One reason why I gave up dancing/flag at my high school I was not willing to wear wigs or ponytails when my hair was already long ! But these girls are beautiful do
The Southern A&M College "Southern Belles" were majorettes/twirlers... The "Southern Belles" were a different auxiliary, pre the forming and founding of the The Southern University and A&M College "Fabulous Dancing Dolls", 1969 ... The Dancing Dolls also twirled batons, on special features only, seasons 1969-70
Thanks so much for the information. I am currently a baton twirling teacher as well as an SU alumni. Unfortunately when I attended Southern, majorettes/twirlers were long gone. I was crushed because I had such a passion for baton twirling.
Thank You, Kay Chanelll for preserving this incredible peace of history and sharing it with us all. Their name, “Fabulous Dancing Dolls”... well, there could not have been a better choice. Absolutely Amazing. Again Thanks, for the historic inspiration 🎥👏🏽
Rahloh McDonogh She's great she went on to dance on Broadway shows. Traci moved to Houston and got married around 10 years ago; and opened her own dance studio teaching all ages. She is definitely the Rolls Royce of Dancing Dolls.
Wow, i didn’t notice so many people would watch my video 😍. I highly appreciate it. I didn’t think nothing of it ! For more videos and more tips. Please make sure to like and subscribe. Please get me to 1k subscribers thanks 💜
Ms. Kae....I am at once in Awe and truly Humbled by this documentary of The Fabulous Dancing Dolls. I'm a bit late to the Dance having only Discovered them this Season. I was able to catch the Reunion as posted by Dr. Price but your offering has further enlightened me to this RICH LEGACY. Thank You!
It just popped up on my screen when it said I subscribed to you. So I clicked on it to look because I didn't subscribe! My babies must have pushed it by mistake. Also, all you had to say is that the video was posted 2 years ago and that would have been the answer to my question. #attitudeisnotcalledfor
Is it just me have anybody notice how bad da dancing be looking after they leave da school like frfr and it dont take long they start looking really bad 5 years later like frfr
Beautiful sentimental journey. Back when the ladies danced like ladies. Now, however beautiful they are, today's dancers perform like strippers and some of their moves are just vulgar. smh
Perhaps I'm wrong but I always viewed Louisiana, especially NO and Southern as a place where they that take pride in colorism. Judging off the pictures light skin is the standard of beauty for the dancing dolls. Nonetheless a strong dancing team.
I did not know they had such a long history.
Respect for grace and discipline at this school.
I need some of these old uniforms to come back now
baby they really went into the archives for these!!!!! I'm here for every single last photo!!! yassssss
The music fits so perfectly with the history!!! ❤ But can dancers go back to these times. Natural hair, amd dance!!!
I know right. Love the Big hair.
ChasSanders I like them w/the natural hair or not myself, lol:) Their versatility really adds to their flair for me;)

Dolls feel too hip hop now. Too me Kayla's 2 year run was the last time the dolls seemed classic. We'll see what the future holds.
Wow...most of the the dancers are light skin 95%..wtf...😋😋😋😋

Majority of them are brown and dark skin now, so what’s the point?
