Took my son to this race, his first nascar race ever, he was 6 at the time. I pointed out these two and told him to keep an eye on them because they were the leaders at this time and they were racing for a win, my little buddies eyes were wide open and glued to them all the way to the finish. He couldnt stop talking about that day and making car noises. 😆 It was a great day all around, and this probably made a memorable moment woth me and him he will never forget.
Interesting that in the last 4 years (3 when this race was in the spring until it moved to Kentucky) A Busch Brother won the event. Kyle in 2008, then Kurt 2009, 2010, (the last "spring" Atlanta race until this event was moved to July this year, after a decade in Kentucky,) and Kurt again in 2021.
I agree. very boring finish. Nascar has a terrible product with the new cars. the cars are going significantly slower around the circuit compared to previous cars. In 2009 the cars were going 195+ mph into the corners and off the throttle for almost the entire turn 1 & turn 3. Now they're literally going wide open around the place and going 20 MPH slower. the new gen fans want close tight pack racing, so NASCAR keeps neutering the cars. NASCAR is destroying itself.
Truex is one of my favorite drivers, but I have to give Kurt Busch kudos on this win. He did really good out there! Truex brings up the top 3 with a 3rd Place Finish. I'm hoping for more wins out of Martin Truex, Jr. The man's still got plenty of gas left in the ol' tank!
Kurt you are the better driver than brother Kyle. Team up with Penske Racing, for next 2 years, and go out a champion, both Kurt and Penske, come out on top.23xi, is a waste of Kurt’s time, the fact team doesn’t replace Bubba says, leave that team alone. Trackhouse a good team growing, but Kurt spending his wheels in mud there, they will only get him 1 maybe 2 wins. Penske doesn’t have a driver ready to dominate driving The 2 Car, Kurt you the man for that car.
Not a fan of lapped cars getting involved, but it's nothing illegal. I respect Chastain for at least coming out and admitting what he did instead of making excuses. However, hopefully Chastain is ready to get raced differently now. Comes with the territory. On a side note I found Kurt's interview interesting when he said he had the better car. Which obviously wasn't the case.
Part of the track came up during the race. It needed a repave. Although I don't really agree with the reconfiguration, at some point the surface needed to get repaved.
Kyle Busch he’s my best driver number 18 I was proud when he was up front in the lead but his brother Kurt too the lead away from his brother Kyle :( 😥😥😥he lost to his brother Kurt he won
you didn't watch the race??? He caught and passed kyle with 24 to go (with chastain's help), and kyle stalked him down with 7 to go and nearly pulled off the pass...they stayed within a 3 tenths of each other until the last two laps when the tires just fell off kyle's car
@@JayTeeKay I’m a die hard Kyle Busch fan. I knew that Bud. I’m just saying this is clickbait lol I knew kyle ran out of car. “Wild finish” is last 2 laps and that just wasn’t the case
@@ftghb yes I watched it. “Wild finish” would of been if Kyles car didn’t fall off. I’m a rowdy fan but the ending wasn’t wild considering how good the racing was up till the end.
Nothing "wild" about that finish. Thanks for the "click bait" NASCAR. If that's as exciting as it gets, I'll stick with F1, IMSA, and local go cart racing!!
What is your favorite Kurt Busch victory?
Daytona 500, Bristol Night 2018, Kentucky 2019, and this one.

Been a Kurt fan since early 2000’s. He is still on top at age 42!
Same! After Kyle Petty retires, Kurts been my guy ever since! Such a talented driver.
I been kurth bush fan since 2017😳

These two brothers have put on a few classic battles through the years
Some of the most tense laps I’ve felt at the end of this race! The Shake and Bake will be another classic Atlanta moment!
Kurts definitely getting left in Atlanta now hope he has a ride home
He owns a Learjet so, there's that.
Kurt Busch = GOAT
Proud dad busch👏👏
The last time Kurt beat his brother was back in 2019at Kentucky

Kurt Busch and Kyle Busch have 1 and 2 finishes at Sonoma 2015, Bristol 2019, Kentucky 2019 and Atlanta 2021
Wild Finish ?? Where ?
I’m happy he finally won with that paint scheme I really like it
"Wild Finish"
Such a great send off for Chip Ganassi in NASCAR. Can't wait to see what Kurt does with 23XI and Bubba in the 2022 season!
Kurt needed that win last year of his contract.
Kurt is the true 🐐of NASCAR
So underrated as a driver
Kyle:I am gonna win today
Kurt:Hold my monster
Didn't see the wild finish. Looked very normal at best.
Wild finish ? Not even close. What was wild about it ???

I agree. Nascar is killing itself and buying into this cancel culture world. The Bush brothers running 1 - 2....yawn.
Awesome finish but man Truex was flying after those pit stops

Unfortunately Austin Cindric is most likely going to the 2. Matty D either stays with Wood Bro’s, or long shot, the 2.

Bests
Only Atlanta could produce some ok racing with the package. Now it's being repaved and won't be decent until 2035 at the earliest.

I am not against the repave, the weepers are out of control now. The reconfig is not required. Just another attempt to get pack racing.
