  • 5 Things Salesforce Developers Should Know About Lightning Web Components.
As Solution Architects, we are often impressed by the level of expertise and quality of UI development in many Salesforce projects. While Salesforce has made strides towards aligning with general web standards with concepts like Aura and Lightning Locker, and more recently with Lightning Web Components (LWC) and Lightning Web Security (LWS), there are still significant knowledge gaps among Salesforce developers. This session aims to address the following questions:
Why are Apex Unit Tests written as a matter of course and even code coverage goals enforced, but LWC Unit Tests are largely unknown?
Why is so much individual HTML and CSS written, even though there is a standard component library and its own design system (SLDS)?
We would like to share with the participants the five most important things about UI development with Lightning Web Components that, in our view, need to be understood so that they can perform even better in future projects in this area.
