The DAC stainless steel single placing tip is amazing. It’s exactly like the brass tips shape wise but just lasts forever highly recommend!!!!

I did start buying these from the Ali express place you were getting your multi placers from and they are better than plastic! Thank you! I really enjoyed your tray video, can't wait to see more. As for SWTM, I say make it easy on yourself and say no, keep it to actual Old Masters. As much as I am a fan of Mickey and Pooh, I know how gray the area could be and you don't want to waste hours worrying about that. Hope you have a great week!🐙🎀

I haven’t watched the last airbender anime, just few glimpses while my kids were watching before. But I like the live A LOT! The actors are really good especially Aang. And I love their costumes, so detailed. I would love to see your putty / wax collection next. ❤

Hey Katie! I agree that Summer with the Masters should only be about old masters. Maybe the rule could be work on whatever you like, but it must meet the criteria of an old masters artwork to be eligible for prizes.
I know this wasn't an option, but I would love to see how you store your trays, pens and wax.

My husband and I really enjoyed the live action Avatar the Last Airbender show! We went into it expecting that it wouldn't be exactly the same and we were really impressed by the bending and the overall storyline. It would be so boring for it to follow the animation frame by frame and I feel like the show reflects kind of what we're living through now. I also like the cast and how it's touching on slightly darker themes, knowing that kids who grew up with this show are now mostly adults in their late 20's and 30's
I'm so glad I found someone who enjoyed the Netflix ATLA, I was starting to wonder if I was alone in enjoying it after seeing those reviews!

I would love to see a pen stash next. I also tell people that I am not really crafty. I just follow instructions well. They usually still dont agree and that it takes a skill to do the beautiful cross stitches and diamond paintings.
I also had FOMO with Hannah Lynn. I dont typically go for all of her art but there have been a few that I liked. I didnt get them because they were round and I really prefer squares. However, I had intended to get this last Christmas lady representing the 12 days of Christmas. I said well if it sells out I will get it on restock...until this happened. Yeah I went ahead and ordered right away. I wanted Groovy girl but I dont think that one is gonna restock.
I want to try gemsflow but at this point it would take quite a while to put in the painting that I have. I dont think I have the patience for it.
Lastly I would like to say that I think you all shouldnt allow those artworks you mentioned to Summer With the Masters. I wholeheartedly agree that it is probably gonna get real messy and very time consuming. I see a burnout coming for you sponsors with that. Almost like how Drills and Chills almost did with "will this kit work". Dont get me wrong I absolutely love Winnie the Pooh but I just think its gonna get way too confusing with all the variations. Maybe leaving it at what you all started it to be for is the best idea. Just my opinion. I would hate to see this become a nightmare and you all not want to do it anymore. Its a little bit of FOMO here with my statement. I havent participated in a SWTM but I intend to this year and I would hate for it to be my 1st and last try at it. 💮

I really love the Everlasting small metal tips that go inside the regular plastic pen tips! Those are definitely my favorite! I do use the Diamond Art Club single metal tips as well but I have had the very tip of them bend/deform before though 🤷🏻♀️ Hope that makes sense.

I think SWTM should be more focused on the “Old Master” artist and art. I think if you were to allow Steamboat Willie and Winnie the Pooh it would be more about the characters instead of the actual artwork and the artist that created them. Just my thoughts, either way I’m very much looking forward to the event! 🌸🩷
Yessss loving the new Avatar show! Matt and I finished watching it yesterday and now I'm wondering how long the wait will be for season 2. He doesn't think they'll be able to go long between seasons or the actor who plays Aang will get too old, which is a fair point! I hope your dentist appt went okay and that you reward yourself with a treat for having the spoons to set that up and go! 🧁🍭 I also hate going to the dentist due to some bad experiences, but I religiously go every 6 months now because that's my best chance of not having to deal with the worst that can happen. 😬 I'd love for you to join the readalong (yes, it starts March 1st!) but even if you start reading at a later time, you can always go back and watch the videos later. I just started reading it last night so I can begin preparing for the first update video and it's so nostalgic to be reading it again! :)
Katie, Thanks for the update on Jessica. I really miss her - she was the first person I found on RUclips years ago. Looking forward to SWTM this year. I have one canvas in my stash and one on order from Jade. Just need to decide which one to start! I say No to Steamboat Willie and Winnie the Pooh. The line between open source and copyrighted is just too hard to referee. With so many other choices out there, it won't be a big loss to exclude those. You have my sympathy about the cabinet replacement. I am having the same issue getting a small tile repair done. No one wants to fool with it.
Hi Katie. Always appreciate the time you take to provide such varied content. SWTM should be fun for you and Anthony as well and IMO you two don’t need the extra work to check all these images. The event itself is time consuming enough on its own. How about anyone who wants to work those disney related themes can feel free to work along side but can’t enter the event. Being a person with no social media platforms sometimes it is difficult for me to enter an event but in those cases I always enjoy working along with my themed painting during the event. Just a thought. Hope your dental appointment went well😊
Next stash video I vote for wax and putty! As far as summer with the masters I don’t have an opinion bc this will be my first year joining in! I support whatever you guys decide! 🌸

I just finished the first book of ACOTAR and started the second one last night. It is so good! Keep hearing you talking about books and shows is definitely opening me up to some new favs!
Putty and waxes would be the video for stashes I vote on. Would love it! Since you've done trays and pens and paintings already. [Updated stash of paintings for 2024 would be nice towards the end of the year though!]

An idea for your cross-stitch conversion project (which is amazingly beautiful, by the way) is to make it into a tapestry, with a rubber/mesh back, and you can display it on a guest bed or large table.
I really need to listen to your whole WIP & Chat before commenting. LOL! I think you are going about your SWTM masters in the right way. I have seen so many "starry night" remakes and other remakes, but the original masters' paintings were so beautiful. Why mess with a good thing? I also think you could be opening up to more than you want to take on if you allow Disney or something that is close to Disney. You would think they are not watching the little guy, but I have heard so much of the little guy being destroyed by Disney, when you think "just why".
Really need to get into the DAC steel placers, by the sounds of things 😂💕
I for one am excited for a washi haul - mostly to see all the pretty designs 😊 Although, a putty haul feels a bit more "functional", as putties and waxes, in the same category as trays, have more of an impact on your overall diamond painting experience!
Love listening to your videos as always (even when I'm a week late to them haha), I was finishing up the last corner of a crochet blanket during this video!
Hi Katie! Maybe a pen haul is in order. The tray stash made me feel better about my growing collection - maybe the same will help with my pen collection. LOL Also, looking forward to my first Summer with the Masters. I think the artwork should be restricted to the original paintings or the master paintings if you will. It gives people something to learn about if they choose. For example, I came across the piece that I want to work on completely by accident. I wanted to use something in my current stash but I usually don't go for older artwork when it comes to diamond painting. I have this one picture that has a woman in Victorian fashion and while I was pretty sure it was something that someone came up with recently, I was thrilled and excited to find out it's actually a picture from...1892 I believe. This led to me reading up on the artist and the style of picture. Granted, I am a dork/nerd and I really enjoyed that part - but it would be nice to give others an opportunity to do the same. Thanks for all you do!
🦩🌷Thank you for the video! As fun as it would be to see some artwork of the maps or covers from the Winnie the Pooh books, I think you should exclude Mickey and Pooh for now. It would be easier for you and make more sense for the focus of the event. As for a stash video, I vote for your wax/putty stash! Also, I like my all-in-one stainless steel single placer from DAC!

I am working on Golden Cocker Spaniel standing up. I sat once for 90min and the Sciatica pain in my left leg made me almost roll onto the floor and crawl over to my sofa. I didn't and was able to get slowly up.
Last week was good and weird. I asked my caregiver why she treats me like I am 14. She replied " You Diamond paint." I didn't realize there was age categories for hobbies.
I went to my eye doctor and picked out my new frames. Ignoring the fact that my caregiver was acting like a 14 year old regarding different frames I tried on. She was very angry I decided to get my frames at my eye doctor instead of going to Lencrafters.
I think AI is very individual. I had no idea until my friend told what AI is. I am still stuck in the keypunch era.
I have not watched fiction in years. I think last time was when Doctor Who had a female doctor. Big mistake. Of course some people would say I watch because I watch Ancient Aliens and anything on UFOs.
I would love to see a wax and putty stash video. :) I ordered my first putty from Etsy and its fantastic! But I’d love to see them all together with pros and cons. Thanks for the video!

DAC has the best stainless-steel tip I've ever used! I'm still new to diamond art (I started January 2022.) I knew from youtube videos like yours that I wanted an ergonomic pen and tips that would last forever and not need to be filed to get rid of ridges. I started with the basic amazon stainless tips. They worked but I just couldn't stay straight. I found the DAC single place and realized I could see where I was placing the gem! I will not use anything other than the DAC single place and multi placers. I have the DAC 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 10, and 12.
I love my Diamond Art Club metal single placers. They’re all I use now.
I have to vote for the pen stash video next.
As far as Steam Boat Willy and Pooh I think it may be best to steer clear, because beyond fan art there’s going to be art work of them in that style that was created later on. They have put out a lot of new Steam Boat Willy products and have included him in games in recent years. Original Pooh was (is?) used for baby items like bedding, cribs and clothing.
I like the idea of working on kits that are of paintings that may not be as well known or are otherwise from painters in history. It’s up to you though whether you want to try to make sure they’re using the true public domain images.
I’m still working on Flower Fairy, I was hoping to get her done in this month but sadly I don’t see it being finished in the next 3 days. I’m roughly %75 done so not too much left, she’s just so long lol. I had a good moment of placing the wrong color at one point. I was trying to decide which color to use and picked one but instead of placing them on their color I put them on the opposite it took me a good moment before I realized what I’d done. Thankfully the tweezers still worked wonders on the round drills.😂 🌸🌸
I love all of your stash videos. 🙂 I ordered both the St. Patrick's Day releases. Stanley Morrison is my one must have DAC artist. I got the Hannah Lynn one because I love the colors. I only have one other of hers, which came in a mystery box. This will be my first "Summer with the Masters", but I feel it should be about the style and not just because something is out of copyright.
I'd love to see a wax/putty video considering my own stash is running low haha. 💕
I definitely vote for pens for the next stash video. For your summer with the masters conundrum, I feel like it would be better to leave Steamboat Willie and Pooh out just because I feel like allowing those in would create a lot of unnecessary work for you and Anthony.
That dragon is looking So Good! I'm also glad Im not the only one who accidentally places the wrong diamonds on the wrong symbols. 😅. Oops! My vote for the next stash video is pens because you have such pretty pens. And my vote on the Summer with the Masters' is whatever is easiest for the two of you. Now that we are getting into the realm of film (and animation) being opened for public domain, there are a lot of IPs that get dicey so if you don't want to deal with any of that, I'd say don't. Best wishes for the dentist! 💗
I never was attracted to HL but then when they announced it I did end up buying the only one that had been in the back of my mind which was 12 days of Christmas.
I’ve used the DAC single placer since it came out last year and love it! Also, Disney is notorious for going feed anyone and anything, no matter how small. So definitely be careful there.

Hi Katie, I was listening to you say you can’t get anybody to return your calls about the job you have in your kitchen and it got me thinking. Have you considered trying to find a retired handyman (woman) who may be interested in doing a small job. You could put a small ad in your local paper or a notice on a bulletin board. I hope you can find someone and I hope those suggestions help. Thank you for this week’s WIP and Chat, I always listen but don’t always comment. Hope you have a great week!

Good morning, Katie. I love your channel and always look forward to your videos. I use DAC metal single players and really like them. I have ended up buying one for all my favorite pens. I also love their multi-placers. I just received a 12 placer, so I am learning how to use that one.
🌸 Today I’m kitting up Dragon Valley by Rose Catherine Kahn from DAC. This will be my largest & most colors I’ve ever done. I’m super excited. I ordered my first Enablers Outpost mystery box which will be my first non-kit pen & any other fun things. Great video on trays! I’m waiting on an upgraded kit (Hang in There) from Munimade which will be my first non-kit tray. I’d like to see a video on putty & waxes. When I hear/think Masters I think specific artists not characters. We started the new Avatar show last night. Love it, so far. 💕 Best wishes at the dentist.
Hi Katie, Could you do a video at your convenience on how to begin a cross stitch conversion diamond painting? I'd like to know what you need to purchase to begin the process. How do you know what drills to purchase and where do you purchase. Can you do one without a program on your phone or kindle. I've watched you work on yours, but I'm not sure about the process from the beginning . Perhaps you told us, and I missed the video. Also, I'd like to see a video on the putty, pens, and washi. I watched your videos on the trays. It was fun!

Hi Katie, I'd like to see Washi Tape, then Wax and Putty, and Pens. I'm sure you'll get to them all eventually. 🤗 As for the Masters Event, I'm a purist. I'd avoid the Steamship Willie and WtP versions for now. You guys work too hard as it is, no need to kill yourselves vetting extra pieces. Glad the sliding glass door is replaced, and the family is finally illness free, but bummer about not being able to find a cabinet tradesmen. When I lived in the San Gabriel Valley I often used handymen from the PennySaver for small jobs and was always very happy with the quality of their work, but maybe I just got lucky. Not sure if OC gets that publication any more. Pfft, if it's not one thing...
Honestly, DACs new single tips are my absolute favorite! They are shaped exactly like the plastic single tips so they have the thin tip but are all metal and phenomenal to work with! Also want to add that Bijou Bliss is my absolute favorite and I feel like I'm well on my way to having a collection as big as your Munimade trays 🤣💖
Im good how are you? I personally would like to see a pen stash video next!! Always looking for new pens to use and small businesses to buy from! I worked on crocheting a bag and then switched to kitting up a new dp (hogwarts crest-fine oddities (black)) while bf finishes his half of the spiderman dp we were doing together (friendly neighborhood spiderman) both kits from dac. 🌸💕🐷👚 thank you for todays wip and chat i very much appreciate these videos and im looking forward to next weeks!! The dac metal placers are my fav, but I also use their plastic ones.
Hi, Katie. I use the stainless single Placer tip from Diamond Art Club. I really like it. It's the only one I use anymore. You might want to give it a try again. The wall is really thin.

Im so excited with SWTM this year again! I will do one of the prize kits that was given to me last year and then finish Lady Godiva. My vote will be pen stash video. I do love your selection.
🌷 as for your question about Steamboat Willie and Winnie the Pooh, I think you can exclude them from your event. It’s going to be a lot of extra work for you and these events already have a lot of work involved. If people want to work on diamond paintings of those characters they can do that at other times. They don’t have to do them for this event. You’re not telling them they can’t do these diamond paintings ever, you’re just saying they won’t qualify for your event

I think I remember abby saying that the putty was volcano scented. One of my absolute favorite candle scents!
Oh I placed an entire section of the wrong color and didn't realie it until I ran out of that color! At least it was a small kit but removing them and getting them to the right symbol was a pain! I even keep the container for the color I'm working on off to the side so I can see the symbol but I just had a complete brain fart. 😅 I guess it happens to all of us! At least it isn't cross stitch so we can just move them to the right spot. 😂 💞💗

I think make market does. But i think its a smaller beginner friendly canvas and therfore more pixely/grainy. At least i think i saw a small canvas version at the kinda crappy michaels in my area.

I think I would land on the team of no to steamboat Willie just to make it easier for y’all! Events should be fun and event management should also be about reducing complications to maximize enjoyment for all. I think the folks who put on events should do so in a way that is manageable for them as well.
Also so love the respectful way you approached the AI convo. Obviously not a right now thing, but it would be super interesting to see a conversation between you and another respectful person about (potential different) opinions on how AI should interact with the diamond painting world. I knew I was forgetting a question you asked. About Summer with the Masters. I think if it creates a grey area, I would think it’d probably be easier not to allow it at all. I wouldn’t want you to lose the meaning/reason for why y’all started this event in the first place. Plus that would allow for a lot of those “can I do this kit?” questions and I know those take up a lot of time
