I would argue that’s exactly the most important part! When films were first created so many years ago, they weren’t corporate blockbusters with millions of dollars backing the film. They were small, confined artistic stories told on a small budget, usually making no money in the long run. It was about the vision to tell a story first and foremost
Warner bros fucked him over hard and chose defend one of the most vile pieces of shit in Hollywood to bury this movie. Regardless of how you feel about the merit of Snyder's work, regardless of how irritating the fans and cultists can be, letting this movie be released was unambiguously the right thing to do.
Well that's something you can always say about him. He's a better version of Micheal Bay. Amazing visual director. Likes making women look good. Just needs work on character. Only difference is MB doesn't try and Zach I feel does.
I liked it . I wasn’t bored for 4 hours. And every punch feels ‘Super’. And the joker scene is a human broken Batman that lost entirely and is just trying to survive
Me watching this: Wow, it actually seems pretty interesting-maybe I'll check it out Batman drops the f-bomb and tells Joker he's going to kill him: Never mind, I'm out
Dude. You did it for the money. As simple as that. Everyone is. If you were truly sorry, delete the Batman does not kill video, but come on, don't sermon all of youtube.
Zach's cinematography feels like he seamlessly pieced together hundreds of epic comic panals into one movie and that is respectable. Marvel makes more faithful movies thematically, but Zach makes movies that actually look like comic books truly brought to life
@@Flome810 except, they are. Look straight ahead, focussing on one point. Now notice your peripheral vision without averting your eyes. Now make the “director hands” with both your thumbs and index fingers and put them right at the edges of your view without moving your eyes - so, one hand in the top left and one in the bottom right at the point where they are furthest without dropping out of view. Then notice the shape you’ve drawn. That shit is a square 🤣
@@Flome810 well superheroes are vertical figures. They stand proudly and tends not to back down. Emphasizing the verticalness of the their figure, snyder chose a square frame. But it doesnt mean the sides are cropped. In fact, you could easily make the film widescreen by cropping to top and bottom without losing anything. Becayse zack designed it that way. And in fact the whedon cut used that technique to launch his version
“He’s just a sweetheart who wants to get home” *throws several horses* Funniest part of the video. Honestly I agree though, didn’t think I’d be feeling sympathy for steppenwolf.
Weirdly, that was my strongest after-thought as the movie ended and everything faded. All that was left behind was a strange sense of unease at how Steppenwolf was slaughtered and discarded in seconds, after having hustled all through the movie. :l
I thought something got better with his character. Then its just get worse, didnt care at all even he's bombarded by supes aquaman and WW. Its the movie about JL anyway, doesnt really matter to me.
@@simonbright2975 I felt the exact same way. His story is pretty tragic and depressing. He gets constantly bullied, taunted, and insulted by his fellow New Gods. All he wants to do is please Darkseid, and go home. And how does his story end? With his head getting crushed by the very person he only wanted to please, as the life in his eyes slowly fades away. "He will be pleased. He will see my worth again." "Please, we have families!" "Then you have weakness."
@@The_Boys_Archive Yeah. I think it was kind of icky. Maybe they'll explain it if they ever make a sequel but for now, his character still felt like it was made for the sole purpose of being a gigantic plot device.
I disagree with his opinion. But I absolutely RESPECT his honesty. Everybody should have the right to express their thoughts on a movie. Movies are subjective, just like any other form of art.

I don’t love Snyder’s Batman, but I can just enjoy him as a badass Batman. I stand behind you that he doesn’t kill, I just view it as a different universe.
people are too hung up that its not "their batman". It doesnt have to be. We have had 6 different iterations, each one very different. Each one refreshing. Even marvel reinvented characters like Thor. Thor 3 was really fun, but its "not my thor". Is it good? yes. Is it accurate. No. Just like Zachs batman/superman are controversial, but he executed his controversial vision perfectly
This the best take I've seen on the Snyder Cut. I was also never going to like this movie, but the fact that he got to finish his vision with such passion deserves all the respect in the world. Great video, man.

Didn't liked it as much as I thought I would. The characters build up of flash Cyborg and Aquaman took too much place in the movie. At the 2nd and 3rd hour I was just wondering where's the action. Its like the story was moving at turtle speed. Didn't liked batman changing his personality, Martian Manhunter introduction. Oh and Jesus batman cowl in the kryptonian ship is just a NO. I thought it was a whedon cut. Nightmare scene was one of the best things of this movie. Flash was great too. Cyborg was great in many ways but in a way leaving flash's story on the side just doesn't make sense to me. Wonder woman was great she did a lot. But the team up work wasn't good. I don't like the recent mcu but hell their team up work is much better. Snyder is better at solo movies then movies with several heroes. I'd rather watch bvs. I know it's contradictory but snyder was able to tell 2 stories in 3 hours while in JL, he wasmaking 4 stories in 4 hours while the plot should be centered not put apart. *THAT'S WHY YOU MAKE SOLO MOVIES* The dialogue isn't great some of them are cringe. And I rarely do. Too much slow mo and song choices are just a NO. I prefer the heroes theme. The only theme I can clearly remember is WW.
@@benedicto2031 lol Im not even an mcu fan but the dialogue could have been improved. Flash is cringe. I like Avengers but I im a Dc fan for life. It doesn't mean Avengers is better it just mean that Avengers was better built. At least the comedy goes with the universe. That's why I prefer Bvs over JL. Bvs is dark and shows the reality of the dc universe. Oh well that's just my opinion. Respect it, discuss it, or rage in npc scream.
Can we talk about how neglected green lantern has been? My boy had one bad movie and now he is never to be seen apart from a tiny reference in a 4 hour movie.
WB took out John Stewart, even in the damn Snyder cut, in place for Martian Manhunter. Cool (for me, personally), but put some shame above their heads for this move

I really enjoyed the Snyder cut. I’m the kind of person who likes Snyder’s style of film making. I’d rather have a niche film only a minority of people enjoy then a huge “people pleaser” film made for everyone.
@@c3phCD was it a comment I made on the Spider-Man 2 theme song about referring to Tom Holland, Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire as Spider-Boy, Spider-Teen and Spider-Man?
This version of Steppenwolf is probs my favorite character in the movie. Guy's just trying to redeem himself and be the cool uncle! The problem is that he's trying to be Darkseid's cool uncle, and his redemption consists in enslaving everything to Darkseid. But the intention is there!
“Faith, Alfred. Faith.” I love Batfleck’s character arc from Batman vs Superman to Justice League. In BvS, he was broken, hateful, and alone. But, Superman’s sacrifice showed him that there’s still good in the world. In Justice League, he’s rejuvenated and enjoys the company of others. He believes in the team, the people around him, he cares for all of them. The final scene with Bruce standing outside, smiling and looking at the sunset, that was brilliant. He knew his parents were proud of him, and he finally found peace.
I feel like he was written very inconsistent. I’m BvS Bruce us very secretive and strong but in ZSJL Batman gets beaten up by everyone and reveals himslef to everyone
@@aaronm4841 he was beaten up by aliens and he said it himself. "Alfred for once I am acting strictly on faith." That's not inconstancy... that's growth. You see it at the end of BvS when he makes the "men are still good" speech

He's the absolute inverse of Joss Whedon. Whedon can make a "conventionally good" movie or show, do things formulaic but he's ultimately a piece of animal shit. Snyder makes movies that are genuinely baffling most of the time in every way, but he's a pretty cool dude and the cost obviously LOVED working with him.

After seeing the REAL Justice League, I'd go as far as to say that I want to see more Batfleck. I want to see more of the tourtured soul his aging Batman has become, and I want to see his dynamic with the Joker. It actually has me hopeful for the future of DC films. Imagine James Gunn and David F. Sandberg teaming up with Zack Snyder for a Justice League sequel. Wishful thinking, I know, but there's a much better chance of that coming to be than there was before this cut of the film.
@@If_Only_I_Knew_Why I love the idea of Ben Affleck’s Batman. I just feel like he suffered due to BvS script, the idea of a Batman that maybe has broken mentally and gone off the rails but eventually comes back to his senses could be cool. I’d wanna see how dark that journey could get before he redeems himself though. The sudden change from I wanna kill Superman to “your mother’s name is Martha” now I wanna be your friend is just pulled off poor in that movie, and I’ll never like it.
@@Harvester88 I agree with that completely. After I watched the Snyder Cut I immediately went back to rewatch BVS (ultimate cut). While there's a few things I don't like about the movie, I feel like understand them a little better. Batman actually killing people was my biggest gripe with the movie, but I shouldn't have ignored what Lex said earlier in the film about Superman "bending the rules to save Lois." Batman bent HIS rules to save Martha... Also, the sheer amount of setup for JL is astounding and just makes it more infuriating that it was ALL scrapped for the Josstice League...

@Bing Boom Pow bro I think you're mad at the writing and direction. Ben Affleck and grumpy older batman was great to me. Idk what to tell you. Jared Leto being bad is fair, then again that more of a suicide squad problem then a Zack problem.
I never felt your Snyder rant in the ‘Batman Does Not Kill’ video to be childish and petty. I mean, sure, it played up the humor and the fanboy angle, but it was not unfounded criticism that some others resort to.
I still think that this video for me, had more value, it talks about some things that I think could use some spreading around, the understanding that not everyone has to agree with you.
I'll be honest I'm not a huge fan of Snyder's work, but I am in love with the visual style of this movie. Every one of his shots is like a painting that you could put up on a wall.
so in a way, given his visual style is his work...you actually like his work. What you dont like is this take of the story. Which was co written by others and meddled by studios
12:32 disagree with this point. According to the lore the Black suit is a healing suit. And having that he basically was just revived it'd make sense that he'd wear the one that's better for recovery. I still like alot of the points in this video but this is just a small thing.
@@MugdhaMahdiShams there's no way it would've been explicitly stated since the studio didn't want the suit in the first place. The black suit was created by color correcting the normal one. It's only hinted at when he absorbs sun energy in it
They couldve just kept the iconic suit and the movie wouldn't change one bit. If you're changing the suit without any explanation as to why, then it does seem pointless.
I have to say that I agreed with you. As much as I wanted to be ready to hate your opinion, I agree with you. It wasn’t made for you but it serves the same artistic expression that we both can get behind. It is as you said, “It is 100% Zack Snyder.”

Tbf I used to HATE homecoming and FFH. Even though I still think FFH is filled with plotholes I accept the version of Tom's spidey now. Just wish he gets better writers.
I think he (and honestly, I too) is never gonna get past the fact that ultimately, both Homecoming and FFH feel a lot like products and entertainment more than the vision of a real person behind the cameras. From I've seen on his videos, Alex in particular is all for movies and cinema being a form of expression for artists, and that's something that Disney's Spider-Man movies have always lacked and will probably always lack: a soul. In this video he basically said it: he might not like Snyder's version of the characters, but at the end of the day is SNYDER'S. Who is Iron-Boy Jr. version of? Certainly not Jon Watts, Kevin Feige? Maybe, but I don't think so; people like to applaud to Feige and everything for doing a successful cinematic universe and I agree, he did an amazing job with that, but ultimately he still responds to the suits on Disney and everything he does is gonna be aimed at pleasing them. Zack Snyder, in the other hand, had little to no interference (until JL, of course) and you can see that both his movies and the interpretation of the characters in them are HIS, and I think, again, from what I've seen from Alex, that that's why he will have a hard time accepting MCU's Spider-Man. He is a character that is not only far from his comic book self (if he wasn't he could probably like him at least), but also written by a corporation, not a person, and he feels as such.
@@theankh2872 I don't know how to feel about Far From Home but Homecoming was a great movie. It felt like a teenage coming of age drama in the skin of a superhero flick. A lot of good movies have done this genre bending/mixing thing - TDK trilogy, Logan, etc. The most memorable scene to me is when Liz's father opens the door and Peter beholds the Vulture. There's that moment of 0.0 and a creeping tension permeates, lingering till the end of the car scene - it then immediately translates into another tonal shift as a shell-shocked Peter numbly abandons Liz in pursuit of her father, only to end up buried under tons of rock, at the peak of his emotional turmoil, as if the world's weight was crushing him spiritually and physically. Jesus fuck is that such a brilliant bit of cinema. So - idk if that's comic book accurate, but I loved it as a movie-goer's experience. It had character and depth, and I feel that there were real people behind creating it, rather than a corporation.
Honestly as bad or good the story was, you can't tell me that this movie didn't have just awesome cinematography. The shots at the end with flash honestly looked fucking beautiful

The warehouse scene in BvS is one of the greatest action scenes in super hero movies to date, you don't get that with the no killing batman. Besides the “looking cool” side, the point of Superman’s Black Suit is to absorb more Sunlight than the regular red & blue suit. That’s why he immediately flies to the Sun after putting it on
It would've been nice if they explained this in the movie, like they had time for Darkseids backstory and Lois Lane but couldn't even spare a few seconds to explain why Superman wears the black suit now?
@@maldon3659 they couldn't explain it because WB didn't want superman to dawn the black suit ever so that scene couldn't be shot cause WB would shot it down. Tbh, I wouldn't call it biggest opportunity in film history. HBO max still has less than 100 million subscribers at the moment (only around 40 million at the start of this year). It is hard to say that the amount viewers of Snyder Cut will even match the amount for the theatrical version, especially so when you consider the international markets (many Asian countries are filled to the brim with their own streaming services). I saw the Snydercut, and I didn't like it, but it was certainly better than the theatrical version. Many of Snyder's polarizing style is certainly still there and will remain polarizing to the general audience. WB has already tasted some success with their non-Snyder styled films in Aquaman and the new Joker film, and based off of their upcoming slate of films, I don't think that WB is leaning towards the restoration of the SnyderVerse. Affleck has also departed and Pattison is already under contract to play Batman in the upcoming solo flick, and based off of WB's cartoon history (They absolutely hate having two different versions of the same character at a concurrent time). Cavill's status is also up in the air.
I have a defense for Batman threatening Joker "I will FUCKING kill you": look at the setting. It's the post-apocalyptic Knightmare future, where Darkseid has taken over the Earth and destroyed human civilization. This is a Batman whose morals are pretty much thrown out the window for the sake of making sure he and his fellow survivors get Flash to successfully time travel into the past to change the future.
The way I took it, he was "merely" trying to mentally torture / scare Joker in that scene, because he is really, really pissed at him. Joker calls him out on that one. And I believe Joker nailed it there. He knows Batman will never do that. That's why he keeps taunting him.
@@bruhman1094 He still kills all the way through bvs and didn’t stop killing even after his supposed ark was finished (which being the Martha moment) and he continued to use guns in the justice league and didn’t fight crime so he didn’t get to kill anyone human but if he did he still was never implied that he would stop killing (no the Martha moment isn’t implying that at all as he literally commits homicide the scene directly afterwards just in case u were thinking that) and he also kills parademons but parademons is debatable if that’s considered breaking his role so he technically does still kill because he’s never been given a actual reason to stop or said himself or at least hinted he would 🤣 also we got no clue if he killed before bvs so u can’t really make that statement 🤣 Sorry if this came off as if I’m getting mad or something I’m genuinely not 🤣
@@JoshuaR9763 in justice league the scene where batman is standing on top of the bat tank if you look closely there are some mutant gang members tied and beaten up on the bottom left corner and that leads us that he stopped killing and btw his arc in bvs ended after superman died then he realised what he has done and that his ways were wrong. you may ask why did he kill the criminals that were in the warehouse fight scene he killed them because he was trying to stop a boy getting his mother killed so he saw the reflection in superman that his mother (martha) is like Clark's mother (also martha) so he did everything he can to prevent a boy getting his martha taken away from him. Obviously there is in every single thing in existence someone who likes that thing and see it great even perfect. The problem is that that thing will in a vaccume and in general be always associated to the majority view. In the end it depends on your backgrounds and ideas. Mostly backgrounds because they shape how we viewed heroes and they will subconsciously make us reject when something that should represent our ideas represent something different (which is litterely summerizing every video that criticize anything in phylosophical terms) that is why people who saw Superman and batman through snyder movies have way more chance of liking them than those who knew the heroes before In the end we should all respect all of ideas and criticize them in the correct manner
Honestly a little heartbroken that you and Bailey didn't get as much from this movie as others, but still a great video. I think it's really encouraging that the general discourse around these movies - and hopefully all capeshit - is losing that mean-spirited edge that kinda defined it from 2016 onward. This movement was about more than just seeing some movie that never truly came out, it’s much larger than. This needs to be a message to studios that THEY are not in charge. Their sole purpose is to fund and make sure their movies are making money THATS ALL. No more no less. Artists must make art, and not a bunch of suits who only care about their own corporate agenda. Imagine in 50 years from now the museum owner tells the painter to leave something out of his mural, or the Producer tells the song artist to make his album more kid friendly to sell more record labels even though he/she is trying to talk about a life experience that occurred to them in their music. That’s such a grim world where art is dictated by companies and it’s a world I don’t want to live in. Say what you want about this film love it/hate it/fucking despise it and want it to burn like it’s original theatrical release, IT NEEDED TO COME OUT. This director suffered the worst pain you can on this earth, the loss of a loved one and a bunch of suits had the audacity to take his vision, shit all over it and make a mockery of his art while handing it over to some hack director who didn’t nearly have the same connection to the cast/characters as his predecessor did. One thing about HiTop films is that he’s too obsessed with comic book films being relatable to us, like how the Peter Parker in the Rami films has relatable issues in his life but the reality of the situation is that these are COMIC BOOK movies, they’re about superheroes, gods, mythical creatures, men dressed in costumes, it doesn’t always have to be relatable and have this strong human feel to it. I’m not saying it should have a heartless feel to it or no human type moments but we don’t need to be hell bent on having them in there.
What is not relatable about Alfred worrying about Diana scalding his tea? Or Superman hugging two of the most important women to him so passionately with the dusky sun? I kinda disagree with Hitop on that. background?
True but Spider-Man is not a good example of that because in his personal life he's just a normal kid with the same problems as everyone else. Since his inception he was relatable. Even superman can be made relatable. The only world he's ever known is earth where he was raised from a baby by 2 farmers and had a pretty normal upbringing. Obviously that depends on the writer and to begin with in the 30s he was basically just a god there to save people but I think he's proof that any character can be relatable when you have a good writer. But I agree they don't have to be relatable to be enjoyable. As long as the art is nice, I'm probably gonna enjoy the comic regardless if the characters are relatable
MoS is very relatable, it's a story about an adopted boy who wants to be accepted in a world which is afraid of him. BvS is about unreasonable anger and hate for someone different than you. JL is about being alone and being broken and trying to form your own future by changing your own past. The trilogy is very relatable people just don't perceive them as such.
Spider-Man is not a good example because he’s meant to be just a random no one. Tony Stark is a millionare. Thor is also a god. Marvel has their larger than life characters, but Spider-Man is so successful BECAUSE his character is so grounded to the average normal man. At least the Peter Parker side.

I'm still confused why that other guy didn't like it. So he didn't like the aspect ratio? Where you see more? No wait, he said that he didn't like that there weren't any human moments, so he didn't watch when flash talks to his dad? Or when Cyborg talks to his mother? Or maybe at the end when Bruce buys the bank for Clark's mom?
the whole clark returning to the farm scene alone is emotion. clark returning to the fortress is emotional alone! im sick of people saying theres no emotions in these films. thats a flat out lie
@@simonbright2975 yes thats exactly what he said and meant. But at the same time human moments don't need to be shot hand held for no reason. This shot of Clark Lois and his mom matched the rest of the film and acted as his grand return. One good example of shaky cam would be the ending of infinity war which acts as the starting point for endgame: the dusting of hawkeyes family that was done well hand held.
@@acronvron9665 I don't think so. That shot was also an emotional payoff for Martha and Lois. It wasn't just about Clark. It didn't need to be his grand return. It was a human moment. But whatever, I don't mind because I was never that emotionally invested in the movie, except maybe for Cyborg and the Flash, so that didn't bother me. I can see both interpretations. Just because you feel one way, doesn't mean he can't feel another.
The other guy is fucked af he loved BvS but hated JL? He only want to troll us like always saying he got "depressed" is he fucking serius? why Hitops worked with him if this video was only about his opinion? Alex wtf?
I disagree with you on a lot of points in this video, but this video wasn't a review- it was a love letter to a director of films you didn't love as much as many of us.
I’m not sure what his problem with Superman’s return is. The black costume, aside from being a callback to the comics also makes sense from an in-universe perspective because it allows Superman to absorb more of the suns energy more quickly. Along with that, I’m not sure how they want him to be a “beacon of hope” when fighting Steppenwolf. Superman beats the shit out of him because it’s necessary to stop his plan for terraforming the earth and allowing Darkseid to invade. There’s no compromise with villains like these so I’m curious how these two would’ve changed Superman’s role in that final fight scene

What did Zack justice league accomplish beyond himself.... we will see I guess. But Yay for Zack fuck everyone else right
People really undercut this version just because a worse version exists beside it. It's an amazing and epic film to be honest unlike any other superhero film beyond it.
If you didn't love Zack Snyder's Superman, you should watch: Superman Man of Tomorrow (an animated movie from last year) and read All Star Superman (or watch its animated movie). Those are great modern interpretations of Superman
There was also the recent Superman Smashes the Klan comic which was also really good. Also, it's not that hard to find something better than Snyder's Superman. Also, there's this great short film by Jake Thomas titled "One on One" which explores what Superman is at his core: a friend.

@@XxHUNT3RN4T0RxX I think so!
Faith.”
I love Batfleck’s character arc from Batman vs Superman to Justice League.

Fleyk but what are emotions if not opinions persevering
Apparently Zach Snyder is one of the nicest guys in the industry. I’m glad he was able to finish his project.

Synder’s Justice League actually made me like Affleck’s Batman. He was different from how he was in the other films, and I really liked it.
I'm glad you understand that he was just growing because some people ignore him in this and judge him off BVS still
@@If_Only_I_Knew_Why I love the idea of Ben Affleck’s Batman.
@@Harvester88 The "Martha" moments been explained to death. It makes perfect sense if you infer that Batman was suffering from PTSD.

@Bing Boom Pow bro I think you're mad at the writing and direction. Ben Affleck and grumpy older batman was great to me. Idk what to tell you. Jared Leto being bad is fair, then again that more of a suicide squad problem then a Zack problem.
@Bing Boom Pow ben affleck was perfect for batman
Ben Affleck could have been perfect for Batman, especially with the body type. If only the writing was more faithful
@Bing Boom Pow Can you get more subjective? Have you seen any other movie he's been in?
I never felt your Snyder rant in the ‘Batman Does Not Kill’ video to be childish and petty. I mean, sure, it played up the humor and the fanboy angle, but it was not unfounded criticism that some others resort to.

The scene that moved me was Cyborg giving that family money and then you see in his facial expression how happy he was to help them.
I'd love to see more of this cyborg
this is insane character development for HiTop, but i don’t think i’ll ever see him say the same thing about inaccuracies with MCU Spider-Man
Tbf I used to HATE homecoming and FFH.
@@simonbright2975 Correct, Peter getting buried under rumble and saving himself is a famous comic moment.

It's not just about WB, it's also about Zack. I don't think he's currently willing to work with them again.
It's gonna need to make a lot of money at least 700 million dollars to get a similar budget to his previous films.
That’s not really a defense since Batman kills in the present day timeline anyway.
The way I took it, he was "merely" trying to mentally torture / scare Joker in that scene, because he is really, really pissed at him. Joker calls him out on that one. And I believe Joker nailed it there. He knows Batman will never do that. That's why he keeps taunting him.
@@JoshuaR9763 no he doesn't he only kills in bvs he didn't kill before nor after
@@bruhman1094 He still kills all the way through bvs and didn’t stop killing even after his supposed ark was finished (which being the Martha moment) and he continued to use guns in the justice league and didn’t fight crime so he didn’t get to kill anyone human but if he did he still was never implied that he would stop killing (no the Martha moment isn’t implying that at all as he literally commits homicide the scene directly afterwards just in case u were thinking that) and he also kills parademons but parademons is debatable if that’s considered breaking his role so he technically does still kill because he’s never been given a actual reason to stop or said himself or at least hinted he would 🤣 also we got no clue if he killed before bvs so u can’t really make that statement 🤣
Sorry if this came off as if I’m getting mad or something I’m genuinely not 🤣
@@JoshuaR9763 in justice league the scene where batman is standing on top of the bat tank if you look closely there are some mutant gang members tied and beaten up on the bottom left corner and that leads us that he stopped killing and btw his arc in bvs ended after superman died then he realised what he has done and that his ways were wrong. you may ask why did he kill the criminals that were in the warehouse fight scene he killed them because he was trying to stop a boy getting his mother killed so he saw the reflection in superman that his mother (martha) is like Clark's mother (also martha) so he did everything he can to prevent a boy getting his martha taken away from him. Sorry for my bad English im not used to talk english often
I love all his movies and when I finish my book (if it’s successful and people want an adaptation) he is the first person I would ask to direct it. I think his visuals with my themes of Lovecraftian gods would be perfect for him.
I hope your book becomes a thing and the adaptation becomes a thing. I’m hoping for ya! Good luck

Can you explain why it's so monumental for both Hollywood and the entertainment industry. I liked the film but I think it's safe to say that you are overestimating it's reach and it's quality. I'm genuinely interested in why you think that this movie is so impactful so please reply
@@CD-603 its monumental as fans can make enough impact on a movie that they respond and do something about it
@@CD-603 because the audience made a company bring back the director to finish his movie through a hashtag. It's not about if you liked the movie or not, it's about an artist finishing a project he wasn't allowed to finish before. I didn't like the movie that much but #restorethesnyderverse

It's a good Justice League movie, but it's just....A BAD Spider-Man movie...
I love Zack Snyder’s DCEU and I disagree with pretty much everything you say about his interpretations but I always enjoyed your jokes, memes and Parodying of his Films and style no matter how much it goes against what I thought about him. Yeah we do exist. Fans who can enjoy both sides of the conversations and different opinions man. We do exist You just gotta look hard for us.
Obviously there is in every single thing in existence someone who likes that thing and see it great even perfect. The problem is that that thing will in a vaccume and in general be always associated to the majority view.
In the end it depends on your backgrounds and ideas.
Mostly backgrounds because they shape how we viewed heroes and they will subconsciously make us reject when something that should represent our ideas represent something different (which is litterely summerizing every video that criticize anything in phylosophical terms) that is why people who saw Superman and batman through snyder movies have way more chance of liking them than those who knew the heroes before
In the end we should all respect all of ideas and criticize them in the correct manner
Honestly a little heartbroken that you and Bailey didn't get as much from this movie as others, but still a great video. I think it's really encouraging that the general discourse around these movies - and hopefully all capeshit - is losing that mean-spirited edge that kinda defined it from 2016 onward. I loved the movie personally, though it's obviously not without flaws - but i'm glad we can all talk about it and celebrate it for what it is.
You say Superman wore the black suit for no reason but we literally saw absorbing the suns rays using it. (black absorbs light better)

BvS Ultimate Edition is a GREAT movie. Only the Ultimate Edition tho, the theatrical release is dog water. Its a shame what the studio did to it. Should have been released as is.
yo what did it have that the theatrical cut didn’t? i watched it a long time back and i remember disliking it greatly lol. it was slow, boring, and didn’t really make a lot of sense in some areas to me
@@blackman5183 the UE had more scenes focused on the african dessert incident, it showed clark investigating about batman through gotham citizens, Lois trying to find out what really happened in the dessert, gave more context to lex's plan, so much more basically lmao
@@bumbum3751 ohhh ok yeah that’s an improvement.
This video gave me hope for opinions in this and the next generations. I feel like this is how rational people used to react to things they don’t agree with. It’s great to see a perspective like this. It’s so refreshing.
I understand people being passionate about these characters and stories like they should be, but I’m glad Zack got to a chance to show us his vision.
Shame on you WB. #RestoreTheSnyderverse #EndStudioInterference. This industry needs to change and with Snyder cuts releasing, and miracles like that Sonic movie getting reanimated there is hope yet. I’m just gonna say it again #RestoreTheSnyderverse.

I am vengeance. I am the night. I am THE SNYDER CUT.

I think he just meant that a lot of moments were visually/thematically treated in a grander way than they needed to be.
You sure love cheesy movies but I loved the Zack Snyder cut man it's amazing.
As always, you have a wonderful analysis. Joss Whedon's Justice League was a ridiculous offense to Zack as a filmmaker. I'm glad we're starting to see the issues in corporate filmmaking more and more
You know Warner even screwed over Joss Whedon right? His cut I remember was supposed to be 3 hours but warnerbros forced him to cut it further and then used Joss as fodder when it fell apart..

I'm more interested in the characters getting justice than a director that only does things his way. Ultimately he got what he wanted. What about the icons that were in his movie. You’re brilliant, man. Absolute best of the best.
If you didn't love Zack Snyder's Superman, you should watch: Superman Man of Tomorrow (an animated movie from last year) and read All Star Superman (or watch its animated movie). Those are great modern interpretations of Superman
