  • Wine Cap mushrooms are perfect for and easy to grow all over your vegetable garden. I show you how to set them up in bales of straw, shredded hardwood, leaf compost piles, and in your paths of your vegetable garden.
I use Wine Cap Saw Dust Spawn for North Spore in the video. I am not affiliate with them.
Here is my amazon shop with some mushroom ideas, please use them as a guide. The Wine Caps that I used, are not on Amazon at this time. www.amazon.com/shop/garypilar...

I got a hay bale from a neighbor yesterday with plans to plant sweet potatoes. I texted her and said “this must be a good bale cuz the bottom was full of mushrooms!” It didn’t occur to me to also grow mushrooms in it until I watched this videos. I promptly ordered winecap spawn from cascadiamushrooms this morning. I can’t wait to throw this stuff everywhere!

Very cool. I bought oyster mushroom plug spawn from Amazon spring 2021 for around $20. Had a fruiting in the fall both years. Almost exactly 3lb of mushrooms total. Happy with that. Hoping for 1 more fruiting next fall. Hard part was choosing a fresh piece of wood from my woods.
I'll give sawdust spawn a shot using leaf mold. 👍
