amen
This is the agenda. The elites aren't always bad.
@@bmatthews15you must be a elites with no money problems 🤷♂️
The food in the grocery stores are sky high too, supermarket shopping is expensive too and on line food shopping is worse.
@@kimwalter8753online food shopping?? Hahahahah
It’s literally to the point where we might as well eat at a restaurant
Another waste of money.
And drive up the prices of those as well? Interesting strategy... 🤔
You'd think. But the reality is that restaurant prices have also gone up but not only that, you also have to tip for service which makes the food even more expensive.
@@RAZTubinNo. You can eat at a sit down restaurant for the same price with better quality food.
Absolutely 💯
It’s not food it’s poison ☠️
Facts 💯
Had to eat at an airport last Friday. $38 for a sandwich with a small side of potato salad and a Caesar salad. No drinks and self serve.
You couldn't catch me. I Always have quality protein bars, and I can purchase fruits or juice if I'm short of it.
38 bucks? H*** no!
If I was eating at McDonalds, I'd be feeling the pain, too.
The stomach pain.
Same.
I stopped eating McDonalds when they no longer served anything that can pass as actual food.
The fast food prices has me going to local restaurants. I can get a better meal for less than a large combo.
Funny. Fast food prices are high precisely because people can't afford to eat at those restaurants. The demand of fast food relative to those places going up as a result is what is causing the surge in the first place so good luck offsetting that.
👍
My Father buys a Whopper Meal maybe once or twice a year and last year i took him to get one and it was $19!!! I decided to give Chic Fil A a try instead and it was $10-11 for a much better tasting Chicken Sandwich.
Nobody is paying high dollar for food that is mid in taste and nutrition
Which is a good thing, get away from corporate death burgers
Then why are they raising their prices and not going out of business as a result? You wanna think that one over a bit more?
Mid nutrition is generous to say the least.
Yes they will unfortunately. You think McD’s or Chick-Fil-A is going out of business?
@@datboijdopecuz people like you are addicted to it? Maybe think that one ever.
Fast food SHOULD be expensive.
Grocery prices rising is the real problem.
I've been told in Japan they make unhealthy food items more expensive.
Which makes more sense - Japanese people are healthy not just because of lifestyle but because they are incentivised to do so since it's cheaper.
Here in America and western countries the opposite is true. Unhealthy food is cheaper and healthy food is more expensive.
We should make Fast food more expensive. Many states raise the prices of cigarettes for similar purposes.
Boycott McDonalds
Just make sure it’s not a Israeli owned company first
Minimum wage nearly 100 % increase has to come out of your wallet ! $8.00 > 15.00
People need to grasp something the cheap quick food market needs to exist. Fast food is suppose to ease the wallet and clock
Went to a McDonald's drive-thru for the first time in years recently. ONE Big Mac and a medium frys was $11.50!! This was in Tucson not NYC. I won't be going back. For that price there are much better options.
Yeah I was super hungry a few years ago so I stopped in a mcdonalds and was blown away at the prices. I paid like five bucks for two sandwiches that were on the dollar menu for about 15 years straight. The only fast food in my area is bk and I go in now and then for the two for five deals. It used to be two whoppers for five but they changed that to whopper juniors like last year. But when I go in the people ordering ahead of me are always getting meal deals and they were all paying like $15! 12 years ago the most expensive meal at olive garden was $17. These bailouts and corporate greed are killing the dollar.
@@GeorgeJefferson-h7w
There's a bk close to where I live that I still hit maybe once a month. They send me coupons in the mail that gets you a large Whopper combo for $7.00. Never thought I'd be using coupons for fast food but here we are.
The main reason everything is getting so expensive is *the US debt is growing by a TRILLION dollars every 100 days* (look it up!). In a few years you'll need to take a shopping cart full of cash to the grocery store like in 1920's Germany. These politicians are destroying us.
I live I Utah and it’s 15+ for a big mac i rather go to a gourmet burger place from a couple dollars more
I get fast food ~4 times a year, and I will pay whatever price they charge me for that DQ blizzard and chicken basket. That being said, most fast food and restaurant food is terrible for you anyway. If you're eating it several times a week, you have bigger problems than inflation.
Money printer go brrrrrrrrrrrrrr. 👹 💵💵 💸
*A TRILLION dollars gets added to the debt every 100 days.*
Sure, that explains corporate greed, bird flu, mass cattle die offs from cold, grain price increases from the Ukraine war, and everything else. It's so simple! (for the simple-minded, at least. Must be nice to be simple).
But I would point out, there is something called tip inflation. When you go to a restaurant. Not only that a 10-20% attached cost of add-on for employees wages and insurance in California. That's not including a tip.
Tipping is theft.
Tipping isn't mandatory, and it's obvious that as customers we shouldn't be doing it. Soon enough we'll not have enough money to tip and either places will close or restaurant owners will choose to pay them a wage. But theses ppl making $2 and $3 an hour are ridiculous. Ain't no reason somebody should agree to that. And I'd venture to say waitresses are like single mothers only, bc they have no choice they have to make money no matter what, but nobody else should do that job not even high school kids. They can do McDonald's and cart pushing.. single mothers can do waitressing but even they should be getting an actual wage and that should be on them to negotiate I guess cause I don't want to tip anymore. Period.
Higher prices and corporate greed are not the cause of inflation - they are symptoms of massive increase of money supply called M1.
*America's debt is growing by a TRILLION dollars every 100 days.* If that sounds crazy to anyone, well it is.
And the money supply has to increase because of higher prices and corporate greed.
@@ryancappo
You've obviously never had a class in economics. Start there.
@@ryancappo Not how it works.good grief, you're better off not commenting on things you don't understand. Money supply increases when government prints more of it.
I understand exactly what is going on. You don’t seem to see the political motives of the people who set the prices and the collusion they have to try and get their way in the next election by manipulating the prices.
But if the banks don’t have enough money because the rich owners are greedily collecting as much as they can now and move it offshore, it requires the government to print off more.
McDonalds are giving free food to Israel Army as they 'operate' in Gaza.
You pay for that.
That was a franchise owner who did that. So no we don't pay for that. Still gotta bds though.
i love this idea. give them the worst food ever? no problem here
Happy to. Israel needs to be protected at all costs.
Good!
How are we paying for this?
You obviously don't realise that Israel started hostilities in 1948.
Meanwhile CEOs are 223% richer. The numbers add up once you do that part of the investigation

Was fast food really cheaper than groceries were at any point? I don't recall that. It was always a better deal to go to the grocery store and buy food there.
This is mostly true, but I think the $1.39 mcdouble (in canada pre 2019) was the cheapest thing you could get for a long time.. Not the most nutritious, but definitely cheap for the calories
@@chocoburg Rice is the cheapest per calorie.
Depends upon how much you value the time it takes to cook. And you're not going to drive home and cook for lunch.
I’m 39. When I was in high school, we’d go to McDonald’s after football practices to carb n protein load with $0.39 single patty hamburgers. We’d get like 5-6 each.
@@ryansreaction I remember them being under a buck, but for a buck you could get a double cheeseburger. Wendy's had a good dollar menu back then too. I worked in a factory the summer before college and would go get a jr bacon cheeseburger, six nuggets and like a double cheese for like $3.24. I was making $8/hr so that was less than a half hour of work to pay for a decent sized lunch. Same factory is probably paying closer to double that nowadays, but to get the same meal you'd be paying more than a half hours pay. I guess we're getting old man. Haha back in my day...
It’s really annoying seeing the rising fast food prices. I typically get it on days I work for lunch. I can’t afford another price increase.
Before I retired, I carried my lunch to work, leftovers, a sandwich, or whatever. Add up how much you spend on lunch, it may encourage you to be more frugal.
If you can't afford them you oughta save your money for other things.
Eating lunch seems necessary when you're used to doing it. I work a laborious job and rarely eat anything all day until I get home. Then I eat as much as I feel like.
you better start getting used to it
Pack a lunch? Jesus christ people are lazy
No bri it’s price gouging. These prices weren’t happening in 2020 21 during the height of the supply chain issues.
The real problem is *America's debt is growing by a TRILLION dollars every 100 days.* Crazy as it sounds, it's true.
price gouging doesn’t exist, if you want a product you pay what the supplier wants. Otherwise open your own business and charge what you want

It's worth pointing out also that portion size has decreased. I saw a friend's fish fillet and the fillet seemed about half the size as the last time I saw one. Also, no cap, they put only half a slice of cheese on it.
That sandwich was made the correct way they only put half a cheese on the fish filet. The Double fish filet has the full piece of cheese on there 😅

People acting like this is only in the US lol
Literally save yourself and buy a pack of ground beef. Meal prep smash burger patties and sauté some veggies. Protein and veggies that aren’t full of wild chemicals. Tastes better and has a better value. Imagine that.
Trust me, eating at home is not better. It is a myth. What really happens is that you will over-buy and take advantage of not so healthy deals at the supermarket. So not only do you get the salad at the supermarket, but you will also see the 2-4-1 chocolate cookies special and buy it. It is a deal after all. Instead of buying healthy food, you will get the salt loaded ramen noodles for an easy meal. Once the food is conveniently at home, you will over eat.
The real crime is the amount of calories in those foods. A thousand calories for a burger and fries is nuts. Why would u pay this much to eat trash tier food that's so bad for u? And don't tell me it's bc it's cheap. Ur just too lazy to cook food urself and complain about it

Paying a $15- $18 minimum wage was great idea..🙄
The minimum wage is still $7.25/hr...
Inflation is just and excuse for them to price gauge and eventually replace workers with their robots. Then prices will drop and they'll say it's because the robots are more efficient than these over priced workers - even most of states don't have high minimum wage laws for fast food workers like California.
Shop ready made foods from farmers markets. Usually cheaper and way way better.
Subway excel exclusively at keeping prices low. That's why if you pay attention when you go to Subway, you'll often find that the lettuce tends to be more brownish (indicating that it isn't fresh, and/or was not stored at correct temperatures), the tomatoes tend to be a bit shriveled and soft, and the meat sometimes even tastes a little off. But hey, at least the prices are lower!
Is that still the case? Heard it's 16 bucks now for a foot long.
thx dems

I didn't understand why the price of food did not go up that high during the pandemic when there are far fewer people working in the supply chain but now 3 years later
Chipotle and all places are price gouging
Price gouging is just a word that means, "prices I don't like".
No.
Wrong term. Selling generators after a hurricane for 3x what they are worth is an example of price gouging. Selling a decent burrito for ten bucks is a fair price in my opinion.
@@infinitytoinfinitysquaredb7836 It took one Google search to discover that McDonalds has raised their prices at more than TRIPLE the rate of inflation since 2014, well before the pandemic. The company also recently created more low-budget menu items because customers complained about the prices, stopped frequenting them as much and as a result, they took a rare loss in profits.
The issue isn’t that McDonalds is facing higher operational costs. The issue is that McDonalds got greedy, customers got sick of it and they’re using the media to spin a different narrative. Bad journalism.

It's a reflection of the economy. I eat it a few times a year at best but it's fun to read comments of people who know nothing about economics blame one guy for the problem. Nobody seems to know the definition of inflation and if they did, they'd realize it's the printing of money aka the bailouts. TRILLIONS of new dollars printed to go directly into the pockets of the pharma and hospital corporations. Watering down the money supply and robbing your dollars of the value they used to have. It's outright theft disguised as being necessary.
