      I've been told in Japan they make unhealthy food items more expensive.
      Which makes more sense - Japanese people are healthy not just because of lifestyle but because they are incentivised to do so since it's cheaper.
      Here in America and western countries the opposite is true. Unhealthy food is cheaper and healthy food is more expensive.
      We should make Fast food more expensive. Many states raise the prices of cigarettes for similar purposes.

      Yeah I was super hungry a few years ago so I stopped in a mcdonalds and was blown away at the prices. I paid like five bucks for two sandwiches that were on the dollar menu for about 15 years straight. The only fast food in my area is bk and I go in now and then for the two for five deals. It used to be two whoppers for five but they changed that to whopper juniors like last year. But when I go in the people ordering ahead of me are always getting meal deals and they were all paying like $15! 12 years ago the most expensive meal at olive garden was $17. These bailouts and corporate greed are killing the dollar.

      The main reason everything is getting so expensive is *the US debt is growing by a TRILLION dollars every 100 days* (look it up!). In a few years you'll need to take a shopping cart full of cash to the grocery store like in 1920's Germany. These politicians are destroying us.

    • @Forte-f9u
      @Forte-f9u 4 месяца назад

      Tipping isn't mandatory, and it's obvious that as customers we shouldn't be doing it. Soon enough we'll not have enough money to tip and either places will close or restaurant owners will choose to pay them a wage. But theses ppl making $2 and $3 an hour are ridiculous. Ain't no reason somebody should agree to that. And I'd venture to say waitresses are like single mothers only, bc they have no choice they have to make money no matter what, but nobody else should do that job not even high school kids. They can do McDonald's and cart pushing.. single mothers can do waitressing but even they should be getting an actual wage and that should be on them to negotiate I guess cause I don't want to tip anymore. Period.

      @@infinitytoinfinitysquaredb7836 It took one Google search to discover that McDonalds has raised their prices at more than TRIPLE the rate of inflation since 2014, well before the pandemic. The company also recently created more low-budget menu items because customers complained about the prices, stopped frequenting them as much and as a result, they took a rare loss in profits.
      The issue isn’t that McDonalds is facing higher operational costs. The issue is that McDonalds got greedy, customers got sick of it and they’re using the media to spin a different narrative. Bad journalism.

      It's a reflection of the economy. I eat it a few times a year at best but it's fun to read comments of people who know nothing about economics blame one guy for the problem. Nobody seems to know the definition of inflation and if they did, they'd realize it's the printing of money aka the bailouts. TRILLIONS of new dollars printed to go directly into the pockets of the pharma and hospital corporations. Watering down the money supply and robbing your dollars of the value they used to have. It's outright theft disguised as being necessary.
