You made it through the forest without incident. That's great! Now the question is : "When did he go?" Hee hee,.. (Wendigo) Thanks for sharing PA stories.
Thanks Cliff. I'm a fan of Folk Tales, legends and the like. I suggest, if you also enjoy such; "American Folklore and Legends" published awhile ago by Readers Digest. Got my copy at a tag sale for 25 cents. Great reading if you have the time. 👍✌
Hi Cliff, you are a great horror story teller, maybe you should do some video's in front of either a campfire in your garden or an open fire with just the firelight lighting up your face and telling about either a mythical creature or a horror story. I can just picture you sat in a comfy armchair next to an open fire, scaring us with tales of happenings in the deep woods, eek. Thank you for sharing, I loved this video, much love. xx 🙏💖
Thank you so much for that Cliff, it was fantastic. I also realised I saw that on Supernatural, it was great. Is a good story for kids to keep them home. Glad you didn’t find one. Thanks so much for taking me along. Please stay safe and take care
Very interesting story but I am very happy my parents didn’t share it with me as a child. We camped all the time, I would have had nightmares for sure.
First of all, I love your videos. I live in the Laurel Mountains of Pennsylvania. My father taught Pennsylvania history, and I learned a lot about our commonwealth from him especially the native american stories and lore. Secondly, what the hell are you doing in the woods alone in the middle of winter????!!!!! Be careful, and take the Wendigo legend to heart. xxx
I saw a Wendygo once. Yep, I watched her storm out of my old apartment, hop in her Jeep, and then just eerie red tail lights and tires screeching off into the night
I am so glad you were looking, because I found myself automatically checking around my room looking for the Wendigo who was ready to snatch and eat you... now I can relax and enjoy your video. Thank you!
I thought this was going to be another bigfoot story. I was wrong. Interesting story. Sounds like it might be a demon. And that was my thought what you said about a story to scare children. Have a blessed day and stay safe
Back in the 60s and early 70s and going back into the 40s?, I would pickup magazines with names like; True Adventures; True Detective; etc. I n college I’d get tired of comic books and I started buying these. These are where I first read about Big Foot, Windigo, the crystal skull and more. Ghost stories and the like. They’re no longer published, it’s too bad. These stories have been pushed aside by modern technology in all its facets. These were articles to read when radio was the main form of entertainment, after the show ended and the program shut down for the day. Now with 24/7 entertainment the movies, shows, etc. need more “gore” where before it was suspense, drama, imagination that these old magazines fed off.
Has anyone heard from Cliff? The last I heard he was looking for the Wendigo , but he did say he knew there was no such thing as a Wendigo . I wonder......
I enjoy learning about Pa. Native American history, along with the myths n folklore the state has to offer (and theres much of it) but never heard of the Wendigo before. Thanks very much!
Thanks for this video. We have been watching your videos to find cool places to go in Pennsylvania and the day is almost here! We’ll be there the week of March 16th, do you think it will be snowing?!?! Our Floridian kids are dying to see some snow, so that would be awesome. Looking forward to exploring some of the places you’ve done videos on. Keep doing what you do, and maybe add in some snow dances to keep that snow around a few more days! 😆
I smelled something very foul while walking through a park in New Jersey but couldn't see or find the source other than some decaying leaves Which did not fit the smell that I was scenting and I was very curious and then I thought of the Jersey devil Legend and horror story and I was wondering if maybe the Jersey devil is the same as this Wendigo character/ tale.
The other theory is a predator that is getting ready to attack maybe a bear or some other large carnivore the stomach bile acids would start churning and that smell would come from an attacking predator
There may be more to the story than you think? Check out CanAm Missing Project or 411 David Paulides & the Thousands of People gone missing from America's National Parks, many of the Native American Indian Stories seem to be True -Believe it or Not!
Sounds like Nephilim to me. Like Paul Bunyan, Jack and the Beanstalk's giant - who also was a cannibal, the "wind walkers", etc. The ancient legends and myths all go back to Genesis 6 in the Bible.
Great retelling of the legend! "The Wendigo" is a horror novella written by Algernon Blackwood in 1910 and worth a read to get the feel of being out in the woods with one of those spirits or creatures lurking. Here is the link to the story, via Project Gutenberg: www.gutenberg.org/files/10897/10897-h/10897-h.htm
I like how you can tell a creepy story calmly. Alone. In the woods.
Oh Cliff, that's quite a story. It's after 5 o'clock and I think I need a drink!
hi Am having Guinness 0.21am 3rd March brian
well done cliff brian Stay Safe

Thanks for sharing PA stories.
Cryptozoology is a neat subject to talk about. Thanks for sharing.
Wish I would have known back when you came up to the bake oven knob. We have property 2 miles away with Indian burial grounds and old teepee circles

I heard about this in Maine when I was a kid on canoeing trips. Also, it reminds me of 'The Beast' from 'Over the Garden Wall'.
Thank you so much for that Cliff, it was fantastic. I also realised I saw that on Supernatural, it was great. Is a good story for kids to keep them home. Glad you didn’t find one. Thanks so much for taking me along. Please stay safe and take care
I love the snow just not the cold lol. thanks for the story.
Beautiful walk with crunching of the snow & scary story. Love your stories!🥰
My wife saw a show about Helltown, Ohio and their Wendigo and she has never forgotten about it. Can’t tell her about one in PA ! 😂
Crunchy snow made this especially enjoyable.
Very interesting story but I am very happy my parents didn’t share it with me as a child. We camped all the time, I would have had nightmares for sure.
These types of stories are interesting , and fun., Do more On PA. Cryptids and Bigfoot History.and Native Americans
Thanks for the story man keep it up
I was here at 25 k subs
In Western Pennsylvania we called it "Ma'wen digo".
Kind of reminds me of the movie The Village>
Agree. Dumb ending, but the movie was kinda creepy.
Very good story teller Mr.C.But would not want to go camping with you and your tails.Peace.
Godspeed Woodsman

Freaky Nature Man is what we called him.
You are a great story teller Cliff, interesting legend!
Great story!!! Love the surroundings-the shot down the trail was comforting for some reason-maybe the lighting!🌸
I hadn't seen possums or coyotes in Pa until the last two years. I only seen one fox in my entire life. So believe cryptids could exist.
Like your new hat Cliff!
The Iroquois have a story of a body-less head with long hair that flies thru the woods and eats everything and everyone it finds.
I saw a Wendygo once. Yep, I watched her storm out of my old apartment, hop in her Jeep, and then just eerie red tail lights and tires screeching off into the night
😂
Thank you Cliff love stories like this.
I love to hear snow being walked on...
I am so glad you were looking, because I found myself automatically checking around my room looking for the Wendigo who was ready to snatch and eat you... now I can relax and enjoy your video. Thank you!

Oh, no, I didn’t just hear you say “irregardless”?!

Sounds a lot like government !
Those Wendigo's sound like some " bad eggs ", Cliff (🤣). Be ever vigilant out there and proceed with care, sir. (🤣)
Good History! Goes back a couple hundred years!
Sounds like the modern day. "Slenderman".
Is that the mythical been with deer horns, right?, nice to watch one of your videos again.
Good to see you always enjoy
Has anyone heard from Cliff? The last I heard he was looking for the Wendigo , but he did say he knew there was no such thing as a Wendigo . I wonder......
Always a good day when a new one pops up. Enjoy listening to you

The snow is melting fast, won't be much around by then.
I Hear there are sightings of Big Foot all over Pennsylvania !
Nah the Bigfoot left pa. In the 80’s when urban sprawl invaded
Scary !!!!! LOL thanks for the story..... New Hat?
thank for the excellent video. much respect
This story is featured in the books Scary Dtories to tell in the Dark.
😁👍 Nicely told.
I've heard of things like this in the American west. Called a "Skinwalker"
I love Pennsylvania cuz I'm
From there... Bradford County....no play like 🏠
Very interesting story Cliff!!! Good job on telling it.
These are always interesting stories!
Hi Cliff, what would you do if you saw a big, hairy man beast? 😱
Snow shoes dude. Snow shoes.
The original Paleo diet👍
I smelled something very foul while walking through a park in New Jersey but couldn't see or find the source other than some decaying leaves Which did not fit the smell that I was scenting and I was very curious and then I thought of the Jersey devil Legend and horror story and I was wondering if maybe the Jersey devil is the same as this Wendigo character/ tale.
You are lucky dude, at 9:50 something ran through the woods behind you.
Interesting story. I have read that it took 200 years for the Europeans to get the Native Indians to stop practicing cannibalism.
Sounds like an 👽.
Who would win a Windsgo or a vampire? Fight, or foot race?
Never know , you could get on TV , finding Bigfoot
The other theory is a predator that is getting ready to attack maybe a bear or some other large carnivore the stomach bile acids would start churning and that smell would come from an attacking predator
You didn't see it towards the beginning of the video? I did.
Ever hear of the Dogman? It's a 6.5ft to 7ft tall looking wolf\dog that stands on it's back legs, Look it up. If you believe that they are real.
it's pretty simple to find out what a Windigo is , ask a Native elder , also klooscap saga tells of it
Where were you with all that snow ?
nice video bro
Sounds demonic to me.

Look up Skin Walker next another Indian legend.
So you're saying not to eat your honey?
Pronounced "where did she go"
👍
Big foot ?
Big foot do exist if that what it is ?
Just a story ?
Check out that creature !:looks scary ! Not big foot !
That would scare me from hanging out in the woods !
Sound like your describing my ex wife 😂
Oh.!! My 😲
🤣🤣😉
Why didn't they hunt/eat animals or?? humans don't get it but interesting We Need To Share Now D Humans my battle Cry brian Ireland
Vs Mr Hyde
Sounds like Nephilim to me. Like Paul Bunyan, Jack and the Beanstalk's giant - who also was a cannibal, the "wind walkers", etc. The ancient legends and myths all go back to Genesis 6 in the Bible.
Eating people was part of their curse! they shouldn't have been a bad person they could have kept from shapeshifting during the moon cycle
