Im not a pro plumber. I used to do it during an apprenticeship but ended up taking a different route. Still do all my own stuff. When my GF's drains stopped draining (after she'd already paid a local contractor $400 to clear it and they didnt even scope the pipes) I cleared the blockage with my drain cable but wanted to see what was in there. I picked up a vevor 165 foot scope because im not going to be using it all the time (again, dont do this professionally) and couldnt justify the cost of a see-snake. But $500 for a camera was priced right. Worked swell, gave me good indication of how far in from the clean out the obstruction was, I could see everything with clear quality. I cant speak for durability but given how often I'll use it for my place and my rentals (should i need to), I expect it'll do. Cheap battery will probably fail from not being used consistently if i was to make a prediction for what kills it.
