Watching Casey run was one of the funniest things I've ever seen. He was as slow as molasses and his butt seemed to flop in every direction at once, like a sack full of cats.
I was at the game. 3rd base line behind the dugout, 20 rows up. Great view of this play! The only game I've gone to since the cancellation of the '94 season. If you hear a deep bellowing BOO as Casey returns to the dugout, that could be me. Drove 3 hours, sat through a 2 hour rain delay and Nate Robertson gives up 5 in the 1st, 5 in the 2nd. Down 10-0. And then Casey gets caught lolly gagging down to first!!! I couldn't believe the crap I was watching!!! (It turns out he thought the ball was caught by the 3rd baseman). But it is the only ever scoring of a 5-7-3 putout in MLB history!!! My POV : Casey hit a line drive that the 3rd baseman leaped straight up for and it ticked off of his glove but still had enough steam to get to the left fielder. I'm watching the left fielder gather the ball, AND HE COMES UP THROWING, I'm thinking what the heck is going on? I look over and Casey is thundering down the first base line. It looked to me like he's stomping his feet into the ground because he's trying so hard, and because he sucks at running. But Casey is a good guy. Sorry about the booing.
What i don’t like about these comments is that no othe major leaguer runs out line drives that are caught in the infield And it didn’t just tick off his glove it loses almost all of its momentum it was pretty much in his glove
Mad you’re a lefty Sean so you had a extra step 🤣, but laughed so hard at you telling the story. Props to you, would’ve happened to Ricky Henderson under the circumstances…of course he would’ve been thrown out at second .
One other story about the 72 reds.in a game at the stick with rookie left pitching..he. Plunks somebody and the reds bench starts toward the mound.you know THE BIG RED MACHINE. AS THEY ADVANCE FRIM THE DUGOUT THE ROOKIE YELLS. 'I K O ED STAUB.THE BIG RED MACHINE HITS REVERSE AND BACK TO THE BENCH

He had a bad back. Made him very slow.
Fantastic combination of Sean Casey and Dan Patrick. Thank you so much for sharing and God bless all from Patrick

"It was bang-bang at first" 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
1:32 “Bang bang play” LOL
"The Mayor" is hilarious, and when you do something that dubious, you have to laugh at yourself, otherwise, you'll be a brooding fool...
Paul Molitor was thrown out at first by the left fielder in 1979.
@Vincent Cuttolo July 6th, 1979 vs Detroit Tigers, third inning. www.baseball-reference.com/boxes/MIL/MIL197907061.shtml
He needs to be on Pat McAfee
He is rn

Didn't care for him as a player, but as a person, easy to see why he's called the mayor. Many can learn from his disposition, it's the best!
He was a very good player
I've never seen anything quite like that before xD

I got thrown out from center field my first time playing on the big diamond 😂
Actually I believe ernie Lombardi was thrown out at first from the outfield!
THE laziest play in MLB history!😅😅
I remember watching the game on tv and called Casey d.m.f.er
