I bought NVDA back in 2022. I added to my position recently for an average cost of $620. I listened to Jensen’s speech to Stanford and figured if I strike out with Jensen on my side, there’s worse mistakes I can make….
Hey Tim your point on Nvda is valid. If you bought MSFT up 2000X, that's right 2000 times you would have made 3000X on your investment. MSFT is up 5000X since its IPO.
No. It started at $0.10 2000X that is $200 3000X $200 is what you implied. No. Buying from the 2000X point and riding it to the 5000X point is 2.5X your money, not 3000X
Agree with Tom, except perhaps for his point that Nvidia is non-cyclical (11:44). It's true that Nvidia is attempting to become non-cyclical with its CUDA development platform on the software end and this play may indeed pay-off, but historically it has been cyclical as a hardware company.
You have to keep in mind that people are pricing in 50% growth, so the expectaion is high. If they come out with 30-40% growth, the market would be selling off. I am not saying they can't maintain this rate, but the risk is elevated. Make sure to do your research and manage your risk tolerance.
Great Analysis 👌on NVDIA.Every Company needs NVDIA for their growth, NVIDA is impacting each and every company and every sector to transition to AI, I think and my guess is it will be the first 5T company this year or next and may very well be first 10T company in next few years by or before 2030. even Tesla cannot reach its FSD Training and Compute with out NVDIA
Sounds about right, I don’t argue it won’t grow, good video. But no companies monopolise sector for decades. Look at Nokia, Google, Apple, Tesla. They are still big great companies (except Nokia 😅) but another great ones emerge to compete all the time. If NVDA skyrocketed ~300% it doesn’t necessarily mean it will add 300 more.
I bought Nvda in 2022 then sold it for Tesla. Then bought back in at 400$ then sold at 750$ then bought back just before earning at 668$ then sold it at 920$ and now I put all the gains and initial investment in nvda2x after nvda con .🎉
How can anyone short NVDA knowing that NVDA just can't supply enough to the big dogs who are absolutely busting for their GPUs. They are booked out for yrs, IMO. Also TSM will follow.
Dear Tom Thanks for the inputs. It is your inputs I had entered pltr and tsla. I am adding every now and then. My time frame is elastic. YOU compared AVGO. Is it comparable company with NVDA AND AMD. 60% EBIDTA growth for 5 years is not realistic though imho. Its a super bull case scenario. There is a chance their margin have to come down and their growth is lower for any reason. Then even the current valuation is barely justified... You mentionned Tesla at the beginning - their margins have come down since everyone was raving about it. Still very bullish on Tesla but I expect NVDA to move sideways from now on.
I'll just buy LEAPS on this and trade it but more longer term. Buying even just100k of this wont make me that much just buying stock alone...but thats just me.
I do see NVDA at least doubling within the next 2 years. But I can't justify buying it at these prices. Then again I've bought TSLA at every single price point since 2020 but I have high conviction there. PLTR is my number 2 hold and I prefer dumping money at these low prices.

@@mickeybeavison1053 That's highly depends on your assumptions. Nvidia currently has unsustainable growth and unsustainable margins, so the valuation is built on quicksand. Tesla on the other hand is suffering from high interest rates and general slowdown in cars sales, and it has many products in the works that would dwarf Nvidia and last much longer.

Ill stick with pltr, bigger upside long term in my view
NVDA brings together both the AI popular and crypto themes.
How does it do that? (Curious)
If you re crazy about it Tom , why do you have only 10 shares in it and not ALL in ???
At this point I would only buy nvda if they split. 900 is too much.
I lived through this in 1999. Kinda feels like that again. Oh well.
Hmmm yeah
Stock split coming soon also
Have been saying this since last year and nothing
Wow, you were right!
Do you think we will see an NVDA stock split anytime soon?

Sorry but Microstrategy is the right answer. It will be worth more and is laughably undervalued compared to Nvidia.
