8:00, to add to this, you can also bring torches and place them on the pillar in the direction you were coming from. It's called a Scompass, (Skizzleman Compass), and it's really helpful for determining where you are in the Nether and how to get back.
I have a variation on the Skumpass that doesn't need torches, just needs a little imagination - "ducks". pillar two blocks followed by one block, which you could imagine adding eyes, a beak, wings, and then it'd be facing the way home. But you don't need to decorate your ducks, just two blocks and one block like a stair. Three block markers give you direction as well as a trail.
I didn't think about using pressure plate for underwater breathing and I love the tip on turning down the light to find end gateways seems so obvious now.
That gateway tip is awesome. I always have a hard time figuring out how to get out of the end esp on HC when you cant just put all your stuff in an ender chest and jump in the void.
dude im 1/3rd of the way in and you've already recommended the two most overlooked early foods (and how to make them), igloo's as a viable early base if spawned in cold biome, and play with subtitles on. these are not just good 1.21 tips... these are just straight good tips for modern minecraft that fly under the radar.... Sometimes one hears "use subtitles" - i don't recall ever being told to use suspicious stew and why; much less how... so clearly - or why igloo's are pretty OP early game. already liked. & looking forward to the rest - cheers jev - this is high quality in the same way I forget how to build a auto 2 tall flower farm always for some reason & have bookmarked / i refer to cub's tutorial on building them from like 7-8 years ago still. This is not a lazy "my top 10" blah blah blah... these are legitimately good advice Edit: having finished now i think the nerf to # of bottles of dragons breath per shot was 1.17-1.18? I feel like i remember being able to get stacks like nothing in 1.16... #15 brightness all the way down crank render distance is not something i'd thought of before; and is honestly so smart and now... how many times have I been looking for a gateway for ages??? pains me. what an easy and clever solution. great tips man. edit edit: one additional thought on the end.... If one is playing on fabric/sodium with bobby mod & nvidium - in the end now on the inner most outer end islands you can still reasonably view the main end island on a decent PC - everyone prepares for first dragon & end bust differently but if you have an anvil, a mending + unbreaking 3 book, and a stack or so of rockets - which - pretty common approach... in your ender chest - just flying back to 0,0 is way easier/faster when you can see it and depending on luck/locations. Who knows when i'll find a gateway vs a 3ish minute flight and 20? rockets...
sorry one last one - once you find an end city travel east west in a line not north south - likelihood of encountering more nearby is WAY higher (eg go around the ring not further out ) due to how they spawn... That's honestly my best end tip and why i usually leave on like 4-5ish elytra's & 15-20 boxes + a bookmarked city on top of a gateway to steal a skulker from for a farm... (still build the ianxofrour overworld shulker farm - habit.)
Thanks for all the tips. I knew none of them, and now I'm wondering if I am too stupid to remember them. I will save this video to my MC favorites and revisit over and over.
The stew and the end gateway tip are nice and useful, thanks. The rest are either common sense, or there are easier ways to do it. Like the nether location and screenshot. just hit F3, screen shot, then click the screenshot link. No need to type or find the folder. Or the "fast" trading. Shift clicking will get you an entire stack of the item if you have enough emeralds to pay for it. This lets you single click most trades to max out.
@@boss-gy1qz Yeah completely agree. In the time it took them to do all of that crap, just to get blown up I should add, they could have simply checked each chest and grabbed what they wanted. Waste of time, waste of TNT, and like you said... just plain stupid.
I learned that tip about using bottles to clear dragon's breath from an earlier video of yours, and that's what let me survive that fight in survival for the first time ever in my current world! I've never legitimately conquered the end before, and now I'm finally learning to use an elytra. (Between my laggy laptop and my poor gaming skills it's hard going. But I'm determined to wean myself away from depending so heavily on creative!)

Some things i knew about (for ex. da soup), some things were new to me (for ex. attack the dragon head, makes sense but never occurred to me), absolutely worth the watch. after a few frustrating attempts never tried hardcore again, but now i kinda wanna give it another go. great vid, thanks!
Thank for the end portal tip! I always fly around forever looking for them. I like to suspicious stew tip, but the inventory space it takes up is frustrating. Thanks for the video!
What I do to help me make a path and not get lost is not only use more than one, but more than one kind. Like say sand on one side gravel on the other to remember which direction to go, too
Didn't know most of these! Only been playing ~4 years & play peaceful ('cuz 1.) I'm chicken & 2.) I haven't played many games with battles/fights so had NO CLUE what to do! 😉) . Needless to say I was SHOCKED SILENT to see the Dragon when I came strolling into The End expecting no mobs! 😆 I was essentially shown the "You died" almost immediately. But after learning all these great tips I am much more confident taking on the game, sans my standard cowar... Peaceful approach. 😁
i have been playing since 2013 and finally am gonna do a long world survival and these tips are gonna be super useful and ik about the igloo villager one, but i didn't realize they updated the zombie villager thing to only be on hard mode lol-
Dude!? I've been playing this game since it started. I never realized you could get those benefits from the two flower stews. And the dimming of the lighting trick at the end is a time saver! Thanks man. Keep playing the best game EVER!
Another tip for getting out of the End once you're done: put everything in an Ender Chest and jump into the void! Assuming you haven't set a respawn anchor.
I play hardcore and the first thing I do is build a boat and sail around till i find a snow biome and i hunt down 4 potions of weakness and 4 golden apples. I get a bed, a smelter and a crafting table from the first igloo and if i have a pickaxe I also get a brewing stand. I then try find 4 iron and some resdsone (buy 2 for one emerald) and make a compass and go back to the spawn chunks to build. I build a single building for my villagers , surround it with fences, make a wheat (or potato if i got some) farm and trap TWO zombie vilagers and cure them. One i make a farmer the next one is a librarian which i use to get protection 4. Nothing else. PROTECTION 4. Once I have prot 4 i get a full set of prot 4 iron and go find a fortress to get blaze rods so I can make my own potions of weakness. My next villager is mending, then unbreaking then efficiency V if I can get it. I do not care about cost in emeralds because I also make a fletcher and trade sticks for emeralds. i would take efficiency V for 500 emeralds if need be. I get every enchant that would be useful for gathering materials or increasing survivability and i get ONLY the max level of each no matter what the cost. I then upgrade to diamond armor and then search for a bastion to upgrade to netherite.
Thx they were Helpfull, and Interesting. But for the Underwater Tempel. I normaly get Sand smelt it into Glass and Built my Starter Base in the first Level under water and over time work myself down until I hallow the complete Building from the Inside out and start to live there.
I have been doing quick trading for some time now, but you have to do at least 1 trade of that item first before you can use the click, space trick. I use it on my clerics with flesh. So much flesh to trade for emeralds. lol
Since you say you're a beginner, here's a simple tip from me. Be careful when you look up any sort of information about the game. There are two versions of the game, Bedrock and Java, and some things are different between them. So you want to make sure that when you look up things for the game that you look it up for the version that you play, otherwise you may find information that won't work for your version. For example this video seems to cover the Java edition, and I don't know if everything here works in Bedrock. Not sure if you already knew that or not, or heck if you will even see this message, but I just wanted to point that out just so you don't end up finding wrong information.

Came here to say this ^,^ been a Scompass user for years, saved me sooo many times!
I use the 2 block method with netherite then use a fire starter to ignite the top block. It's like a big torch.
I just place the torches on any wall to my right so whenever i need to go back i follow the torches that are on my left
