It also requires greater force/effort to roll over and turn. Today, skiers with wide skis just slush around on the slopes. I ski in "the West" and I would never exceed 82'ish. One does NOT need wide skis for powder. And you're skiing on hardpack 95% plus of the time anyway.
Now I'm retired all-being-well I'm going back to skiing next season [2024], and with luck after 3 or 4 week long holidays I'll be able to ski improving intermediately. For the 2025 season I'll be buying my first set of ski's to progress with, and Elan will probably be on my short list.
I've never heard of anyone snubbing Elan like the guy in the video says. First of all, they're the ones who invented parabolic skis. They make some of the best skis out there. Plus, Glen Plake promotes and designs for them. End of story.
The Wingman replaces the Amphibio of which I owned many pairs. They were and are great skis. The Wingman is my new ride. I think I will enjoy them. Great review and a great ski tester. The real deal.

FYI, titanal alloy has no titanium. It is an aluminum alloy with zinc,, magnesium, copper, and zirconium, made by AMAG Austria Metall AG.
