This was my first song that introduced me to Bjork. I remember this song was part of the soundtrack of the X-Files movie in 1998, which was my fav tv series back then. Been fan of Bjork ever since.
This is perhaps one of my favourite Bjork tunes- I was among the first to buy her Human Emotion LP when she first aired on MTV. She also did great work with Universitat Pompeu Fabra in Barcelona, Spain. She is an all around great artist, movie actress, film producer, and digital artist extrodinaire. If she were the world's best basketball player they would use the term that she is amphibious- which is a fancy word meaning that you shoot equally well with your left hand as your right hand.

I was just noticing how this video aged so well. Even in comparison with her recent visuals, such as Utopia or The Gate, it looks amazing, and it actually has a lot in common with the transparency and prism-like colors.

How can anyone let himself move like this, like he REALLY want? I think not many people in this world can do this, and this is amazing. When I dance freely with the music that I like, I aim for free movements like this, but something stops me. But nothing stops her, this is truly amazing, I love it. It must exist in our world.
Bjork is such an expressive woman and this video shows it. I love her singing and her acting. I love the way she becomes the "animal" in the bear. This is simply a superb performance all round. She's an amazing artist and unique as well.
Actually this is the very first song in which I heard and I was hooked it's deep and intricately a masterpiece based on being a relentless seeker towards the purpose in existing!!!!
And Bjork would say, "it is imporrtant to use as much of yourr school time to absorrb all of the information that you need to feel just as great as I feel now."
😭 yoo i was just looking at the other HD versions this morning, and then this pops up today. I now have hope Hyperballad is on dee wei. I want a Wanderlust 4K, lol. I wish there was a video for Unison.
I'm a little uncertain on if we'll get Hyperballad purely based on how it's video came to be. The whole thing was done by screwing with the timing of a single roll of film before they transferred it to tape. If she still has the film then HD is doable. If just the tape. It won't happen.
She's wonderfully outlandish such a beautiful unique voice And style of poetry and words. Uniqueness i would love 💘 to see her sailing on a viking boat and stearing the ship. Since she's from a far away land ! AWESOME
The sounds even after 20 years is incredible The lyrics fits me as 15 as 27 The video could easily be from nowadays and it is brilliant! I'm so grateful for Bjork in my life. For being able to listen her, watch her in my time.
Björk es un ser tan extraño, tiene una peculiaridad que la hace extremadamente original y auténtica, es impresionante lo que hace, me fascina que en cada producción es un personaje distinto, no cabe duda que Björk no es de este planeta. ❤️👽✨
I was 16 when I first heard Björk back in 1993. My mother belonged to a club called Leisure Books that sent you a catalogue every month from which you could choose 3 books for a set price. You could also select CD's. One month my mother couldn't make up her mind so I asked if I could choose a CD. I was into grunge back then (Nirvana, Stone Roses, Stone Temple Pilots, Smashing Pumpkins) and the cover of the CD made her look like a grunge rock chick so I chose Debut not knowing what to expect when it arrived. My first listen I was a bit taken aback with her voice and vocal style but the album quickly grew on me that it became a favourite for that year. It also got me into dancepop, electropop and trip hop that would eventually lead to a deep love for house music. I had officially become a fan. I have been a fan of hers for 27 years now as I turn 43 this year. I still deeply love this woman's music.
Stefarooh cool story dude. My first exposure to dance music was playing Wipeout XL for the PS1. I heard Firestarter for the first time by The Prodigy. And the rest is history. I’m gonna be 42 this year n still a huge fan of dance music.
I listened to this on a cassette in my first car screaming the harmonies to this! That album was literally "hunting" me and has shaped me as a musician for sure! I love you Björk! Thanks for being you! !!

Brilliant, in the major art of poetry, which is "saying as much as possible with the less words possible". You're "Queen of the Congo", Björk: Whatever your sex, your country, your colour, your breed, your religion !
Shoutout to my dad for playing this song for me when I was eight. Bjork's was one of the dozen or so CDs we had in our beat up Subaru, and this song attached itself to core memories in the back of my head the first time I heard it. Hunter is the soundtrack to the first decade of my life. I'm so incredibly happy I found it again.
Björk, this song rides like a Bentley, to this day, in 2021. you're the first wimmin-lady to inspire me to build fan videos for my favorite songs. one day, and with some decent production, i hope to reflect the power of your genes through my own!
Even after 20 years, I adore this video. It´s like a visualisation of getting overwhelmed by your totem animal as a predator/hunter on a personal and erotic level as well as a wider interpretation that sees the polar bear as a symbol for the land, the weather conditions, the general climate of Iceland. Björk literally channeling her "icelandishness", putting it in front of the world. Strong video that still sends shivers down my spine although I´d really wish for a version of this video done with today´s CGI power.
I think she was thinking about Ricardo López. López developed an obsession with her, and made a video diary musing about Björk and other topics at his apartment in Florida. On September 12, 1996, he mailed a letter bomb rigged with sulfuric acid to her residence in London, then returned home and filmed his suicide. He shaved his head in the video. After López's suicide, Björk said in a statement that she was "very distressed" by the incident. She sent a card and flowers to López's family. Björk left London for Spain, where she recorded her album Homogenic.

This was my first song that introduced me to Bjork. I remember this song was part of the soundtrack of the X-Files movie in 1998, which was my fav tv series back then. Been fan of Bjork ever since.
I was a baby (1995) when I first saw this video. I remembered it and I’ve been listening to Bjork since then lol thanks mom. ♥️
Not a single day I don't fall more in LOVE with Bjork and her style - past, present and future!
1997 Still so fresh, BJÖRK knows how to make a memorable experience. How Scandinavian of her. Always so ahead of time
This video was inspired by the person stalking her during the making of this album. He tried to kill her by mailing an acid bomb. He also committed suicide to "be with her" in the after life.
He was absolutely obsessed with her and quite crazy.

We’ve finally got these smartphone face filters in the modern day, but our Mother Superior of Music had that cutting edge technology in her pocket way back when!
Bjork’s music is Iconic- completely Brilliant. Completely unique and just MAGICAL. Much love from a life long fan in America
❤Always. Thank you for sharing your great talent.11:50 pm cst 5.10.23
"I'm bald..."
"Gurl... ME TOO"
I'm glad and I feel happy that Bjork is still on planet earth
Could believe this MV was released in 1997? I can’t hardly imagine the fact .Bjork is always ahead of time
The original of creation. Björk has set many standards in the industry and she’s also created a path for others to try and follow, but their will only be one! Björk💕🥰
I was just noticing how this video aged so well. Even in comparison with her recent visuals, such as Utopia or The Gate, it looks amazing, and it actually has a lot in common with the transparency and prism-like colors.
I’ll never forget the feeling I had when I heard this song and listened to the entire Homogenic album for the first time. What a total soundgasm😍🥰This video had me in zombified rapture…. Bjork’s music is totally Magical and galactic 💯⭐️🌌🌠💫✨🎶🎤🎵✨💓💓💓
One of Bjork's best songs! Her voice is splendid and captivating in this particular song.

i love björk so much 😭😭 her music resonates with my soul
How can anyone let himself move like this, like he REALLY want? I think not many people in this world can do this, and this is amazing. When I dance freely with the music that I like, I aim for free movements like this, but something stops me. But nothing stops her, this is truly amazing, I love it. It must exist in our world.
Her acting is actually brillant
She is so other worldly beautiful. I have the urge to meet this person, as if my journey through life wouldnt be completed without meeting her.
My favorite Björk video of all😌
Bjork is such an expressive woman and this video shows it. I love her singing and her acting. I love the way she becomes the "animal" in the bear. This is simply a superb performance all round. She's an amazing artist and unique as well.
Can’t think of any other artist who’s updating their catalogue. This is such a treat.
Her Lyrical Content and Artistic expression is phenomenal
Dancer in the dark is when I first heard her magical voice and brilliant acting..still a huge fan.
Actually this is the very first song in which I heard and I was hooked it's deep and intricately a masterpiece based on being a relentless seeker towards the purpose in existing!!!!
I’ll sacrifice paying attention in school to watch this
😂😂😂😂
thats me rn lol
Mia Ferron at job xd
And Bjork would say, "it is imporrtant to use as much of yourr school time to absorrb all of the information that you need to feel just as great as I feel now."
@@PitsTasteGood goddamn😅😆😆😆
A true artist of our time, I love all her work. She's been a big inspiration for me.
😭 yoo i was just looking at the other HD versions this morning, and then this pops up today. I now have hope Hyperballad is on dee wei. I want a Wanderlust 4K, lol. I wish there was a video for Unison.
Yeah! VESPERTINE definitly had tooooo less videos!!!
No other album had less then 4 videos I guess....
I'm a little uncertain on if we'll get Hyperballad purely based on how it's video came to be. The whole thing was done by screwing with the timing of a single roll of film before they transferred it to tape.
If she still has the film then HD is doable.
If just the tape. It won't happen.
I remember her when she released HUMAN BEHAVIOR on MTV. Decades ago.....love BJORK FOREVER
She's wonderfully outlandish such a beautiful unique voice And style of poetry and words. Uniqueness i would love 💘 to see her sailing on a viking boat and stearing the ship. Since she's from a far away land ! AWESOME
Queen of uploading hd version of a timeless gem
everything about this is genius, altho the fact it fades out before the outro of the full length track is a crime. those short video slots in 90s mtv!
The sounds even after 20 years is incredible
The lyrics fits me as 15 as 27
The video could easily be from nowadays and it is brilliant!
I'm so grateful for Bjork in my life. For being able to listen her, watch her in my time.
This song, and All is Full of Love are fantastic. The video visuals for each are incredible for the time. I also like Big Time Sensuality.
Outstanding musical artist in every sense of the word.
0:16 the blinking of the eye and swaying of body in synch with music is MARVELOUS
It's magic 🙌
Imagine being this awesome and iconic at the same time? Only Björk can accomplish this.
@michael mcpeek SO MAD THIS GUY XĎDDDDDD every comment LOL
Have loved this song for so long. björk is a timeless unstoppable god amongst fragile mortals
Björk es un ser tan extraño, tiene una peculiaridad que la hace extremadamente original y auténtica, es impresionante lo que hace, me fascina que en cada producción es un personaje distinto, no cabe duda que Björk no es de este planeta. ❤️👽✨
I have heard this song so many times yet only now I have seen the video. Bjork never ceases to amaze and confound me! I love her!
I was 16 when I first heard Björk back in 1993. My mother belonged to a club
called Leisure Books that sent you a catalogue every month from which you could
choose 3 books for a set price. You could also select CD's. One month my mother
couldn't make up her mind so I asked if I could choose a CD. I was into grunge
back then (Nirvana, Stone Roses, Stone Temple Pilots, Smashing Pumpkins) and
the cover of the CD made her look like a grunge rock chick so I chose Debut not
knowing what to expect when it arrived. My first listen I was a bit taken aback
with her voice and vocal style but the album quickly grew on me that it became
a favourite for that year. It also got me into dancepop, electropop and trip
hop that would eventually lead to a deep love for house music. I had officially
become a fan. I have been a fan of hers for 27 years now as I turn 43 this
year.
Excelente!
These are the music videos I would want to be reuploaded:
Big Time Sensuality
I Miss You
Isobel
Hyper-ballad
It's Oh So Quiet
All Is Full Of Love
I feel like "All is Full of Love" was uploaded in HD already.
Dont forget my name
The sugarcubes - deus
Venus as a Boy
Seeing what happened with John K. I don't think they're gonna do I Miss You
I listened to this on a cassette in my first car screaming the harmonies to this!

An amazing artist. Timeless.
This is what I envisioned music to be by 2020.
To give this energy.

How do they make her bald?
@@WowwowLulu a bald cap
she’s so attractive in every form and way i can’t stay away
I haven't listened to this song in 18 years! I had forgotten how haunting and amazing it is!
I didn't know how much i needed this
Fell in love with her on "Oh so quiet",, This takes it over the top ! She is sweeter now than ever... LOVE HER !!
Björk everytime you post a video in HQ i feel so spoiled, even if i have seen the video and heard the song before :O
She was very ahead of the times. Still can't be topped as far as artsy music goes. Plus she's so gorgeous I've always had such a huge crush on Bjork.
the way they processed her voice is beautiful
and instrumental is beautifully haunting
How can she shake her head like that? My brain hurts when I try to shake my head like that.
It's sped up
It reminds me Tricky's video Hell Is Round the Corner
timeless and legendary, from a masterpiece of an album/era
Even after 20 years, I adore this video. It´s like a visualisation of getting overwhelmed by your totem animal as a predator/hunter on a personal and erotic level as well as a wider interpretation that sees the polar bear as a symbol for the land, the weather conditions, the general climate of Iceland. Björk literally channeling her "icelandishness", putting it in front of the world. Strong video that still sends shivers down my spine although I´d really wish for a version of this video done with today´s CGI power.
Even 20yrs after. Damn. I heard this that time too. So is there any influence by this? I am now filmmaker
lets do iit
I think she was thinking about Ricardo López.
López developed an obsession with her, and made a video diary musing about Björk and other topics at his apartment in Florida. On September 12, 1996, he mailed a letter bomb rigged with sulfuric acid to her residence in London, then returned home and filmed his suicide.
He shaved his head in the video.
After López's suicide, Björk said in a statement that she was "very distressed" by the incident. She sent a card and flowers to López's family.
Björk left London for Spain, where she recorded her album Homogenic.
@@catg6114 Shrouded hand just made a video making that same observation. The head movements is what really seems similar to me
Iceland is not all ice.......
simply epic, awesome voice and a video way ahead of its time.
