Bro, you got it all wrong. I'm in the UK, and Charlton in a good club. They were in the premier League. He will encounter a proper, professional run club, proper facilities and proper support. If he shines at this level, another club at a higher level will buy him. He is young. He can easily get to the prem if he is good enough. Don't be like Whisper in the reserves. Do you know how difficult it is to rise through the leagues in England? And as you said, once he delivers it will be good. What if he does not deliver? That is my point. Being placed higher will only help your chances because there are many levels below. If he fails, God forbid at Charlton then the drop off is back in the JPL.

He is more guaranteed game time, than a top tier team in Belgium or mls. This is good for his development, also he would have already had his foot through the door in England with this move. Dixon is raw and wouldn’t have gotten game time at a top league’s first team. Look at Magee, we don’t need to rush our young players, let them develop.

I’m not sure if the Craig Butler comparison is fair. Craig put in the hard work and sacrifice initially to get Leon Bailey established in Europe and this has provided him with the leverage needed to get other players into similar situations. Yes, Craig is bold but it’s easy for him to be bold when he has Bailey as tangible proof that he can take a player from humble beginnings to Premiership level. It will even get easier for Craig if Whisper makes it to a similar level.

I am quite OK with that for Mr. Dixon. If he performed will in the league I am quite sure big clubs will see him and he can be promoted into the bigger leagues..I will give an example...Jarrad that played for Everton fc he came fro Carlisle United and he was spotted and when on to Everton and did well and he now demands with a high prices from various clubs in Europe's,,, so Dixon can start at the club and excel in the near future..all he has to do work and be discipline.... I did send several emails to the Everton football club to purchase him on several occasions... but they did not respond...I personally did want him to play for Everton fc it my team and we have been struggling for good number nine... I hope while he at that club he can be pick up by one the Premier league team and I hope it's Everton fc.

Man Charlton is a much better option than mls, Portugal and Belgium. Charlton are also looking likely to get promoted this year, especially if they seal the Dixon deal. It's a great deal for Dixon. Plus Karoy Anderson is also at Charlton athletic who have always had a great pathway for Jamaican players.

It is a good move for a player of this age and ability, Dixon is still raw and CharltonAthletic is one of the best football clubs for development. There's no way he could've signed for a premier league or championship club. Give him two years and we'll see a much improved player. This was a very narrow assessment. Charleton is a big club with a professional set up. We have to temper our expectations of our local ballers moving overseas. This is a big opportunity for Dixon to develop and get more game time. Our football development hasnt taken big enough steps to expect local players to move from Jamaica into big teams consistently. We just dont have a football culture focused enough for that to happen. Richards may never play for chelsea first team. Dixon stands a better chance of making first team appearances than richards at chelsea. The progression of the baller comes down to his efforts and ability and not so much a marketing approach
