hi my iphone 7 plus is water damaged and now it keeps on restarting. sometime it gives the display and screen, camera, speakers works perfectly fine apart from home button. i opened it and found that the water marks rust around the taptic engin. do you think if i replace the taptic engin my home button/touch id will work??? Please help.
No, it is very likely there is still water around the home button and where it connects to the phone. My best suggestion is take the phone apart entirely, remove the logicboard and rub everything with 99% alcohol (alcohol dissipates water) especially where the home button connects to the screen and phone. Unplug the home button from the frame and clean that connection as well. Let us know if it helps.
i tried that its still the same. i removed the taptic engine entirely the iphone is still doing the exact same restarting as it was doing before means with the taptic engin. i even made a video but i don't know if i can share it with you. whats your suggestion now?
The issue sounds like there is still water or corrosion from water in the phone. Take out the logicboard and clean it with 99% alcohol, check all connections for corrosion www.ifixit.com/Guide/iPhone+7+Logic+Board+Replacement/76050

replace the taptic engine of my iphone 7 plus with an original one and even then the home or the 3D touch does not work, help me please
The taptic engine is not part of the home button or 3d touch. You might have damaged the cable to the home button.
@@GRIBSOFT it is because the iphone 7 and newer dont have a physically touching home button
I have changed the taptic engine but vibration still not working
Replaced this taptic engine on my iphone7 still no vibration and now my speakers don't work.

iphone 7 and above taptic engines are locked to each device. don't waste your time and money
