Also she has some extra weight. Usually its a bad thing, but the more you weight the more loud and deep voice you can develop. Anette was pretty fit and also had pretty high voice, so it was quite difficult for her to perform opera-ish parts, thats why all Anette's songs was about pure metal vocal.

Was lucky enough to be there for this set. By far my favourite set I’ve seen at any of the Wacken I’ve been to!! Love it!! Can’t wait until 2019!
For every Floor version of Nemo (even the ones without NW), there is someone to write that it is by far the best version. And I always agree.
You all forgot she had a baby recently. So, imagine all the trouble, nights asleep and shit. Plus the tour. It's a miracle she's still singing. Damn, it's a miracle she's still standing up.

@@Grimeyhoob You can sing as loud as you can, when your voice is mixed inferior to the other instruments on the mixing table, it will sound like this. Nightwish had only the B-crew (soundwise) on the tables that evening. Wacken 2018 didn't see rain for weeks, it was extremely dusty and hot (esp. at late afternoon, when they started, so also the crowd was suffering ) - no comparison with their gig in 2013 at all.
@@MacZussie yeah fair enough. Everyone’s allowed to have a difficult gig now and again on a full scale tour. It just so happens that these days every gig is recorded and uploaded. Whereas in the tours in the 90s and earlier - not every gig was recorded live and there was no RUclips. So bands would only release their best footage for live recordings.

Unpopular opinion. Nightwish was one of my favorite bands during the Annette era. I thought Imaginaerum was an absolute masterpiece and to me Endless Forms Most Beautiful was very mediocre. That being sad Floor does bring a powerful live presence and I like the way she sings the old songs.

Seems like shes getting another burnout, maybe she will be kicked when the problems start worsening. This is ok performance but very dull and 0 energy she also sounds very weak compared to 2013. She has regressed the whole time with nightwish, so maybe we should prepare for a new singer
Three years later, she's still there. They recorded a beautiful new album, they did a virtual concert and Floor sounded better than ever. Also, she sang in Beste Zangers, proving once again that she is singing better than ever, and after that she did some solo concerts in Netherlands...

I agree. The whistle does not serve the song. They can’t be afraid to kick Tom off the stage every now and then. As some who deals with pipers on a regular basis, I can tell you they have fragile egos that need to be bruised.

I don't miss Tarja but I kinda miss Jukka on drums. Kai is not bad or anything but I feel like any other drummer behind his kit looks out of place

Adam Daniels Some people are also big fans of Tarja and I am A HUGE fan of Tarja as well but people just like comparing them when they are totally different and totally have different voices can’t compare what is incomparable. Jukka is a great drummer and we love him the most but It’s kai life now and we want him to succeed at its greatest. Don’t you hate it when a new person joins a band or something and people just start completely comparing them for no reason or hating them for no reason. I just say leave them alone and let them live, you’ve wouldn’t want nobody comparing or telling you, you suck, and yes they make a lot of money but they do read comments and you just think their just happy but in reality you really don’t know how they feel inside. Not only money can bring happiness you know. I see a lot of people talking shit about Tarja‘ daughter... TARJA’S DAUGHTER, people just need to stop, only because Tarja got kicked out of Nightwish people say watch Naomi get kicked out of school because she’s a dumb child, or other rude things. Naomi is an innocent soul and grownups are saying vulgar stuff to her daughter. Some Nightwish fans need to STOP.

I'll never forget how hot it was that week. I stood at the barricade all day waiting for the Nightwish set. Nothing will ever beat that experience. It was such a magical day.

Floor's voice sounds worn out. I love her not being hateful but they're on tour aside from this and you can tell she's tired. The power behind the voice doesn't sound the same to me vs. a year ago before they started tour.

It's not just the end of the show, compare her endings of Ghost Love Score from 2013-2015 to now, compare her endings of Nemo from 2013-2015 to what it's now...

Most symphonic metal band have an opera singer now even band in a local pub. What's the point to bring Tarja back? Want to be another brick in the wall?
I'm not trying to disrespect Kai's skills as drummer, not at all but boy was Jukka's drumming much more enjoyable to watch..

Strange opinion. I prefer Tarja over all the singers, but I love Tuomas's genius, so I continue to refer to NW as my favourite band. BUT. Everyone is mad at the Floor vs Tarja battle, even if Imaginaerum with Annette is NW best album, second only to Once, in my opinion.
Endless Forms is mediocre. I don't know why, but Floor seems very cold and disintirested about the feeling of the songs (it's the same sensation I had listened to her live perform Storytime or LROTD) The Greatest Show is a very masterpiece, but it's the only track that has originality. A good album, but nothig of new.
So, i fear that Floor is not valorized, on the one hand. On the second, it's my fault. I never liked After Forever or ReVamp. She is a very great singer, but - at the moment - anonymous to me.

I hate to say this but Floor's voice is just a shadow of her voice in "Showtime, Storytime" (2013)...... of course, maybe she's tired but this is disapointment.
I agree, but I think is because they have been touring for almost a year, that must be really tiring and she has the best technique but it probably also messes up her voice a bit, I think if she could get proper rest her voice would be like before. Don't get me wrong, her voice is stil awesome, but is not as powerful because of the reasons stated. I'm guessing she is also trying to not force her voice to a lot of belting like she's used to so she can rest it more.
@@mileynick88 Yeah, agreed. Sometimes you have to make compromises to save up your voice for later shows. And if you were in the crowd, you wouldn't hear her exhaustion, flatness etc. unlike on proshot. (I was there in the crowd)
There can be mental things as well to affect the performance like missing her family, home during the tour, constant exhaustion, being in the spotlight etc. Also touring and travelling is very demanding all together. You can hear from her speaking voice (which is leaking) that she isn't in her best condition, but she delivers the job nevertheless.
Carlos Carvalho it's not a disappointment. She's worked hard on the decades working so hard on that tour and her side project which was released on October 19th of this year. She's a goddess she needs a break that's it she's not a disappointment to snylone accept for you fuck tard

I'm not saying that Floor's performance was as good as in Wacken - 13, but that performance was mixed for the DVD. And of course they do magic tricks afterwards in the studio for the DVD release. You probably notice the difference in other instruments too, not just singing.

March 9th - April 22nd: 34 shows in 44 days, streaks of 5-6 days in a row without a single day of rest. November 2nd till December 15th 29 shows in 44 days. I wonder how the hell is she walking at all. Also, she may have been ill on this concert, we don't know. Hope they don't burn her out like they did Anette. On the other hand how the hell do you stay motivated to give your best performance of the same songs and same shows after you've done 70-80 of them in 2-3 years is beyond me.
