I definitely fancy one of these holsters. Thanks for the recommendation. I've always thought they are quite expensive but they seem to be the ultimate solution for quick draw with the mk23.
@@rockbottomairsoft np I personally find it easier because I always lose my mags to my Glock 19, done some research before buying the mk23's and they all recommend this holster
@@rockbottomairsoft haven't tried using a ghillie but this Sunday I'll let u know. What I like is that you can put a carbine kit on the mk23 and it'll still fit perfectly
@@rockbottomairsoft there's also a upgrade to the mag release where u have to physically press two buttons to release the mag, that has some decent reviews too
as always great vid, question for you though!what are your thoughts on aeps.they are getting more popular and would be great up here with cold climate.i know the realism factor isnt there as much as gbb but novoritch sse18 for example is a great pistol.fitted with mosfet and hi cap 100 rnd mag these can be a great backup for sniper.
Thanks, I'm glad you liked the video. Like you I find the AEP's intriguing. I haven't taken the plunge yet but I think they would make a superb winter sidearm. The option of full auto on most is great as well. If you do consider one take a look at the Cyma ones that have a mosfet fitted. From what I've read they are also great. Quite affordable as well. If I do get one this year it will most likely be cyma and I will let you know how I get on with it.
@@rockbottomairsoft hi,well i did have 2,stupidly sold them and bought a umarex h8r gen 2 and also action army aap01.both great but nowhere near the reliability or firepower of the cyma aeps.so wil be going back to get another one(probably used as can pick up real bargains on rarely fired backup weapons).i have not been to tazball since july as so hectic at work and working away no time.but aiming to get back in the spring hopefully.just bought a cybergun ak74 asu and its awesome real wood/metal furniture.also just bough a cyma ak 47 tactical(the all black one with all the rails)already have cyma original ak 47 real wood fully upgraded so its going to be ak guy next year lol!.the cyma desert eagle is an insane size aep, better with glock or the beretta i think
Hopefully get to have a game with you in the spring. Epic collection of AK's going on there, I'm like the polar opposite, love an AR, bit boring I know but there's just something about them I like. I agree, there are some bargains to be had on the used market. One of my mates has the tactical AK from Cyma, he rates it and having had a shot It works well. Hopefully see you at Taz's in spring time.
It's pretty quite. Even without a functioning suppressor it's pretty much just the click of the trigger and hammer that you hear. Slight pop from the muzzle but nothing that I would call loud. Hope this helps.
I would absolutely recommend it if you plan to upgrade. Otherwise the TM one is a bit more expensive but a bit nicer. If budget won't stretch to the TM though I would still recommend it.
I'm afraid I don't have an AAP myself. However I have friends that do and they think they are great. I suppose you get the benefit of blowback and full auto with that choice. For me though the MK23 is a really decent buy especially for cold weather.
I don’t usually do this but: first. Also, damn! What time is it where you live? 😅 Also also, love this gun! Only problem is, the stock mag is like people say: it’s made for Japanese Market ‘Duster Gas.’ I kept some gas in it as expected of a gas magazine, and the seals wore out while I left it alone. If you’re gonna own this replica, do yourself a favor and get some aftermarket magazines that can handle green gas.
@@rockbottomairsoft Too right. In actuality, I only have the one stock mag for now. But now that it leaked, my MK23 is out for now. Time to order new mags for Christmas! 👌
@@rockbottomairsoft I have not! I will try shortly! 👍 but in reality, the mag that came in box had a leak. The clerk who sold me the MK23 took my current mag from another box 😆
DTD holster locks the mag release in place and locks the trigger in place. Easy to unclip and to clip definitely recommend it

It does seem to have good reviews universally. I have a friend at site who uses one and he finds it works well with the ghillie.

Little late to the party but what gas is acceptable to use in the winter 3-6°c with the tm mk23

Have you tried a bit of silicon grease on the o rings. That can sometimes revive a dry seal.

That's not good. I have had similar with other replicas I have.
