I think the draw of Radiant Bow is the C rank for warriors, high effective might vs bulky lategame fliers, and the ability to do good damage to armors as a bow user. It just works well in a lot of situations, especially for Warrior. Warrior Merrin with a Radiant Bow +3 did really good work in my recent Maddening clear.
Radiant bow weight is 12 so only 1 point more than levin sword, it's not that hard to get units to double with radiant bow (side-eyeing you flame lance). The number won't lie, radiant bow is the highest might for magical weapon that even with sword power +5, radiant bow is only 4 pts behind levin sword power. So yes it's much lower investment than levin sword build. I think getting weapon sync+ is the best skill for radiant bow user than running magic+ if you don't want to waste SP books. Since most enemies will have much lower res than def (except sages and mage knight), radiant bow will be your best bow of choice to even trying to get high damage to non flier. The weakness is that it just can't enemy phase 1 range so that's the nerf. Even us talking about radiant bow with low magic stat units using them but still dealing good damage is the reason why this bow is good imho.
Fogado with radiant bow CARRIED multiple of my 1 turns of the DLC paralogues (on hard) including the Chrobin (needed EVERY unit and action I was given)
It's most relevant late game, it's hard for even high strength warriors to one hit kill Wyverns and even Griffons lategame, I used Etie with a Silver Bow +3 and TIki Engraving and she couldn't ORKO without Marth for a second attack, RB however has such high base might which gets multiplied by 3 it one hit kills as long as yoiur RB user has decent magic. Like a +5 RB, which is cheaper than a +3 Silver, will have 24 attack before Engravings, so we could be talking 25-27 after engravings, so yeah, *3 for 77-81 attack before adding magic, say Anna has her cap that's 98-102 attack, even with Wyverns beefy HP and Griffons high res this is one hit killling them.
The weapon that saved my first maddening when all my units were bad but fogado could OS endgame wyverns with literally 0 investment (I didn't learn any skills thinking that the price of the upgrades wouldn't lower lmao)
Radiant Bow will one shot every flier on Maddening with Anna the entire game, Bow Knight is nicer since it has a better speed, dex, and luck growth and more movement. The true potential is with Claude's S tier ring for that +1 bow range which makes it amazing to double armour units at 3 range and that extra range is good for hitting fliers in areas you normally would not be able to.
The problem with bow knight Anna is that you're losing out on mage knight Anna. I tried bow knight with radiant bow on my current run, and it really struggled to keep up. The moment I switched her to mage knight and gave her a levin sword, she was instantly useful.
@@longers1028 She doesn't struggle at all, she one shots every flier and can still kill or almost kill armoured unit, even with almost kill a gentle breeze will knock it down. The value comes in with Claude's ring for the 2-3 range Radiant bow and 2-4 range long bow. You will out range everyone in the game with this and outrange every armoured unit. You just need Byleth to make it work and save scum for bond ring rolls.
Yeah, but, why People only talk about Warrior Anna but not Pandreo? His passive fix the Radiant bow and axes hit rates, Anna only catches up to his Magic at like level 20 as a warrior, his speed and build are much better for doubling and, while that much relevant has more bulk than her.
This proves to me how good Anna actually is. Shes my main damage carry in my current maddening. Her low def on bonded shield with sword power Levin sword makes her a gladiator But that is higher invest. Even here she could def 1 round most of the game with lower investment. Perhaps evaluating units how they are in low and high invest situations is where we may find who is truly overall the best.
Radiant Bow+5 with Ike/Hector engrave and you only need 15 magic to one shot the endgame fliers. It still feels a bit underwhelming to me when fliers aren't that threatening until super late game.
I think you missed one of the things that makes Radiant Bow good (not great): It's great against Armored. Usually archers are useless against armored units. ot so with a Radiant Bow.

Lol the DRAW of radiant bow, I see what you did there :)

Eventually I want to try a radiant bow bow knight Gregory

I think Pandreo makes a better Levin Sword Mage Knight hard carry for less effort, but you are right in that he could do this also
nice radiant bow you’ve got there
Lmao I love the smug Anna emote
@@IcedCoffeeGaming Its perfect for so many situations haha. I’m campaigning for a roland emote eventually too lol

I don’t see a scenario where I’d prefer radiant bow Anna to levin sword mage knight Anna
If she is underleveled/lower investment
Radiant Bow is basically a crossbow from RADIANT dawn. It deletes fliers, even on no magic investment warriors. 1 hit enemies can't counter.
seriously m8, on my team she kills all fliers and armored and if not chunky damage to feed my other lower level units. And on hard mode
It looks bad ass
Yeah, but 2 range only. I rather be at +5 casting spells as sage.
I mean using a Bow period means no 1 range, so I think the idea is that it’s a player phase Bow Nuke that can kill anything.
Bad bow hella cringe
It is mid ngl, better off just using rex/elwind lol
