teams, he built them. Also in terms of trophies, not a single manager has won more.

    Where is Rinus Michels in this list? Single handedly made Ajax a great side from nowhere, trained Cryff and created Dutch total football. 3 european cups in a row and world cup finalist manager. He's at least top 2 (maybe 1st)

    For someone who regularly touts Klopp for going toe-to-toe (read: winning just 3 major trophies) with Guardiola’s peak Man City, he sure undermines someone who won more trophies against SAF’s peak Man Utd. than any other manager, besides revolutionizing English football in the late 90s. Good thing these rankings don’t matter, especially coming from someone like him.

    I didn't understand the laugh when he had to put Simeone in 3rd. It's okay that a lot of people hate his defensive style, but he was mainly responsible for taking Atleti from a mid-table team in Laliga to being the third power in the Spanish championship, not to mention being a strong team in the context of the Champions League., even if it is not one of the favorites, it is no longer an underdog.

      Guardiola has only managed the best teams/players in their country/generation which should drop him down a few places, doesn't take the greatest manger ever to win trophies at an already dominant bayern, Barca with possibly the best team of all time with Messi and Man city with unlimited funds.

He’s won everything and has the most trophies than any other manager except Fergie who coached many more years than Guardiola. And Guardiola won all of those trophies by playing beautiful football and perfected world class players. How do you make a world class player better? Very few can, and he’s one of them. The Goat.

      Guardiola got outclassed and outsmarted by Inzaghi (younger than Guardiola) in the CL final, with the difference thatInzaghi played with Darmian, D'Ambrosio, Gosens, Bellanova, Dzeko...you know...he also got outsmarted by Quique Sánchez Flores in the SuperCup with Sevilla...but he got extremely lucky once again.
      Ancelotti, Mourinho, Sacchi, Cruyff, Ferguson ecc...maybe even Allegri are all better than Guardiola...but you're talking wearing your ManCity shirt so I can't expect any form of sportsmanship...

    Personally I'd have Wenger 1 I'm not an arsenal fan I'm a City fan and Fergie would be 2 very very close though and that's not through hatred I've always been able to admire the genius of fergie and the absolute powerhouse his United were even though I hated it. Wenger for me transformed football and did so with players not as well known at the beginning where as United always have had/will have superstars wenger really put it on Fergie and brought the best out of them too it's the best rivalry the prem has ever seen and I'm old enough to have witnessed it all and it was amazing that era not been close since I think Wenger just edges it for me but fergie right there too no doubt.
