Blimey, I never knew you were in Redhill - I'm just 20 minutes from there! Where are you now? Reminds of some friends that had a place a bit like yours in Devizes near Swindon - you can get some very nice size properties there for a lot less than in Surrey. Looks like a fantastic place that should keep you busy but also give you the space you need for the car(s) and all your hobbies, plus a nice area for you and your family to enjoy your lives in. Good luck to you! Will you be looking for another job in the area?
Chris, longtime no see, good to have you back on here. Wow, big news, thats a really big project right there, moving in! That workshop looks cool, first thing I'd do with that is seal it against spiders!!!! I used to work in Redhill 29 years ago, its a small world. You certainly get more for your money away from the south east. Keep that pizza oven! let me know if you want a pizza dough recipe...very very easy to do. Hope we're still going to see you at TT meets down here. anyway Love the house, (I'm hoping its in dorset😉) well done sir, all the best, Si
Wow, I am glad you got sorted and wish you luck with your future job and endeavours. Your place looks awesome. Good luck and hopefully we will meet again
Hi Chris Do not remove the steel bars from the garage as they are helping the roof triangulate to give it strength and stopping the pitch of the roof pushing through walls out , if that makes sence mate. The front door modification looks straight forward 👍👍👍
Sorry for the delay in getting back to back to you Yes it can be done If you put timber across at 3/5 the way up the height of the pitch of the roof and multi fix it with spiked clamp plates between the rafters and the new timbers that will give enough support.this would obviously reduce your head height but the wider the timber fitted the more fixings you can have in the rafters. I’m more than happy to advise any further if you need more help.
@@CarChris82 I've been watching and following your journey on RUclips for a while now . I've learnt alot through watching your videos about the audi tt mk1 and hopefully i will get mine back on the road soon after 2 years. I do look forward to seeing the workshop come together if you are going to video all that. Mike
You must be buzzing, loving the new home mate, garage is a great size, remove the back kenal and move all of the benches to the back and open it up for 2 cars with clean space either side, the metal supports can be removed only if you have a new support system in place, good luck to you and the family mate👍👍
You will be missed "daaaan saaaaf" but I know you wont be a stranger. Dont forget to put a gate on that little fence to the "submarine" as the tank filler will need access to it to top it up. It all looks great mate. What a nice project to get your teeth into. Im looking forward to watching the progress 👌
Thanks mate you know i be back down for some shows and stuff, I hope you going simply next month ? Yeah I'm going to put a gate in lol but yes lots to do but have been smashing it out so will putting an update out soon
@@CarChris82 if you do need a hand I’m more than willing to help mate💯👍if you do want to take me up just let me know and I’ll arrange to sort my shifts off work and I’ll be able to give you couple days graft 👍
Keep the pizza oven, learn how to make pizzas and you can also cook cakes and puddings with the residual heat afterwards, cracking afternoon with some friends 🎉
Congratulations on the new house bro! 🎉🎉

Hi that makes perfect sense but is there a way of doing something where they can sit higher or something
Sorry for the delay in getting back to back to you
