XXL BLACK'S BEACH AND SWAMIS SURF IN SAN DIEGO
San Diego experienced historic surf this week! Black's Beach and Swamis saw the biggest surf in well over a year. The biggest sets were pushing 20 foot on the faces.
We spent time at both Swamis and Black's Beach, two of the best beaches in San Diego that can hold massive waves. Big wave surfing in San Diego only happens a handful of times a year but when it does it's a real treat.

That crowd at swamis is such an absolute abomination. 3/4 of those guys shouldn’t even have paddled out. Just roadblocks and human sharpnel.

I've surfed Black's and all through the SD area. Black's is a powerful break. Seeing that one dude come off the lip and get pummeled makes me wonder how brutal that wipeot was. I surfed the OB pier when waves smashed it's cross beams and exploded on top of it. That was nuts. But these waves are epic. Awesome to see this footage. I'm just blown away.

Not as big as last years mid January swell ‘22, but the difference was the wind stayed calm all day which unusual for this time of year
