@@johnjamesleahy4065 I love Paget Brewster. Many of my favorites all were in that show I don’t remember what it is but Matthew great gubbler? Is this his name? I won’t get this one wrong: Mandy Patinkin. The guy from the princess bride is the same guy. His lines were the best if I could actually remember them. The memory of the memory I had enjoying his character’s dialogue is enough really. I don’t care if you don’t care about my message. I’m not trying to be rude but it’s for me. Maybe a thousand years from now someone will enjoy my comment.
It's Comedy Central's fault! It wasn't like a ratings dip or anything that killed it and it had actually been nominated at the Emmys but Comedy Central decided to quit producing it which is such a sad, sad waste! 😕
I did a research paper ( in high-school) on sensory deprivation and John C. Lilly was a big part of developing deprivation tanks. Dude was serious!👍👍👍👍👍
Yea, but he was a. drug addict, After his. LSD phase, he got really into Ketamine. A guy who had worked with him said that folks around him used to say that they would not be surprised if he had bottles of Ketamine hidden in the bushes. And yes, he was into sensory derivation tanks. I have been in them, and they will make you trip all by themselves. But he would go in on them already high on K. .Later he wrote a book called "The center of the cyclone," in which he described "giving birth to himself over and over." So yes, really serious. I'm glad he indirectly got a rule passed that protected whales and dolphins to a certain extent, even if he basically killed one dolphin to do it.
The war on drugs is largely fabricated and based on reocurring double standards. It's a political tool that uses skewed data to justify, at best, the use of legalized drugs over illegal ones and, at worst, direct attacks to specific populations. That said, I think the war on drugs in the US is post JFK, so the line between medication and hard drug was even more blurred. There are many references talking about it, but it might be interesting to read specifically about John Ehrlichman, a counsel for Nixon

Well, if you ever wondered how they built all those massive sites in Central and South American like Machu Picchu or the "Nazca Lines" in Peru, we can probably assumed all those coca leaves had something to do with it. Maybe they drew some other kinds of "lines" before creating the he "Nazca Lines". 🤣
Rat tailed Jimmy is a second hand hood He deals out in Hollywood Got a '65 Chevy primered flames Traded for some powdered goods Jigsaw Jimmy he's runnin' a gang But I hear he's doin' okay Got a cozy little job sells the Mexican mob Packages of candy cane
I liked this soooo much better without the toxic masculinity dolphin aspects. As we undoubtedly all awaken one by one, I challenge you to take and approach the humor from a divine masculine view instead. In the process, be amazed at how your lives and relationships also improve since toxic masculinity ultimately brings everyone down
The Carl sagan rant was great.
Top tier
It's the talking dolphin at the end that did it for me😁🤣🤣
Best Episode ever! The carl sagan part was incredible
I respect your opinion, and I think it was top tier, but my favorite was "Lincoln, the Lawyer." If I had stitches, they would've burst WIDE open.
I like to think he actually said that
If you catch the bartender bark at 13:04 then I want to let you know that you are appreciated and have now gained an ally.
That was my favorite part! 😂
That bit was hilarious!
My favorite moment.
He's downing coke too
i rewatched that click at least 3 times before i continued the episode😅
I love Duncan trussle but that first JFK story had my face hurting.
"... and then nothing else bad happened to JFK" 😂😂😂
"....you can get a monkey descendant to make you come!" - Duncan Trussell
I love the way this entire show is shot and acted out. Hilarious!
He literally walked off into the sunset
😂😂😂
Duncan Trussell is the absolute best in this episode 😂
Apparently he was one of the two most memorable narrators!
Who is the other please? Maybe PAGET BREWSTER or that fun MARK guy??

This episode taught me many things... the main one, being that I would LOVE to hang out with Duncan Trussell & Dr. Drew. 😁

I could not breathe during the Sagan part
It taught me where the intro to hitchhiker's guide comes from too, tangential bonus knowledge☆
So long, and thanks for all the fish.
This is Chris Parnell’s greatest work.
just about the best/funniest thing iv seen for weeks, so thnx!!!
I mourn the loss of this show every day. Thankfully, we have the archives. 🥃🥴
13:14 that scene finished me
Jenny Slate is A+ on this show. I could listen to her talk about anything.
The dolphin puppet screaming "ni ni ni!" SENT me
Also, who was JFK portrayed by? 👀
The best ones are the first ones when everyone was for real wasted
Duncan Trussell is a national treasure
5:14 my man pulled a Kanye here! 😅 (“I don’t want to say it… ok, it rhymes with bike.” 🤣)
4:02 Is that Tom Holland? Legitimate question.
I need to know as well
Are these episodes historically accurate bc if so….how tf was the war on drugs even a thing if you have presidents getting high

the war on drugs was never about drugs, it was about race

The Dollop podcast has an amazing episode about the dolphin story, it's one of their very first episodes and still one of the best.
That whole "Carl Satan" thing? I'll do it. Now I just need to learn to play an instrument. Wait, you'll see.
Right!
I can sing, can't play any instruments though, but I'd be all down to be rolling with Carl Satan.

The Dog barking broke the flow😊
Funniest D.H. yet. Duncan just about killed me at the end
The dolphin one had me spitting out my meds
All the stars are here! Beardy man
I miss this show so much.
Is that dr drew? After teen mom + vshred, better this than actually practicing medicine.

FYI: CRI is also an acronym for the C-hechen R-epublic of I-chkeria....
I didn’t know Anderson cooper was in this
Who's the young Capote face they show in the JFK one? I swear it's Tom Holland, but I can't find any evidence. :)
We so need more Jenny Slate in our lives....
And all that's best of dark and bright
Is that Dr Drew with Duncan?
why is there an other host in the dolphin one?
Duncan!!!!
Drunken Trussel
There's something special about McDonald's Coca-Cola specifically. Who knows what I'm talking about?
Think maybe oxycodone>left out of the recipe, but could be the actual contents of that shot.
For JFK? Oxy wasn't around yet but yeah it contained morphine.
Your career is over dr drew? After YMH????? 😂😂😂
Anyone else thinking bout Tommy Lee doing the same thing n the freakin name of their song😭🙏 helppp
Wait - so two of them did the same story...? lol.
Did they really cancel alcoholism? Huh? I'm confused.
What about the carbonation water used in Coca Cola as well? Coca Cola was not just coca leaves, sugar & cola nut.
poor Carl Sagan
I also wish I was alive from the late 1800's - 1920 (the year Coca Cola stopped putting cocoa leaves in their soda.
You can get more or less the original formula in Bolivia
I too wish I was born in the 60's. Versus the Trump era? No contest. That fkr will live to be 120.
Hey Jenny Slate is so cute, anyone know how many of these she's done? Same with Paget Brewster please

Is that first one about JFK actually true?!? I know it completely defeats the purpose, but I need sources!! Lol
Yes, It is absolutely true, as is the joint in the Oval Office between JFK and RFK.
Yes it's true. Jackie talked about the "vitamin" shots they both got.
Yes. The NYT blew the lid off the story in the 70's(?). His name was Dr. Max Jacobson.
Yes more or less it's true, including the hotel part
