- Bruce Leonard, the Oneida County father convicted in connection with the beatings of his two teenage sons - beating one of them to death - was released from state prison today.
In 2015 in the small town of Chadwick’s near New Hartford in Oneida County, Bruce Leonard, his wife Deborah, and several others were arrested for the beatings of Bruce and Deborah’s two teenage sons - Christopher (17-year-old at the time) and Lucas (19-years-old) inside the 'Word of Life Church.'

He tortured and murdered his son-one died. He was sentenced to 10 yrs, which is ridiculous, and serves only 7!! why? The author being interviewed-maybe got too close to the murderer? But she says on the face of it it was horrible-what is she talking about?-on the fact of it, it was torture and murder of his own boy. Now the murderer feels remorse and is depressed all the time, how sad. What does that mean we shoudlfeel sorry for HIM??
