My albino budgie died a few days ago. I really loved him so much. He had 4 siblings who are missing him. He didn't have any of these symptoms. He would make too much noises and was happy. I even played with him an our before his death! It was just without any reason. I came to check them out and he was on the floor, silent... :'(

I just lost a budgie. He had an accident a few months ago and suffered internal injuries. He lived 3 more months, and I had hope he’d made a full recovery. Sadly. I was wrong. It broke my heart. There was no saving him, even with vet intervention. I did everything I could when he had his accident - he stayed inpatient at the Animal Hospital until he was strong enough for me to take over his care. He seemed to be thriving, but he had no muscle mass left after 3 months. I had his blood work done about 2 weeks after his accident (who knew it would cost so much!) so we had a baseline for him to compare to when he showed signs of dying. He fought so hard at the end! Then he let me know he was tired. He was ready to rest peacefully, and I allowed my vet to ease him home. I’m crying as I type this. I loved that little guy so much.

I lost a budgie suddenly because I wasn't aware that she was sick until a couple hours before her death. Her mate, who I had for 10 years started showing her symtoms, and I immediately removed him from the cage and placed him in a carrier bag with a plastic covering. I kept giving him warm socks filled with rice in rotation until I got a heating pad. The first day I was so sure he was going to pass away because he slept all day and didn't eat, but when it was time to put them to bed, he woke up and started eating fervently. He was in the bag for about two weeks until he fully recovered.

My bird just died today. He had 2 out of 5 of these. I really wish i found this video before. My heart goes out to all the family's who have lost a pet bird.
I can't believe my budgie is dying. He was just fine a few hours ago. I don't know what happened to him. He was very active and playful. Now he can't stand properly. Please pray for my budgie🙏🏻 Edit: I posted this video 6 hours ago. when I came back from school he died. Rest in Peace Snow 2021 - 2022
This is all true. But just because the budgie is sick does not mean it will always die; my English Budgie had a lung infection that 10 days of antibiotics turned around. All I had to do was put the syringe (no needle) in front of his beak and when he bit it - I pushed in the medicine. Within 2 days he was clearly feeling better and fully recovered. But yes, all those are indications that medical attention is needed. Good luck and enjoy your babies.
Last Saturday I got my first budgie and he haved the same symptoms but Sunday he was active and he was eating, drinking, playing and others. Good now he dont haves these symptoms💖thanks for showing us this video💖
He might've been in shock since you said you just got them. I think most birds that are transferred to a new home become really scared and will refuse to eat or move for a while. My 2 budgies and 1 of my cockatiels did this. My other cockatiel did for a little while, but she saw my other cockatiel and got so excited to play with him that she mimicked everything he did and ate when he ate and climbed wherever he climbed.
I really wish I would have seen this earlier. My beautiful baby Sage passed away last week and my other bird hasn’t been the same. The avian vet said Sage was perfectly healthy, but he was just sleeping all day and it worried me. He might have been sick for a while. I miss him.
My bird is experiencing some of these symptoms right now. Chippy is a great bird, but my mom won’t let me take her to the vet, so it’s a slow painful time for her. I feel terrible, but I’m glad she had a good long life.
My budgie has one: when i get close to him i can hear him breathing, but i can't hear my other bird. His tail sometimes goes up and down, but my parents don't believe me :(
@@AlexThePharaoh hey thats great to know! my budgie has been doing the same thing since 6 months . She has been on antibiotics twice now. It just keeps coming back for some reason . Hoping for a speedy recovery for her also
@@monkey1234512345 thank you, i hope your bird is fine and that he will recover. When mine was recovering we put him on the balcony and he actracted a lot of birds. Since then he loves going outside and hes much more cherfull and healthy. If you live in warmer climates i strongly recommend taking him once or twice a day outside, under supervision.
@@AlexThePharaoh yea i have been doing that since years. I have 2 budgies who have an entire room for themselves and they are playing all day long. And i take them and keep them outside in the evening as they love responding to birds especially parrots . Thanks for the suggestion though 🙂
my rescued lovely " sunshine" learned to understand english and was such a good bird she died having cancer--3 operations extended her life for 6 yrs--vet said she looked like a happy and healthy bird, she peeped at me twice before final operation--enjoy heaven , i love you .
Today in the morning, I found my budgie on the bottom of his cage in the corner, not moving or eating but he was still alive and breathing. I held him and he made some movement but I had to go to school. I’m currently at school, please pray for him
So i just bought a young male budgie, he still bas the stripes above the cera, and for the first 2 days he had diarrhea. He is now pooping normally but his poop sticks to his vent, i cleaned him and after 2-3 normal dropings on the ground it sticks again, he is very young. Should i consider it him not being good enough at cleaning himself?
I got 2 budgies for the first time in yrs, they let us carry them the 2nd day but they are super quiet birds and both males simply don't chirp as much. They arnt experiencing any symptoms lately but I was/ am still worried since idk if they have always been quiet or if they are normally more vocal.
If your budgie had an injury, such as having their quick ripped out when they got a nail pulled, all of these symptoms will occur for about 2 weeks from the blood lose and stress. Not all vets are avian experts, even if Google is listing them as such, and experience doesn't mean being an expert. As bird owners, we have experience too, so trust your gut and don't hesitate to walk. This video scared me into taking my budgie to a vet.... who killed him by giving him a heart attack after trimming his beak twice and having a new assistant hold him for over 20 minutes. That's a lot of stress for a little bird who is recovering from an injury, so keep that in mind if they had an injury, such as a ripped quick. If you know your bird is recovering from an injury, they're not dying with these symptoms! If you stress them out by taking them to a janky vet, who lies saying they are avian experts and games Google SEO results, you might end up losing a little buddy. It happened to me and I hope it doesn't happen to you
For a couple days my budgie was quite inactive and very quiet. But now he's back to being active, should I be concerned or is it just that he was tired?
My bird isn’t a budgie, he’s a conure (a white eyed conure) and he’s almost 5 months old and his crop is always empty but we’ve been giving him pellets, seeds and fruits but his crop is always empty, sometimes I have to stay with him and make sure he eats. He doesn’t have dirty feathers and his personality has always been a dull, lazy so I don’t know what to do, his feces is normal so I don’t know whats wrong Edit: he has a lot of urine in his feces
My little girl will be 9 in june, latley she has been going into season and molting/pin feathers and is shaking/vibrating a little bit but she has done this around this time of year her whole life, her feathers apart from a few pin feathers is looking healthy and clean, she hasnt had any weird stools, in fact she pooped on my hand earlier and it was normal, she is eating and drinking, playing with toys and preening as normal but she has always been a lower energy bird, im glad i watched this, i worry alot about her and this gives me peace of mind knowing that she probabaly isnt dying. I will still take her to my local avian vet for a checkup.
Taking her to a vet for a check up is always a great idea! Due to her age I also recommend that you take her every 6 months for a check up, to make sure everything is fine. Wish her many more years!
Sometimes might not help even you notice these symptoms. I have a budgie, she was rubbing her eyes often. I took her to see a vet. The vet said she has sinuses. The vet prescribed the antibiotics but said the medicine would not help. If it gets serious, the vet recommends euthanasia.
When I got my budgie she was missing some toes and her butty was dirty:( it made me feel bad she looked sad like depressed 💔 she looks healthy now and she looks really happy💖💕
my budgie, Oliver , passed away last night. We loved him so much and he was so strong. We had him since 2019. I didn't even realize but I got to take a picture of him before he passed.
When we got our budgie I was only 10 years old, the oldest child of my parents. My dad and younger brother who was 6 at the time loved birds. And budgies are very common in our country. In pet stores you can see them all the time, sometimes with 20 in a small box, waiting to be sold. We got ours from a good breeder though, his name was Yugi. And he was a beautiful shade of blue. At the time we had done a lot of research, buying books from the library and such since the internet 10 years wasn't that big yet to find this kind of information. And my family didn't speak English as fluent as I do now. So the only info available was the info in our own language. But looking back, what we researched was severely outdated. We didn't give the care as good as he needed. We barely even let him out of his cage. And as I grew older and became a teenager, I went through puberty and suffered from depression. I didn't look his way. My mom mostly took care of him, as we were all busy with school, work or trying to survive life and figure out what to do with it. She updated on new research every so often, but my god we lacked. And for the past few years, Yugi displayed most of the symptoms you mentioned. We went to our vet several times, but nothing was ever found. 1,5 years ago we went to a specific vet who had more experience with birds. And they warned us the advises our own vet gave were could turn out deadly for our Yugi. But even she didn't find anything. And then, last December the day after Christmas, we found him dead. And I realized how little I was involved, and how much more we could have done if I had thrown myself into his care. So I made a promise to myself. I'm no longer a child, or teenager. I'm 20 years old. And did research on my snake on my own and am taking very good care of her. This time, with our new budgies coming this spring, I will do everything I can to give it the best care possible. Do extensive research and rectify the mistakes I made before. I owe it to Yugi after all. And I believe I can genuinely give them the best quality of life I was too young for to give to Yugi back then.
@@Bird-Nuggets Thank you, I'm working on researching as much as possible and videos like these really help out. So please keep up the good work on educating people!
I'm very nervous. My budgie, Jarvis, was my pandemic buddy, and she still is. But now when I pick her up, she is warmer than the other birds I have, and she has a lump near her vent that looks like a bunch of eggs, but she never layed them, even though this has been going on for a while. I fear that she might die, and I already have enough to deal with anxiety.
One of my budgies has this underweight line but she eats healthy.. she was thin from the beginning. But both also fly a lot and are active the whole day.
@@Bird-Nuggets i will try it later! But i think that she is okay, she looks like this like 3 years but most of the time when she took a long flight and is sweating a bit
Hi! Please monitor your budgie closely but don't make it scared otherwise it will just confuse you. Remember, any uncertainty needs to be addressed to a vet. Yes, it could be nervous and breath heavy. Keep an eye on it.
My budgie noodle which was blue in colour died at february 24 2023 it's coundnt manage to lay an egg and stopped breathing meanwhile my other bird Maggie was crawling on it I miss it so much. The same budgie I saw in ur video I miss it more now.... 😭 ... May God give u a good life ❤
Last week my bird died I wish I noticed before she went to hevean she was very weak and wouldn't eat or drink I got so worried I took her to the vet but on the way there she died rip 😢💔😥
My bird is showing all of theses symptoms, and I've told my parents but they refuse to take her to a vet. She is cleaning, bit she doesn't to it for as long, and she no longer plays with her favorite toys. I hope that she will be okay soon

One month ago I lost my bird. It was well tamed and could also talk. I miss it so so much❤️😔He was only 7 months old. You are now flying in bird heaven with all of the other birds.🕊❤️
My budgie Blu died today 😭, had her for almost 5 years. I cried a lot. I'm disappointed that I didn't comfort her more during her last breaths, I was just frozen in shock....😔😔
My bird died yesterday her name was Jwel she was a love bird the male bird's name is Blu he is still alive but we gave him a nice place to live
I am watching this after both of my budgies died. One was ill, and the other had brain cancer. The other died this year. I still can't get over her. Rip Tigi
The blue and white budge reminds me of my budge that used to sing a lot but they (I didn’t know if it was a girl or a boy) flew away
Please pray for my budgie🙏🏻
Edit: I posted this video 6 hours ago. when I came back from school he died. Rest in Peace Snow 2021 - 2022
My budgie has messy feathers, i hope he gets well soon
This is all true. But just because the budgie is sick does not mean it will always die; my English Budgie had a lung infection that 10 days of antibiotics turned around. All I had to do was put the syringe (no needle) in front of his beak and when he bit it - I pushed in the medicine. Within 2 days he was clearly feeling better and fully recovered. But yes, all those are indications that medical attention is needed. Good luck and enjoy your babies.
Hope Skippy and Billy are fine. They are adorable!
Thank you, they're doing great!

@@AlexThePharaoh yea i have been doing that since years. I have 2 budgies who have an entire room for themselves and they are playing all day long. And i take them and keep them outside in the evening as they love responding to birds especially parrots . Thanks for the suggestion though 🙂

I had my parrot for 20 years
Today in the morning, I found my budgie on the bottom of his cage in the corner, not moving or eating but he was still alive and breathing. I held him and he made some movement but I had to go to school. I’m currently at school, please pray for him
my bird has most of these symptoms. it’s sunday and theres no open vets. im really worried
Which medicine is good for budgies

Rip ❤❤❤❤
Maybe it was a rainy day or it's been dark or cold the they he was like this?
I am so glad my budgie is not sick cuz i cheek up on him every day and make sure he is happy and healthy
My bird isn’t a budgie, he’s a conure (a white eyed conure) and he’s almost 5 months old and his crop is always empty but we’ve been giving him pellets, seeds and fruits but his crop is always empty, sometimes I have to stay with him and make sure he eats. He doesn’t have dirty feathers and his personality has always been a dull, lazy so I don’t know what to do, his feces is normal so I don’t know whats wrong
Edit: he has a lot of urine in his feces
Did you take him to the vet?
@@Bird-Nuggets we’re going to this Tuesday
My budgie is in heaven.. she died now.. She's always with me though 😓😞😇

Sometimes might not help even you notice these symptoms. I have a budgie, she was rubbing her eyes often. I took her to see a vet. The vet said she has sinuses. The vet prescribed the antibiotics but said the medicine would not help. If it gets serious, the vet recommends euthanasia.

my budgie, Oliver , passed away last night.
Thank you for commenting the experience of losing your budgie!
I am sure that any new bird you will own will now be treated properly.
Best of luck!
@@Bird-Nuggets Thank you, I'm working on researching as much as possible and videos like these really help out. So please keep up the good work on educating people!

MY BUDGIE HAS 2 SYMPTOMS HELP
@@mempotato3189 SAME IDK WHAT TO DO
I'm very nervous.

What do I have to do if the tail is bobbing?
Please, I don’t want to loose my bird
Hey, tail bobbing means difficulty breathing, the only thing you can do is to take it to a vet as soon as possible. Do you have the option?
I just got my budgie and he breaths heavily is it because he is nervous around me or is he sick
Hi!
Please monitor your budgie closely but don't make it scared otherwise it will just confuse you.
Remember, any uncertainty needs to be addressed to a vet.
Yes, it could be nervous and breath heavy. Keep an eye on it.
