Im 50 & been racing 1:10 electric since the late 90's. Crawling, flying & boating for decades now, that said it's only my 4th Traxxas. I've sold a ton of TMaxxs back in the day working for a hobby shop. Just wanted to say this video was great & shows how these scalers should be driven, not so much in the mud but with precision. Just got the brown TRX4M Ranger F150 after seeing it yesterday cause it's so ba. Wish the mirrors popped off when crawling. Great tune & driving, Cheers Traxxas! Now make the GMC Grande Fall Guy Truck for both scales plz.
I've been doing this to one of mine for years. Hose it off, spray it with wd40 and then blast it with air to dry. Takes about 15-20 minutes depending on if it needs a little brushing or not to help loosen the mud.
Just bought one, have many already and have been in the hobby since i was teen. I'm very impressed so far, great job with this one!!! I did like the satin Ford rims better so I picked those up for mine lol.
My original TRX4 Blazer has been going on all original parts for three years now. Has been fully submerged above the body, rolled, and beaten. The quality of these trucks never fail to amaze me.
@@let_it_ride9216 I run 2S on my Traxxas Slash and it lasts 30 minutes so I’d say on the TRX4 it’d last for about an hour hour and a half give or take.

Me and my buddies would pull the electronics out and literally power wash them, and then dry with compressed air. Followed up by some oil for the bearings. Am I forcing water where it shouldn’t go? Probably. Do we mind? No
I hope u opened all of your gear boxes and changed your grease when you were finished. I did this and didn’t do that for a couple days. The portal gears were already starting to rust from the mud water. Also some steel 1.9” rims with smaller softer tires look waaay more realistic and it acts more like a real vehicle.

All I can see is the tear down and cleaning of everything and it ruins this kinda fun for me ... I'm in the wrong hobby I think hahaha
Full tear down clean all bearings. What a nightmare. Electronics might be waterproof but all the metal bits and bearings are not.
