    sir in forward bias characterstics when anide is positive wrt cathode then p+n- and pn+ is in forward bias and in reverse bias junction will be n-p

    Can u plz explain two points you just read in the video - 1. Turn on process of GTO is not reliable. 2. GTO are connected in parallel to assist in Turn Off.
    It seems you are just reading from the book..Thats all

    Sir in the structure of gto the two doping material are n-type but u placed p+ for gate and n+ for cathode. Is it right sir ?

      Ya both are same gto is also known as gcs ( gate controlled switch). Coz gate controll the both on and off state .

      Negative gate pulse can reduce anode current to reduce below holding current which will turn off GTO

      If you give +ve pulse then you can turn ON GTO and by -ve pulse you can turn OFF GTO. That is how it works.
