I'm a follower of her songs, She was my idol since my younger days and I almost cried when her dying news was read out in the news. To this day I'm still keeping her LP black vinyl record although my record player has broken down.
As a western man, I loved first the melodies of the songs. Next, Teresa's delivery of a song is so expressive. Some of the orchestrations could be better. The miking could have used better quality mikes to capture more of her expressive nuances. Though English subtitles of her songs are few, I really appreciate it when someone translates her words. When you go to Thailand, many cabaret shows include some Teresa Teng songs. The performers do a beautiful job, very tasteful and a highlight of their shows. The audience appreciates it. Teresa's songs need to be performed today, or in the future they will be forgotten. Teresa was a dedicated professional, always working on perfecting her craft. She worked hard in the studio. She loved to perform live in front of her fans. I wish she could have had better medical attention, so she did not have to suffer so much from breathing problems. Thank you, Teresa, for your body of work we still are able to enjoy.
