I have two weeks to focus on 8 songs. Before the audition. All of the words have to be memorized. 😍😍😍😍😍 so this is great day two of strengthens my voices tomorrow 2 hours warms up/ drills with strengthing vocals. Then 2 hours of over lyrics with humming all 8 songs.
Never give up and believe in yourself! Once you learn how to sing properly, you never forget it. I was in vocal music throughout my entire life, went to regionals and all that fine stuff in middle school and high school. But once I left high school I put my dreams of being a Broadway singer behind and went to school for psychology. Until just recently I started training again and realized I never lost much. Even after years of smoking and vaping, my voice is actually able to reach whistle notes I couldn’t on my best day back when I was singing all the time. Keep pushing through and make Mariah Carey proud! 💕💕😍
Ian you are the best vocal coach on RUclips. I have tried lots of other channels before, but none worked for me. No vocal workout was as good as yours. This is so helpful that you make different workouts for different vocal ranges. And also there is no chance to get bored with these various workouts. I really appreciate your help. 🙏❤️
I was away for a two week vacation. I did one of your warm-up videos before a lesson, and my vocal coach couldn’t figure out why I sounded so good after two weeks off. Thank you! :)
I only use warmups from Ian now!! BTW, If any of the exercises get tough for any reason, try singing it on a ‘ng’ sound or lip trill!! Ng helps take the pressure off of your vocal chords and the lip trill helps with breath control Also, if you struggle with high notes, remember to breathe from your diaphragm and drop your jaw and make sure your throat is very open. Try keeping the tip of your tongue touching your bottom teeth. This is what made the high notes feel a lot less high for me!
I love the advanced riffs and runs, I really like the super super fast. Are you able to do a video that is focused on professional singers with super fast riffs and runs! I use all your videos for my pre concert vocal warmups- you’re awesome ❤
Hey Aussie! I know I’m a bit late commenting on this one. Have used it regularly when you first posted it, but I wasn’t much of a commenter then. However, I want to say that I like all of the exercises, and I think they really help my voice. Although exercise 4 is a bit of a challenge by the time I reach round 5, because I tend to run out of air. I think this exercise could help with that. Am I right? Thanks a bunch for this exercise! 😊
Thank you so much for a suuuper cool workout! All exercises were effective for me, I had a lot of fun, especially when doing exercise 4 )))) It was both challenging and moving forward.
Thank you for this video. I cant at this stage get past the last exercise but am improving every day. I do find I feel a strain in my throat during these exercises and you have said to stop if you feel a it but how am I going to get better and reach higher notes if I always stop when I feel a strain in my voice? And what am I doing wrong that I feel the strain to begin with? I have been singing now 3 years.

Thanks for sharing the links to these additional warmups/vocal workouts! I was like a kid in a candy store when I saw them! 😆😊
Knowing your own comfortable chest-head voice changeover helps ease the strain.

I really like the last one. I realize that I have to focus on pitch as the keys get higher and work at keeping the tension out of my throat.
