Yet in Gaza Hamas has pushed different laws and on top of that they have publicly stated that gays will be punished by death in Gaza

You are right, she may be the greatest singer and a wholesome person and the people still will judge her based on what country she represent, that's the format of the Eurovision. It's not racism, more like nationalism, but that's the format of the contest: the singers represent their countries, the country's image paints the image of the singer.
