I strongly hope ( and assume ) you speak the truth. That woman and others saved your a**. I lost track of my wallet in the Bahamas also. My fault. Overdrank and failed to keep situational awareness. Wallet recovered quickly (minus cash). Found an ATM and generously and humbly thanked those that helped I don’t know you. I assume you’re being truthful. If not, you deserve all bad that comes your way. May the rest of your trip be safe and trouble-free.
Oh my goodness! I absolutely love Carnival. I fell in love the first time I stepped foot on Carnival Vista in 2018. I was supposed to sail with Carnival Sunrise last year but unfortunately it didn't happen. I'm looking forward to cruising with Carnival again this year. There's nothing like it. Josh! I can SO relate! The same thing happened to me on vacation back in Oct in Key West. I left my wallet on the beach at Sunrise (put it down to take a photo!) and didn't realize til much later..almost ruined our vacation..Thankfully we were staying on the Navy Base so someone turned it in pretty quickly but I didn't get contacted as quickly and had already had to get a new military ID (to be able to get on/off base at hotel!) and cancelled all my cards. Had no way to fly home..we ended up renting a car to drive from FL to GA, cutting our stay in KW short. As we finished up renting the car, got a call from the MP's at the base that they had my wallet..Everything was there, but lesson learned...everytime I look at that wallet now, I think of that. So happy you found it!!
I am new to your Channel so I don’t know where you live so this may not work for you but in the US we can have both a driver’s license and a state ID. Always leave one in the safe in your room. That way if something like this happens someone else in your party can retrieve the extra out of the room and bring it down to you. This is probably another good reason to have your passport and leave it in the safe in the room. The point is to make sure to have two photo IDs and leave one in the room. It will still suck because you loose the cards in your wallet but better than being stuck and left behind.
Hey Josh Peter mentioned about the Bahamas Celebration being dark. They sail to Freeport , then you stay in a hotel for a day and then sail back to Florida.
Josh, you CAN get back on ship without ship card. ***QUICK CRUISE TIPS*** Before leaving for cruise take pictures with your phone your dl passport cruise documents credit cards... to be extra cautious you could print a copy to put in your luggage... just in case you lose them you have some sort of documentation. Leave enough cash in your car to pay for parking /gas to get home ... that way its there...you cannot spend or lose it You can indeed western union your own self money. You just need to know your bank info... if you've taken pics as mentioned above you would have that info... lost my debit card in another state once... sent myself money. Never ever never drink the "rum punch" at any port.... only drink from bottles or cans you open yourself and never ever leave unattended.... couple of friends of mine had the " rum punch" and were drugged.... they were absolutely passed completely out.... very scary. ONLY take what cash you think you will need to port ...leave everything else in cabin safe
I would think maybe you could take a picture with your cell phone of ship card, drivers license and credit card customer number (so you will have the number to call and cancel card).
Josh knows we would have never left him there alone if he couldn't get back on the ship. I told him that. We are better friends than that. I told him not to worry about money if he didn't find it til he got home.

Hello Josh , I been using wallet with chain attached , small clip onto jeans , belt loop etc Best thing ever did , seen so many people have trips ruined when misplace wallet , some leave them table top and forget , with chain it’s all ways with me , good prevention against pickpockets as well , 😊😊
did you have your passport on the ship in safe? one of the guys could have gotten it for you and hopefully that would have at least gotten you back on ship (happened to us once with one of our kids who lost ship card). BUT glad you found wallet!
Josh, when this video began, I could feel your pain. That was something I would do. After 45 cruises, I never bring my wallet with me ashore....just my cruise card and maybe 40 bucks or so. The wallet stays in the locked room safe. So glad it all ended well.
I have a canvas pouch I wear around my neck. I put ship card, DL and some cash. I swim with it and have it on me at all time. Also take picture with phone of all your cards. Especially your credit card cuz you may need to cancel if if not found. Scary lesson learned.
My husband lost his work phone in a dune buggy we rented in Cozumel and they found it!!! We had to pay a lot to ship it back but to us..but it was great to get it back.

As a loyal to royal cruiser I never carry my wallet with me, I leave it in the safe and only carry a Passport card, seapass, maybe a credit card, and some cash on a lanyard around my neck, so I can just look down and see if its all there hanging on my chest.

Then after you found it and y’all stood around talking I was screaming at my iPad “get back on the ship already!”😂. I always take my ship card, some cash and 1 credit card with me off the ship. I have a clear ziploc style pouch that hangs off my lanyard that I store it all in and it’s around my neck the entire time, even if I’m swimming. I keep a photo copy of my credit card in the safe in my room in case I lose the card. Also, I take a picture of the ships phone number and my passport with my cell phone (actual passport stays in safe). So glad it all worked out and I am impressed at how calm all of you were during that situation.

It was quite some time before he actually found it after we had trouble finding the security shack then going from there to find the ladies that helped us figure out which taxi driver was ours only because Josh had him on video from earlier. We were all tense over it.

I keep all of my cards in the safe. I take only a copy of my passport, my license, my ship card on a lanyard and a bit of cash. I also leave a copy of my passport to my parents. Better to be safe than sorry.
Also, wear real shorts that don't have pockets just flopping around. 99% of the time when I can't find my wallet, it was because I was wearing a pair of gym shorts and it fell out in the car. It's also the only way I've had a screen break on a phone.
