Great video bud. Those big rods are really good if you use a camping/military style can opener because of the rounded edge curves along the rod and throws more materiel. That's what I use anyways. Back of knife is next best thing IMO. Take a bit of cotton and wrap the Bic lighter in it and then wrap in electrical tape. Even if the lighter is dead it still throws sparks, the cotton works as fire starters and the electrical tape will burn longer like melted plastic.
Obviously, all things being equal, I would choose the Bayite rod. That being said, the best ferro rod in the world is the one you have with you when you need it.
If you watch to the end, you will see that I have a Bic and even state that it would be my go-to for a combustion device. Although we enjoy using rod's too. Thanks for watching and commenting.
