I have just had this procedure and I wish I had found this video before I went. beautifully explained and exactly explained.
Very good explanation and reassuring. Thank you.
thank you for being honest about it...now it is less scary for me
I had exactly the same procedure in Aug. it went smoothly with no discomfort. I am indebted to Michael Kanner of Miami. It went exactly as explained in the video. Jacqueline Brown, Aventura, Fla.
Did they ever diagnosis your with Glaucoma??? My doctor mentioned narrow angles at my last visit and I’m scared to death!
Had this done today, was worried beforehand but shouldn’t have been, it all went very well. Hardly any discomfort and no complications. I read all the risks online and you get carried away with it, whereas most studies say these are rare. The hole is tiny and covered by my eyelid. I was having slight pain in the eye and it’s now gone. Now the pupil dilating drops have worn off, my vision is perfect after just two hours.
I'm glad this video came up because I'm having an iridotomy in a few days. The 2nd eye will be done the following week. I feel more at ease about it now. When I'm finished and my ophthalmologist checks I hope my eye is still there, LOL. (3:43)
How did it go for you??? I may end up having it but won’t find out until a October. Did they diagnose you with Glaucoma or tell you why you needed it?
@@fireypeach Everything went fine. I was diagnosed with glaucome and told why I needed the iridotomy . The iridotomy itself only took a few seconds and in my right eye it felt like a rubberband snap that only lasted a fraction of a second. When the left eye was done I could feel something being done to my eye but there wasn't a rubberband snap type feeling. It didn't affect my sight in anyway but it took away the terrible achy feeling I was experiencing around my eyes before. Not everyone get that achy feeling though.
3:33 Just to make sure that the eye is still there???!!!
Well you sure put my mind at ease Doctor!
LOL!!!!!!!!!!! I thoiught the same thing!!!!!!!!!!
TruthBeTold
"Make sure the eye is still there"
I thought I was having laser eye surgery and not on the bridge of the Enterprise firing photon torpedoes......!
He was just making a joke, lighten up, geeeezzz
I know that may be he was joking but I would had not wished to see this video about the procedure, now I am scared!!!
😂🤣😂🤣
Thanks for the explanation in this and your other videos.
“Just to make sure the eye is still there” 😂
Lol..lol...lol..yessss that got me too...lol...lol
Thank you very much
Very informative and clear
this was 6 years ago, is it the same now October 26th 2017, i will be getting this done this next Thursday, please pray for all to go well, my name is Ana Marin, thank you and God bless you
How did it go?
I just had it done today, it feels like your getting a rubber band snapped into your eyeball! It does feel very uncomfortable. Three snaps in each eye. My eyes were extremely sore, tender and teary for about six hours after. Im glad it’s over!
Had you been diagnosed with the narrow angles & did they tell you why you have it?
@@fireypeach yes I have narrow angles, they said I was born with it.
@@laylarose4162 thank you! I was diagnosed with lazy eye on the right when I was a child. I’m farsighted in one eye and nearsighted in the other. My vision is so different in each eye that it baffles the eye techs! Lol. I guess I’ll find out in October if I will be referred for the procedure. If it’s preventive and he thinks I need it then I’m just going to tell him to refer me!
I am having this laser procedure not because of glaucoma but because of an ICL surgery to correct my -7.50 high myopia and astigmatism that will occur after this Iridotomy - I am nervous about this procedure, if something goes wrong I will not have the ICL and it would have been for nothing and my vision can even get worst that it is.
How are you today my friend?
After operating the eye how long does it takes to recover.
Sir , I have gone through yag peripheral iridotomy just yesterday, but I am feeling pain on my left eye..is it normal or shall I visit my doctor immediately?
My eyes don’t like being touched though. They water and blink and get tense
Is it best to do one eye at a time or is 2 eyes ok?
Yo Doctor I want sedation!
عااااااالی
And you will hear pew pew pew!
Lol yep
