------ Somme - British special premium Tier IX destroyer. The Battle-class destroyers, featuring enhanced AA defenses, were designed drawing on lessons learned from wartime and ordered by the Admiralty between 1942 and 1943. The ships ordered in 1943 differed from their earlier counterparts by having more powerful main battery artillery, and among them was destroyer HMS Somme, named after one of the biggest battles of World War I. However, she was never commissioned and remained unclaimed due to the end of hostilities in 1945. She was eventually demolished on her stocks.

So it's basically a Jutland with Daring guns and a little more lifepool. Not sure I'd pay for it, but it's nice if you don't have a trained British DD captain.

No? Its exactly the same as jutland

@@24yamato94 it has more guns, higher lifepool, and slightly better AA, but brit DD AA is a joke at any level so it's barely worth mentioning.
It's the rare premium that is better than it's tech-line counterpart in all ways; as opposed to exchanging a gimmick or doing trade-offs (ie Cossack giving up torps for more guns, etc)

@@chriswillett9962 it doesnt have more lifepool, he just had the captain perk for it, u can compare all the stats on wiki or wows stats and see that theyre the same

Terrible awareness though and reversing into that extra torp. Any player can get lucky with torps even gobby ones

Yeah, really ruined the game overall that. That first batch of torps was impressive though. 10/10 hits, double kill.
