Well done Ken. She only mocks Christianity, not Judaism, or Islam, so in effect shes mocking our lord and saviour, Jesus.
She mocks young Earth creationism, and rightfully so. She grew up Christian, she does not bash Christians, only young Earth creationists because they misrepresent and lie about science.
She exposed the many lies and frauds of Ken Ham's so-called museum when she toured it. The guy is a grifter who chronically misrepresents science and misleads ignorant and misinformed people.
She's one of the few on RUclips who keep these people in check and call them out for their nonsense.
She never made fun of anybody for believing in a god, and I will apologize to you if you can find any time that she did.
She mocks young Earth creationism. She does not mock Christianity in general or people who believe in God. She grew up Christian and many of her friends are Christian.
This is because she is a scientist and young Earth creationists lie about science all the time and there are organizations who are attempting to pass legislation to have young Earth creationist beliefs taught as fact in public schools.
See, that's the difference. Those other religions you mentioned aren't trying to do that, are they?

I was born in communist Cuba in 1972. I remember being heavily indoctrinated in the belief of the theory of evolution. Since elementary school in the school I attended, the biology teachers would take us to the national museum of science, which had been set up by Russian scientists and they would walk us through all the museum exhibits like every two years and showed us in detail displays of how we humans had evolved from a rock that came from outer space. They had room displays starting with the rock, the pond, the first bacterium, the fish coming out of the water, the animals, the monkey like creatures, the cavemen, and finally us in modern time in the 1980's. The idea of God was ridiculed and laughed at.
I remember I used to believe in aliens also. Well, it didn't take too long for me to deconstruct in my mind all those false teachings. I guess the scripture that reads: *"My sheep know my voice and when they hear my voice they follow me."* It really applies to me.
My mom was a biology scientist and university teacher, who also used to believe in evolution. She worked in the fruit flies project to proof evolution. She got fired and threatened with jail time when she by herself realized that evolution was not only impossible, but it was an excuse to sear our conscience from God's moral laws.

LOL, the fruit flies experiment was in 1910, at Columbia University, and your mother would have had to already be in at least her 20s or 30s to have worked there and then 62 years later she pops up in Cuba and gives birth ( Immaculate conception maybe if she was that old) to you in her 80s or 90's possibly even older
I've been watching her videos for months (almost a year) and I honestly was legitimately praying the other day that Ken would do a video responding to her. She is a mocker and a scorner. Ken, you should invite her personally to the Ark and Museum again and walk her trough like Bill Nye. Id love to see that recorded.

"Inbreeding"? Doesn't she believe that literally every living thing is related according to her worldview? It's such a common complaint and all those who believe in common ancestry-it just never seems to dawn on them.
You don't understand what she means by that. There are laws against marrying people too closely related to you in most states in the US (I think Alabama is excluded from that) because the offspring will have genetic defects. Much like purebread dogs have very poor health. Mutts are generally much healthier because they have a wider diversity of genes.

The Standing for Truth guys routinely debunk and correct gibbons ludicrous arguments. It's best to ignore her for the most part. She is as misguided as she is mistaken on Creation and evolution.

She cited a paper which disproved separate ancestry and thinks it disproves Young earth creationism. What she failed to realise though, is they actually showed that it was statistically unlikely that different species evolved separately to develop similar genetics (when she says "through the methods of common descent" about 21 minutes in). That does not address the YEC position though because we don't believe in common descent and that separate species evolved the similarity. We believe the similarities were there to begin with and it's the divergence that is the result of mutations or loss of variability- I'm not sure if it's the statistical one in this video or not. So a big fail from Erika there.
She also said the supposed heat problem was preclusionary, saying that having one thing which seemingly contradicts our model means the model is not true. Yet the big bang model contradicts every scientific observation ever made with the baryon asymmetry and she doesn't find that to be preclusionary. That's hypocritical standards. She allows contradictions and open questions to suit her own dogmas, but not ours.
If you BELIEVE that nothing created anything at all, you have a lot to learn.
If you think anyone believes that, then it is you who has a lot to learn.

Why do creationists always trot out this claim of nothing CREATING everything, when they're the ones who believe in creation?
Reading these few comments, it is interesting that no one actually refuted what you just said. One even said you didn't understand science. Have scientists (science teaches nothing, scientists do) definitely shown how the universe came into existence? Not that I have read. There are theories but nothing absolutely proven. A couple of years ago I looked up the theories on how the universe could come into existence from nothing. I had a good laugh. Each theory began with something existing which they defined as nothing. But in actuality something existed, although defined as nothing, which allowed the universe to spring into existence (creation). The people holding to these views just assumed something always existed whether it was some unknown form of energy to string theory, etc. But they avoided explaining how the original thing came into existence. Amusing.

Amen! Excellent response to the atheist. So sad to see such grand deception especially among our younger generation. They swallowed the “theory of evolution” hook, line and sinker because it allows them to be the gods of their own lives. It’s really a matter of pride with those who reject God. Romans 1:20 says it perfectly. What the unbelievers don’t yet understand is that our decision to either accept or reject Jesus as our Savior does have eternal consequences because heaven and hell are both very real and literal places and those who reject Jesus automatically condemn themselves into an eternity away from him. The media will never tell you this truth but the God of the Bible will. Many are slipping into an eternity without God because they’re too busy being entertained, distracted and brainwashed by what’s on tv. That’s their god. The deception is truly beyond words just like Jesus warned us in Matthew 24:4-8. Praying every day that more people will get their head out of the sand and call out to Jesus now before it’s eternally too late. ❤️
Except that Erika has spent her life studying this stuff, and just because it doesn't line up with what some old book says is the absurdest reason to reject it.

I was not raised a Christian. My people were atheist and I left it at age 14 after reading Albert Einstein, Dr. Planke, and others but was an agnostic. A few years earlier, elders were sickened of the results of atheism, the revenge killings, drugs, suicides, rapes. Psychologists in the family (20,000 in the longhouse) stated the only way to stop this was find a religion and practice it. You do not have to believe in it, but practice it. As when William Penn landed in Tammany's town (today's Philly) it took a generation but over 80% of us had become Christians. Not always good Christians, but God moves us all as we're able and willing into His life. As then, it was often Messianic Jews who came to teach and love on us. How about your god proclaiming that their "beloved people", the Israelites, could kill all the women, children and men of the conquered enemy nations ... except their pleasing to the eye virgins which they could "take" for them?
Over 99.9% of federal inmates are confessed religious. Less then 0.01% are atheists. Given some 15% of atheists in the US we should see alot more atheists in prison ... yet we don't. If for one thing, atheism does clearly NOT lead to crime, in whatever way.

Thank you Ken Ham for your amazing ministry. I have found that there will be people like that young lady who will devote their time to criticize Christianity. We can reason with them but ultimately, we can only pray that Christ will save them from their deluded and irrational mindset. I, myself, a relative nobody, have been on the end of criticism and abuse due to my Christian faith. Sadly, I have even been on the receiving end of criticism from other Christians! Yes, even within the church body, people disagree and get nasty over menial things. We must pray.

What about evolution.
Ken, several translations of the Bible include the word "Now" to begin Genesis 1:2, suggesting that Genesis 1:1 describes the original creation in its entirety, and v2 picks up with this present generation in which the earth had became void and dark. Such is suggested by the Hebrew word hâyâh (H1961) in v2 which means become or come to pass. It also explains why in v2 God is working with something that already exists where His work is to separate water from land, sky from earth, etc. God is a God of order, and beauty. Yet in v2 it seems like He is beginning with chaos and lifelessness. So, before He said "Let there be light" did He say "Let there be a planet sized glob of mud and darkness" with which He began to work? Perhaps it's easier to explain to the atheist's and naysayers that the earth has existed for millions of years, and this present creation is in fact a recreation, e.g., earth v2.0 or the like. It would account for so much fossilized history, while at the same time not deny Christ. How too does one account for the Nephilim - survivors of an apocalypse?

1. I would take her language and file it under crude rather than blasphemy. It's less about *carrying* the Lord's name in vain (like Muslims or liberal theologians do) and more about saying naughty words. I've come around on this since listening to a Jew.

But what have you for proof that God created the Earth for 6000 years ago? It is only a sort of belief, based on an interpretation which sides with facts that has been researched as a very clear fact which can be measured.

I'm not that familiar with Gutsick Gibbon. All that I've seen from her is a couple interactions she had with Peter B. from Paleologos and New Creation. Those interactions were courteous, and she showed a real respect for Peter because he is honest about the evidence. I'm afraid that this kind of response from AiG is not really going to do any good in showing her the love of Christ or providing a meaningful response to why she rejects creationism. I think, if anything, it pushes her further away and reinforces what she already believes about us--that we really don't have any answers.

I consider myself an agnostic and say I don't know. If someone proves the god theory I would be happy to believe. Christianity,Islam,Hinduism,Sikhism all are classed as religions and they believe in a god or gods so you can't class atheism who don't believe in a god as the same. I disagree with the argument that morals come from religion. I agree with the late Mr Hitchins. Are we really expected to believe that until Moses brought down the ten commandments according to the story people didn't know the likes of murder,stealing etc were wrong. We have brains so we can work out morality for ourselves . I would guess through many factors like how we were brought up also by our parents etc.

Another funny video by Ken Ham. Read some critical scholarship on how interpret ancient texts, how those ancient cultures thought and what ideas they were trying to communicate. The Bible does not teach young earth creationism. I don’t doubt the sincerity of AIG and others, but they’ve got the Bible wrong.

People who claim "my dad invented peanut butter" in kindergarten will grow up to claim their religion made up concepts like marriage or anything else they feel like claiming for themselves. It's a bit of a pattern with certain types of Christians in general; arguing like they're all still in kindergarten, with a wide assortment of "my dad could beat up your dad", "santa won't bring you any presents" and other equally nonsensical arguments.

I'm in my 40s, and I grew up in one of the most violent cities in America in the 90s. Sure, kids have always been rebellious, but fighting teachers in school and schools getting 🔫 wasn't a thing back then. I personally believe that it has gotten worse and worse over time with each generation.
@@Mr_Don1 I do not disagree that there are some aspects of youth in today's society that is not good to see. Trouble is this has always been the case as I indicated earlier. Kids hitting teachers is not a new phenomenon. My father who would be 100 next year was a teacher in UK as well as Australia and this was not unheard of 50 to 60 years ago !
I went to school in the 60s and witnessed the same. (however they were dealt with in a much different way than today!!)
It is much more obvious now due to social media and mobile phones.

She is not taking God's name in vain. In the OT God Himself desecrated the idols of the god's of the nations. She is saying my god regarding the generic God. Further, make sure God's name is not blasphemed because of you. Further, evolutionist also contend that the word's population could not have grown without inbreeding. Further, evolution is a theory, it is not an absolute. What is her authority of it being absolute. She does not seem to even know her own 'discipline'. The only thing to say about this is how the disciples of the religion of evolution they do not educate their disciples well enough.....

The Bible does not address mankinds origins. Genesis is allegory for the creation of covenental Israel.
If that's true, where does creation enter into the narrative of God's word? I would think the Creator would explain that in His word.
