If there is anything over 1/8" they would be trapped on the sock silencer and you can remove it from the surface by hand or by removing the silencer and rinsing in a sink. It acts as a catch for larger particles, if you have them. But the majority of particles will be way smaller than 1/8" .

I actually just bought this exact sump in the video off of a guy used. Love the sump its so clean and quiet with the lids and looks great!

This will work on a 340 Gallon System. Max GPH is approximately 5000.
