Bradley Cooper for Best Actor! I fell in love with his character! He's so likable, humble, charming, humane, talented and yet so flawed.. . His facial expression were so believable that at the end of the film you'll happy that it's just a movie and Bradley is still with us! At least that's how it feels for me.
Really hope it gets recognised next year at the Oscars and Golden Globes. Bradley Cooper really nailed it as a man who was struggling with alcohol and drugs along with being suicidal. His a brilliant actor.

Lady Gaga was magnificent in this film but she shouldn't win the Oscar. there where definitely parts in the movie where she lost her character particularly in the second act. Bradley acting was phenomenal, so he is a contender for best Actor, but again i wouldn't give him best Director. In the second act they brought Alley to close to Lady Gaga and the lines where blurred. he stated that she was selling out by doing it, and yet she never gave any indication as to her feelings on it.

A Star is Born is so moving and powerful movie of the year. It is so relevant, sad but heartwarming story of two people in love. Both Bradley and Gaga transformed into the characters they are playing. Great acting and directing. Hope this movie win many awards.
Gaga gave a great performance, but it's Bradley Cooper's that is still in my dreams. So subtle, conveyed with the expression in his eyes and his body language a lot of the time, but absolutely enthralling and heartbreaking when he collapses at the rehab center. Watch the movie again and watch him carefully. He was stupendous. Then there's the directing, the song writing, the singing, having his hand in every aspect from the sound mixing to the editing. It was a tour de force.

Can’t believe I didn’t watch this film until just now. I totally didn’t connect with the previous incarnation and so didn’t bother. It is now up there as one of my favourite, if not my favourite, film of all time. It’s the whole package.
In the music community it really is like that. When you as a musician sees someone and you just see the talent before anything else, you fall in love with her voice and her talent, then when you meet the person it's just better. Whether its a brotherly love, or a "you're my role model love" or an honestly "Jack and Ally love".
I need a documentary about the making of this movie :-) I hope the DVD has lots of behind the scenes footage, because those concert scenes were amazing. So artfully filmed that you would think they shot for hours to get things "just right." Knowing they had 12 minutes IN TOTAL, split across two different concerts, and still got such amazing footage, is really mind blowing.
