Hello I just acquired one of these from ebay, it is in good cosmetic condition but I'm not getting any sound, it's very low, meters and lights are working, any idea why the sound isn't coming through, any suggestions, before I actually open it up. Thanks
Hard to explain but try sticking your finger in and holding the recording bar tab up with your finger and then hitting the record button and then release and repeat several times to actuate the recording bar switch and see if he gets sound after doing so if not you need to clean the recording boss right by taking the whole thing apart and you may need to clean other things like your input switches and pretty much everything else and there could be more than just that good night
On the circuit board next to the motor - one of those adjustable var-resistors that you can stick a screwdriver in to it I think and or also follow the motor power wires to see here they go and the look for a variable pots next to it to control the speed ok?

well that teeny tiny little *idler tire* is the one that rotates the most and wears out the fastest and is the most difficult part to find and then tedious to install. Main flywheels flat best 130mm then rotates the teeny tiny 2 by 4 mm tire that rotates the one inch tire that rotates the spindle for playback only and the capstan tiny pulley also rotates the auto-stop mechanism. so a new flat belt and then the little tire, then the autostop belt and the counter belt the one inch idler tire and then the rew & ff tire on the backside and that is all there are to replace or make certain that they are all functioning porperly - yah I cant spelt.
You can add Bluetooth to anything, I personally have not added Bluetooth to anything except via a ion cassette adapter Bluetooth. Wiring in a Bluetooth circuit board to any boombox is something I have not done before I'm sure I could do it but I need to know which module and how to power it with what voltage based upon which boombox I'm installing it in all these variables. Should the boombox have it I would use the beat cut switch as a way to turn the Bluetooth on and off.
beautiful tape
I had one of these in the 80's. Very loud . Kind of wish the cassette buttons were smoother to operate.

Can someone tell me the type of the playback head? I need to change mine but it has the initials erased
this you will need to get the service manual for to fing the part number from it and then searhc for that part and or a a aka of it. good luck.
That's a really nice model, love the stereo logos on the grills, where do u get the belts from. Great restoration
Ebay or the UK or Local at Atlas Electronics in Dallas TX for the flat belts.

How can i get the main capstain out
You got to take it all apart and then there's two screws on the back side of the deck hard to explain but once you get it all apart you'll understand
How much did it sold 4?
Not sold yet. $675.00 USD is what I am asking for it.
I have a problem with my 9090 and it doesn’t always play cassettes
