    Quality upfront definitely pays off in the long run. This is in great condition for it's age and is a credit to the quality of Fairline yachts. Great tour thank you.

    If I were buying a boat, and that would need a lotto win, I would definitely go straight to James for the deal. I trust him..seems a really nice and funny geezer..

    Buy quality and not what the current fad is. Explorer yachts are all the rage right now. But in 15 years, people will say they are dated looking and won't want them. There is a reason that the superyacht sharp style design, or the wedding cake style has stood the test of time. A quality yacht, even an Explorer yacht needn't look like a battleship or a tanker. If the quality of the hull allows you to traverse the globe, carry what you want on board, then get it so that way in 10-20 years, the style is timeless. Same thing for smaller boats. Everything is going electric, but classic diesel powered yachts that have the range to take you to more places than just the neck dock to,power up for 3 hours, will be more appealing for quite a while. And a quality boat doesn't break apart.

    Another informative tour of a classic Fairline 46 that still has the 21st century lines, James. If it was my boat I would get a complete refit of the bedrooms and the lounge area/ galley to bring it upto date, aside from that it's an excellent boat for her age.

    Quality costs and is worth it. If the boat would be lesser quality, how much additional $$ over the years would have been needed to keep it in that condition?

    That's a 150k boat. It may look good but all the electronics and appliances are out of date, and you never mentioned how many hours are on her? My guess is 800 to 1000, nearing the big ticket repairs. The new owners could easily drop another 75k as things go wrong and updated. After all that's been done, then its a 225K boat IMO.

    That wood work is still immaculate. If the engines are still in good shape you will have many years of pleasure with this boat. Bring it to the Med and you will have fun all summer long.

  • @jacktyler7599
    @jacktyler7599 5 месяцев назад +1

    'Buy quality, buy once'. Sage words. James, I do wish you would - when presenting these older gems - include a reference to total engine hours. Marine electronics have zoomed up in capability but not cost, but maintaining engines only gets more expensive. Routine maintenance doesn't refer to rebuilding injectors, as one small example. Good price, tho'.
