John, I have been following you for 4 years now and I don't know why Scamp doesn't just cough up a royalty to you for every Scamp sold in the US. You have done more for this brand than any one else.
Thanks for giving a walkthrough of the new Scamps. I like the new features and options. I’m especially glad about the composite floor (finally 🙌) and the “U” cabinet in the back standard because storage is essential. I’m also excited about the lithium battery package, solar panel kit, central control switches, and backup camera. However, an option I would like to see is a composting toilet (like Nature’s Head) for the bathroom with a black tank delete. A window in the bathroom so it can air/dry out, especially because it’s a wet bath. A “medicine cabinet” above the toilet (near the ceiling) is dead space where nobody stands and would be the perfect place to store hygiene products. A lagoon dining table would be nice as well for various reasons. I would also like to see some type of off-road package, nothing too extreme just bigger tires, more ground clearance, etc. Lastly, the most nit-picky option is a folding sink facet with a glass top, just to have a completely flat surface when appliances are not in use. This is mostly ideal for a 13ft Scamp that only has one counter. FYI for anybody who reads all of this, the new Scamp 13ft w/Bathroom starts at $21.5K 😬.
@@myscamptraveltraileradvent1230 Exactly. Semi loaded (not even fully) is easily 25k. I’m trying to adjust to the price increase because I haven’t seen the prices since 2017. These trailers are just not as attainable as they once were.

@@Just.Ashley.S If you have been to any RV shows, overall not a bad price, some of the teardrop trailers are going for that price, no stand up, no potty, cook out back (in the Rain). Made in China. Scamp is a solid investment.
I have had two 16 foot scamps from the 1986 era. The insulation ( liner) in the old ones would sweat when it was cooler out. But we enjoyed thousands of miles in it pulling it with 4 cylinder subaru outback. Always wished the table ned would have been 6 inches wider.
Gorgeous love the small one (and having a toilette!!!) so functional and easy to handle size!!! I think scamp trailers are the nicest from all trailers!
Great updates with the third brake lights, the tinted windows are fantastic, and I like that they're trying to create a single location for switches and controls. Keeps it simple! I can't say I love the black belly band, I think the current silver really adds a bit of class to the unit. They're also using silver hardware for most doors and then the bathroom is a black handle which breaks the consistency in the overall design. The worst change (in my humble opinion) is the swoops and swirls that everyone hates in the rest of the industry which really was the thing that attracted me most to the Scamps originally. They really stand out without the terrible swirls and cheesy graphics, bringing focus to their shine and the fact that there are very few seams and breaks in the egg shell. 😊 If I could make a suggestion, little vinyl details like trees or cacti would be lovely. Maybe even offering folks an individual color selection for the belly band or graphics when they order would make the entire experience even better. Folks want to feel like they have a product that was made just for them, and the cost would be incredibly minimal. I miss our Scamp 16. What a fantastic trailer it was! Great video!
I would love Scamp to work on a garageable unit. Something around 16ft, side a/c, under 7ft tall, maybe 6ft inside? You may not be able to stand up as a taller person but something like this would be a hit for many, specially EVs towing increasing. Would that be something on the works? There’s zero competition for a garageable, 3,500lbs GWVR, camper that can sleep 4 and doesn’t fold down. Aliners make great use of space in a 12 and 15 ft box but it has many moving parts that may leak or break. I don’t know, you got a winner in this!
Thank you for showing the scamps! Love the 16 foot💕 I wonder what type of vehicle would be required to pull it. Also, how much water does it hold? You and Little Man stay safe and cool💕
We have a 13ft Scamp which we love except for the fact that it sleeps sideways instead of lengthwise. It's tough to have to crawl over another sleeper if you're the one in the back. Would suggest you reconfigure your plans to sleep lengthwise perhaps in a 16 foot trailer. It would actually make it a king sized bed if you gave up some counter space. Would also love full louvered windows instead of sliders. Just today I had to figure out a slat to fit into my back slider window so it doesn't slide open when going down the road.
I prefer the look of the old logo. Love the idea of the consolidated control panel. I also like the screen door. My 2022 is retractable and makes the doorway narrower. I’m getting a 16 footer but I can’t pick it up until July. I called yesterday and asked Steve if I could get the tinted windows in mine. He said maybe. He said we will have to see when we get closer to production. I was also wondering if you ever camp with your subs. When I get mine I would love to run you down somewhere and camp for a few days.
@@myscamptraveltraileradvent1230 well I told Steve on the phone yesterday that there was this crazy guy on RUclips traveling the country in a scamp. I said you gotta get this guy a hat or something. Well he cut me off. He knew exactly who I was talking about because he mentioned little man. If you are ever in southern Indiana and need help or a place to hook up let me know. If not I will try to run you down next summer when I get mine.

I like that they’re getting away from the cherry cabinets, I’m not a fan. I like that they kept the red because it’s traditional, but the other colors are definitely more masculine. The cushions are too dark still. What happened to that little metal tree thing that’s usually between the ceiling and the kitchen? If it’s not needed, I wonder if I could just take mine off?
I was wondering if Scamp would take a trade in on a new unit? I have a 2017 Forest River travel trailer 21.' I live in Minnesota so I'm not too far away from Backus. Thanks for the great videos
Thank you for the tour. Liked the controls in one place, the storm door, cabinets, tinted windows. A box for tanks is probably overdue. CEO made a big deal about decals - personally don't like it at all, kind of overwhelmed the little Scamp. The lettering is difficult to read. Didn't seem classy, just like a big advertisement.
Guys, let me start with I love your company. Camera on back, electric jack are things that should have been done over 10 years ago. The decor still looks dated inside and out. Give the customer the option to change the paint job, put a lift on it. Why not remove the AC on the roof so you have room for solar panels all across it and put a small mini split on the front of the tow. Make them completely self-sustainable
@@myscamptraveltraileradvent1230 We have a 2017 Scamp 13' with front bench and have lots of great travels in it already lot more to go just feel it should be keep simple not all loaded up with stuff. Keep it in reach of the everyday family on a budgit. Just me my option is do not like new decals.
The standard 13' Scamp came with a spare wheel/tire combo as well as a cover. This video showing a 2025 model has the mounting hardware for the spare sans said spare. Will you now be following the industry's questionable call, of making customers pay additional for the spare *preparedness*? 🤔
John and Little Man, I'm just starting to save up for a small 13 foot Scamp. I've wanted a small camper for years, was going to build one out of a cargo trailer or diy a teardrop, but just don't have the time, skills or bandwidth to do that. I've finally decided to get a Scamp, once I can save up enough. Thank you for being yourself, sharing your time and talents and for doing so much to give me and others such helpful information about these campers. Hopefully someday I can join the Scamp family. I love all the interior new features of the Scamp and some of the exterior ones (electric jack, propane cover etc.) that were presented in the video but if you could give them some feedback on the exterior design, I love that they want to keep up with modern RV aesthetics but the new logo for me is off putting, and not pleasing to the eye. Part of what makes the trailer for me is the clean and classic pin stripe logo, its classic and classy. Suggestion, they do their 3 trees logo on the side and merge that into a classic stripe around the trailer and then tie it into their new front logo. As in old meets new, honoring the past and looking towards the future. Scamp is welcome to contact me and I can draw it out for them if thats helpful. 😊 Its kind of hard to describe. Thank you again and I hope you all are doing well!
Thank you. Glad you made it to the meet up. Neat to see the CEO and tour! Be safe John and Little Man.

He said we will have to see when we get closer to production. I was also wondering if you ever camp with your subs. When I get mine I would love to run you down somewhere and camp for a few days.
Yeap a little. That's why I'm here now. Hanging out with a subscriber....now friend!!
Yeap....good old Steve!! Yeap the company is not much on giving away anything......anything and anything FREE!! HAHA He was at the Rally and factory tour.....He's a good guy!!
What part of Indiana?
@@myscamptraveltraileradvent1230 I live in Leavenworth. It’s about 45 min north of Louisville. I’ve got a nice little farm and a 30 amp hookup if you ever need a shower or just get off the road a few days. I’m about a mile from the Ohio river as the crow flies.
I like it!
Thanks!
No it is needed it is support.
looks awesome just me but id change knobs on cabinets very interested here
👍
I was wondering if Scamp would take a trade in on a new unit? I have a 2017 Forest River travel trailer 21.' I live in Minnesota so I'm not too far away from Backus. Thanks for the great videos
I don't think so but You could call....
@@myscamptraveltraileradvent1230 I guess I could look for the number of the sales department?
1 - 800 -346 - 4962
The 🚪 door supports and frame seal and sub frame integrity structure bulsterd😊
Okkkkkkk.....
I wish the 16 foot model had a permanent bed with a mattress.
That would be nice.
Camper windows should tip out so you can have ventilation in poor weather without rain getting in.
They do now.....
It would be nice to have two small beds as an option..
I'm getting full of arthritis in it is difficult climbing over people to get out of bed
Sorry to hear that....
Would be nice to have a mirror on the bathroom door.
You can install one....
Need lots of USB ports with multiple locations
👍
Thank you for the tour. Liked the controls in one place, the storm door, cabinets, tinted windows. A box for tanks is probably overdue. CEO made a big deal about decals - personally don't like it at all, kind of overwhelmed the little Scamp. The lettering is difficult to read. Didn't seem classy, just like a big advertisement.
Thanks!!
I prefer the old design. Some things are better left alone.
😄
I truely like the new scamps
Cool......
Call let them know....the 800 No:
Nice
👍
Why not show the 16foot’s bathroom?
Next video....
It's vary nice but like the new Scamp lite better.
Get You one......
🤔
You would have to call the factory on that question.......I don't know.
Call Scamp Sales....ask for Wanye or go to the top Micah.
If need a boondock site near park Rapids I can get you in the rite direction
Ok...thanks!
Tinted window would be a turn off for people enjoying natural light, like campers.
Maybe..everybody has their own wants!
Take note: i want one with the original decal
That can still be done!
Great upgrades, still don't like the two year wait to get one.
Down to about a year now....
Only other thing needed…one more logo. “Janey” LOL
Haha...👍
