Yep! We were pirates trying to destabilize a kingdom and incite a rebellion, so we broke into the palace to fuck with the king' stuff. We also wanted to steal his cat, Chomp, but we couldn't find him :(
If you're running a published adventure or the players are happy to start with a more linear Homebrew quest that can totally work. In my experience, character creation and the things covered in a session zero take up several hours on their own, so I prefer to keep them separate so we don't end up needing to clear an entire day.

I don't understand the lack of views, likes, & subs for such quality content.
Building an audience takes time. We're growing, but it's a marathon, not a sprint. Biggest thing that you can do to help though is share the videos :)
I like that you go deeper into the characters and their little details. I always wanted to play in a campaign where there is weight on the backstory
Thanks this is helping tons with my home brew campaign
I'm glad :D we'll be covering the starting location in a couple weeks, which I'm really looking forward to!
Big fan of making characters together! I just played a one-shot where three of us rocked up as rogues :)
A rabble of rogues! Was it at least a heist one-shot?

@@heyitsMattyP Always bring a spell caster for cat-based scrying!
As always, I love this series!
Glad you're enjoying :)
You need to make official adventures for DND
They would be infinite star
Is it just me or is he the best Dm of all time

Whats your take on doing the session 0 and playing the first chapter in the same day? Wouldn't be very exciting if we met up and didn't play anything
