I never realized what a fishing guide had to do and I find it incredible that he hunts the fish down with instinct and knowledge of the area. No messing around. If one spots cold-on to the next. Paying clients want to catch salmon. No pressure. 😉
CAM! That net is looking janky. Ya'll need to contact Beckman nets and see if they want to sponsor you all. Epic nets, great customer service, and good selection.
Good fishing! Looks like everyone had a good time. Your leader length behind the paddle looks long compared to what we run in the Great Lakes. What length leader are you running?
@@TeamGoneCatchin Yup! I noticed that, but some times the waters dirty and choppy and it can be real hard to tell. Since I went to knotless, I'm amazed at how the scales stay on the fish, even makes the hero pics look a lot better...
I saw your episode with first State fishing. I used to live in Delaware. From here though. You guys should collab with him and hit the Indian River inlet and drift live eels for big stripers! Cam seems to be a hard-working man 👍🤙 great vids!
When are you fishing the NorCal sac river barge hole? Or the infamous outlet hole? Love to see ya here in California more. Maybe even the smith, mad or eel!!??
No hate on Cameron but you guys coming out here and fishing on these immature fish is why we don’t have big coho anymore. Your killing them before they get to any size
@@ryanbierbrauer1426 that don’t make sense. These fish will be running soon, by thinning some of the population before they run would only leave more bait and feed for the other ones allowing them a better chance of putting weight on in your scenario.
Jim, youre spot on. Fish staging now are A run fish that will be entering fresh water shortly. These fish may have a week of growing left then they'll looking to spawn. Also, the vast majority of the forecast is A run fish that domt bite well in fresh water. If too many of these fish get by, they cut plants. This year too, effort has been minimal with a crappy ocean, we better start catching even more of these.
Makes me wish I had a boat and knew what the fuck I was doing 🤣. Caught a Wild Chinook today just before noon on the beach just above County Line Park this morning though, too bad I had to throw it back.
Why do people reel in fish with the clicker on? Drives me crazy. It's there for the initial strike. Went on a trip out of Newport on Friday. Coho at 15-20ft, but caught a 25lb Chinook at 50ft. Great video guys.

Salmon, rock fish, all good. I love the fact that if a day isn't hot on salmon, you can go get some rock fish and at least bring home some meat.

Thanks for the vid! Get you a Beckman or another knotless net. Hard to watch scales getting knocked off those wild fish. Love your stuff...
95% of the time wilds don't get netted. I swear that one sprouted a fun one I netted it. Lol

Yooo what happened to those 2 coho’s heads on the table at 20:04?? That must’ve hurt
Looks like they had tags in the nose, so the fish checkers cut them to send in the tags with the catch info.

Likely the guide said “Don’t mess with the reel! Leave everything as-is.”. So they don’t turn off the clicker.
He can’t lift that hod
