Back in 90,s 200 ,you cld go from newcraighall bing each way from there to Glasgow or towards Dunbar .all changed with shopping centre and motorway but was riding the dual carriageway for miles when it was being built good times .
Great vid. Just can't understand why your all going so fast on these sections? Why the need for speed all the time when it's all just a blur your missing the scenery.
I don't get TRF gets bad comments. Every weekend a legal ride. Lads who know the bikes and trails. Best 50 ish quid ive spent. Cheaper than a single guided outing.
If what I read in these comments represents the approach and attitude within the TRF then I don't feel inclined to join. RichardPeel6056 has valid points which are not adressed with knowledge but only with scorn and put-downs. If this ride was ridden legally on BOAT's and/or ORPA's then it would be right to defend this ride by posting details of the route, rather than divert the argument to say he's calling for lanes to be closed.
@@MrStr8denbro, we are the only ones clever enough to know our rights which is why we ride more places than you do! 😂 Nice video Brin, good day. Nice to see your front wheel on screen more than a few times 😂😂👍🏻👍🏻
All legal, Access to use these wonderful series of woodlands is obtained by Somerset TRF for the ride days only, Brilliant morning then off to the pub for something to eat, as I've said elsewhere one of the many benefits of being in such a marvellous group, (this was a members only morning but next open to all trf members is on April the 24th, different format as track's to follow at your own pace laid out with varying levels of difficulty, suit your self how difficult you make it)
The 3 line small number plates do not comply with current DVLA regulations and are probably illegal. At no point in the video does anybody use an OS map or OS map on a device to ensure that you are en route and on Byways Open to All Traffic or other motor vehicle rights of way. Throughout the video we see three wooden footpath signs and no Byway signs, your group appear to be using Public Footpaths, and private farm and forestry tracks on which you have no right of way. Your group goes where it wishes disturbing the countryside and annoying legitimate countryside users.
@@6Twisted There are legally speaking no green lanes, you can use Byways Open to All Traffic, other routes open to the public (green blobs on the OS Explorer maps). You should not be using Public Footpaths or Bridleways. In the video you were using Public Footpaths. In my area motorcyclists are using Public Footpaths and turning them into mud pits. I've been assaulted by a quad biker riding on a pavement and threatened by motorcyclists riding in a Public Open Space closed to motor vehicles for recording them. Photography is not a crime. The footpaths and bridleways and private farm tracks don't need your help to stay open. Your were possibly given a cheap boy's full suspension mountain bike by your dad, it was alright downhill but the suspension sapped your energy on uphills and in mud. The answer is not putting a motor on it but in getting a better mountain bike with a hard tail.
@@richardpeel6056 One, I'm not in the video. Two, don't paint us all with the same brush because you got assaulted by some chav on a quadbike who most likely had no license or insurance. I have full ride videos on my channel where we only use legal byways. By trying to get every byway closed to motor vehicles you're just going to force more people into illegal riding.
@@6Twisted I'm not trying to get byways closed to motor vehicles I'm trying to stop motor vehicles (not authorised by the land owner) from using public footpaths and bridleways. If you're going to make full ride videos don't record motorbikes with no number plates or with illegal number plates. When you pull off a highway onto a byeway record the byeway sign, show that you are map reading and if there is no byeway sign use subtitles to demonstrate that you are on a trail where you have a right of way. If you make videos showing motorbikes riding along public footpaths and without legal number plates you will be encouraging the chavs. Last year a 7 year old girl was hit and killed by a 14 year old on a motorbike in Manchester, he hit and ran. A person going for a walk on a pavement, a public footpath or in a public open space faces being run down by motorcycles, or threatened or being beaten up by the riders. Illegal riding is already out of control, our incompetent and corrupt police force aren't capable of stopping it and people are going to die.
Looks quite tame with a few challenging bits all good fun! And a full day of laughs thats a good day out !
Lovely, i am looking to join my local TRF in the next couple of months.

Fair play, A tough ride in places, too hard for me! 🙂👍

I haven't read all of the comments but I wonder if any people with a chip on their shoulder about the TRF will come along and write unhelpful replies.

Hi, as a fellow TRF member im curious is this an event that will happen again that i can attend and film? Awesome vid by the way, i really enjoyed it!
hi, this event is exclusive to somerset TRF so yes if your an STRF member you can ride!
Great Vid - where was this?
Don't expect any TRF member to divulge that information, they think they're the only ones entitled to use the ucrs/byways etc
😂 They would never tell you

Please read previous comments, Arthur studley explains all perfectly!
When all the lanes get shut down and become overgrown will you be happy then?
