    I was going to comment on the video, which is great, but first... Major props to @Andrej Rajh below for providing important info and perspective about protecting the trees and national parks. I'm sure many are not aware and in challenging mooring situations, a lot of people might not stop to think about it. (Also, Oliver gets a shout out for correctly using - and spelling - the word "sanctimoniousness." Well done.)
    Personally, I have a degree of sympathy for the man boat crowd: I figure their opportunities for this kind of vacation are limited and they're probably having to spend a big percentage of their earnings on it. I could see how the person organizing the charter would end up not being selective about sailing qualifications. All that said, they do present a danger to themselves and others: that is impossible to deny. I appreciate Sea Bee's comment about the universal value of respect: that's a two-way street, but if any of the "drivers" on the street are inept or impaired it makes respecting them a lot more difficult.
    Lots of beautiful photography in your videos. Good eye and a steady hand. I can only imagine how much time these videos must take to produce. Still, we all look forward to the next one - whenever you have time to get to it. Fair winds, good people.

      Thank you @conroyvox for your assessment. Personally, I don’t have any problems with any vessel (man boat or not) unless they exhibit poor seamanship skills. We do learn great deal from folks leaving comments so we are grateful to all taking the time.

      Let me correct you here, German workers that work 5 day weeks with permanent employment are entitled to at least 20 days of paid vacation. More than 30 vacation days are also common, and the 20 or 30 days are workdays. Weekends (sat-sun) and national holidays are not included in the vacation days, the hourly pay is pretty good in Germany so they don't have to spend a big percentage of their earnings on a vacation. I been growing up on the water here in Sweden and a lot of German boaters on vacation is really obnoxious, they are not very popular in Sweden.

    What a gorgeous series of videos you've produced! But, I guessed that you are sailors from the start and clearly- that isn't true. Did you both learn later in life (say, after college?) I only ask because there are a few clues that present themselves over time. I love the Elan Impressions 45 and am so glad that it was both your target & what you purchased- a beautiful boat & yours is exceptional. I genuinely LOVE the rare 2 cabin version & the extra H2O tank, etc.. all good additions! Finally, other than being on anchor, you seem to be comfortable with the boat, yet another bonus.
    But, 1 video a month is a little unusual & now it's been 5 months since your last addition, bummer! I hope that all is swell, and that you have fair breezes & sunny days!

      Thank you for reaching out. We learned sailing later in life about 12 years ago- I am now 45. You are going to love the next video we are in the process of editing. It is about our boat - we are very happy with our choice.

    Hi. I am coming from Slovenia and I am sailing in Croatia whole my life and you are wrong, it is alowed to park in the tunel, I also oft park in the tunel to spent the night so. If someone want to swim in the tunel it is enough place to do that. And obviously, like every other tourist, you don't know what kind of mentality is on Balkan. If you think someone is going to come, cause he parked there?
    I was looking at you vids because I love Slovenian and Croatian coast, because I groow up on the Adria sea. But you don't want to know what Croatian marineros and other who are in the Nautical bussjnes think of “sailors“ from the “west“, and, or Germans and Austrians. It is better that you don't understand what they are speaking.
    And another thing. I f you tie a boat on the coast you never tie it to a 100 or more year old pine tree man, because you are destroying the tree that was there way before you were. If a ranger saw that he would call Kapetanija and you would be paying as smart you are. You need to use rocks for that not a 🌴. And you have done that in a National park. That is not alowed.
    If you want to be smart, then you have to start with your self.
    And something else. Adria 20 years ago, was like that, like in the corona time. You had luck that you saw that, what I mean is, it is so crowded in las 10 years, that we, locals are sailing in march, april and october, november because of bunch of screaming charter tourists, who think they can throw everything in the sea, cause they are leaving in 1 week. Yes it is true, but we stay and we have to look at al this s***** everyday ...

    • @SeaBeeSailing
      @SeaBeeSailing  2 года назад +2

      First of all, thank you for taking the time to write us in detail. We appreciate the feedback, more so the ones from locals. You have every right to be protective of what is yours and educate visitors like us
      so the precious nature of yours can be savored for more generations. We don't thrive on being smart but we thrive on respect. More respect to the trees and hopefully little attempt to respect each other.

    very nice video! thanks for sharing!! is that necessary to have ICC or other certificates to sail if the flag is not EU?

    • @SeaBeeSailing
      @SeaBeeSailing  2 года назад +2

      Only time I was asked to present ICC certification was when we first insured our boat and that was the insurance company who asked for it. If you plan to charter in HR, you will be asked to present some sort of proficiency (I am sure ICC will suffice). So far we were not asked by any official to present any kind of certificate - including when we purchased the cruising tax.
