I'll vouch for the crowd. I was standing opposite the hotseat a little way up the hill last year when it all kicked off. The place was banging. It was absolutely nuts. Heading back again this weekend and looking forward to it. Though with the horrible weather wev'e had in the French alps for the last 2 months, no guarantees as to conditions.
Loic finally got his first this year, Amaury has won 3 times there. Pretty sure Minnaar has won 7 times, hes been racing it since the first one in 2002 (obviously hes not French but still impressive).
in fact in france it’s by far the best mood around a world cup, les gets 2022 will stay forever the best time of my live. Honestly it’s not just a good experience, it must be in your to do list
Amaury pierron is on fire right now. He should have a pretty dang good shot at winning. Or loic Bruni, but since I’m American I’m going for dak, Norton. Take one home for us dak.
Also in France the kids are able to start racing DH around 5-7 years old, so racing discipline is instilled early on. In BC, and Québec for example kids can’t start racing DH until they’re 13-15 years old. So by the time the kids in France are 13-15 they’re already on the verge of being pros. Whereas in Canada the kids of the same age group are just starting to race for the first time.
Meanwhile a few kilometers away, we have Morzine that is a british colony which is racist against the local ethnicity ( Savoisien ). We had so many issues because we were speaking french there.
Honestly i feel like these are not the real reasons why the french are that good. The simple reason is: They have a great infastructure to push young talent! This is very unique. In Germany young DH riders pretty much get fucked they had to pay for their own jersey at world champs. I am pretty sure the frenchies handle that differently
just perpetuating the tradition that (I saw) starting with Nicolas Vouilloz, and the insane Anne-Caroline Chausson. A girl who was so fast, she was sometimes in the top 10 of men. 👍
Cycling (doesnt't matter the discipline) in France, is religion. I love my Nucks when they race but, nobody races like the Frenchies. They are cycling.
Just wanted to say that I liked the unobtrusive sponsorship in this video. It’s there, but not in your face. Keep it up PB.
Hah, I didn’t even notice it

Out of curiosity, would like to see stats of the french riders performance in Fort Williams.

Would love to see Myriam get gold in les gets!

It’s controversial to race at 5-7 years old, as it brings the worst up in parents, and the pressure on the kids can be overwhelming…. ?🤷♂️

That freakey in France 🤯
racist or just unable to speak french
@Christina and the PB crew - will you guys be around this weekend ? Need to get a Chapetta signature on my lid.

what's going on with daprela? left two big teams within a few months just before start of season with little to no explanation
He needs to be cleared of the rumours about him, it’s not right and cringey, to watch him race private, and no one talks about him.
Rumours about him concerning un appropriate behaviour towards, female riders🤷♂️
Note rumours…… nothing official, just silence 🤷♂️

🇫🇷 🥳
Fort William is in Scotland 🏴
They train harder and are more competitive. So they have extremely high standards.

Eehh Christina is the worst host. Bring back Cartho
Yes this. Did anyone notice how many bots there are in the comments praising diversity? this is sick
Cathro is cool, but that doesn’t say anything about Christina. She does a perfectly fine job.
Cathie is still in here. How is Christina bad?! Because she’s a woman?!
Why oh why is this girl still presenting? Shes the reason I no longer subscribe to pink bike.
