The Flugabone was a totally different project with involvement from Zig Kanstul, hence the completely non-sense Flugelhorn shoutout in its name. There was also a much different model of the Trombonium made at some point when the company was actually called King, but I can't remember what the model number designation was. It had the tuning slide before the valves, a slide Trombone style tuning slide in the bell, and probably a normal small shank receiver instead of the obnoxious proprietary taper. Really ugly thing. Just going by photos, the main differences that I can see from the OG Trombonium and the Flugabone are: - Completely different proportion of leadpipe, valve block, and tuning slide layout. - Flugabone appears to have a larger bell cone and beefier bugle, even if only slightly. Despite the big bell flare, the Trombonium is an absolute peashooter. I can't tell if the actual percentage of cylindrical tubing is any different, but the leadpipe being so different is probably where the magic happens. Never played the Flugabone and don't really have any intention of buying one now that I have this horn. They're not exactly cheap.
“Watch and learn dudes”
Badass
@UCHEYrzds0bb8lITOWZ4XNtQ It's basically an Upright Valve Trombone
Doesn't it just predate the king flugabone.
