The guys that cut our land this winter ran a 6W Ergo, an 8W Ergo and a Cat 501HD. I could've watched them all day. Truth is I actually did. 😄
The mill didn't want longer stuff?

We cut almost everything 8 foot. Occasionally 10, 12, and 16 but usually our markets are looking for 8 foot wood.

We just got a ergo with h8 and the head seems sluggish. Wonder what what your settings are. Looks like yours has some snap to it.

New machine or used? Do you know what size feed motors?

You can get more speed and power to the harvesterhead by changing settings from service. But you need a code to do that. And also a guy who knows what to do. Contact your local Ponsse-trainer.

      @@ponsseguy h7 feed rollers.

@@nitro830fast8 with H7 motors it should be faster than ours. We've got the H8 motors and they feel dead compared to the H7. 315-320 litres a minute should get you a solid 5 meters/second feed speed. Photo tach the roll motors, 250-255 rpm should give you that feed speed.
