I understand the clean version is missing a lot of the story but In this series we’re just here to have fun and enjoy the music. It's ok! We understand if the 19+ version is not good for people just dipping their toes into the Milky Way of the fandom (Voodoo Doll is very much a slasher/horror MV and not always the safest choice for people to see). VIXX does have a lot of darker subjects/concepts and even their 'bright' songs can have a creepy vibe to them like 'Scentist' (scent + artist). If you cere want to check out more of their stuff try the Greek Gods Conception series of Dynamite, Fantasy and The Closer , or Scentist which was the last full group release before the hiatus.

The story behind Error: The couple were human. After the woman dies from an illness, Hongbin is so distraught he attempts to turn himself into a cyborg (probably so he won't have to feel the pain anymore,) but after the process he still feels the pain. He then practices creating cyborgs (The other members) in an attempt to figure out how to bring her back. He succeeds in bringing her back, but the memory insert alerts the higher ups and they come to discover that she was illegally created by him. He uses the strength he now has as a cyborg to escape with her, but knowing the attempt will be futile they decide to come together as one heart so they can be together forever. You can see them mouthing I love you at the end.
This nickname came from when Starlight (Vixx fandom name) take a picture of them standing beside vending machines and all of them was shook because Vixx is taller than the vending machine next to them🤣🤣

They were the first group to ever make music videos that had such extreme themes like raw horror (like the uncensored version of Voodoo doll) as well as themes of dual suicide, drug addiction, libido, etc. Their concepts were mind blowing when they first emerged onto the Kpop scene. As a matter of fact, VIXX were the group that made the style of blazers w/ no shirt underneath and chokers a popular style for boy groups. VIXX actually popularized and normalized men in Kpop wearing chokers in general. And fun fact: the Chained Up album literally came with a BDSM contract, that’s how dedicated to the concept they were💀
I never watched the clean version of voodoo doll till now haha my favorite choreo moment was when they "stab" each other with the staff. So sad u missed it, because of the clean version, but maybe that's best if u can't handle that stuff😅 I just wanted to mention it because vixx choreo always go with their concepts & personally, is some of my favorite kpop choreo because I love the storytelling😍☺

Vixx is, in my opinion, one of the bg with the best discography in kpop. It was a constant improvement in quality. I think you would love them, if you dig deeper. This group has it all great music, vocals, choreos, concepts and the aesthetics. Their MV are so interesting.

They are known as the Concept Kings of Kpop, and are recognized by the entire industry as the one group who commits to every single concept and story in their songs. I would love it if you reacted to more of them, including some guides! They're no longer as active but there is plenty of material from them. I highly recommend Shangri-La and Scentist. They also have a trilogy which has Dynamite, Fantasy, and The Closer, a series which is based on three Greek gods! By the way, I think you'd really like their little brother group VERIVERY, their songs Tag Tag Tag, Get Away, and Trigger are good candidates for Spooky reactions. Especially Tag Tag Tag
after you mentioned it, i feel like one of the reasons why are they always so good at delivering different concepts every time is the visible story telling in their music videos. it can both be direct (error) or very subtle/only inserted here and there (chained up) but it highly incorporates to their well-earned infamous ‘kings of concept’ title. it’s unfortunate the original music video version of voodoo doll may not be suitable for everyone but a sneak peek for that one: it was pictured that they are being controlled by a woman (w voodoo dolls, obviously) and tried to escape but in the end got captured again so yeah lol. i also gotta say they’re also so damn good at concept imagery in both their music (whipping sounds etc) and choreography. they are truly iconic i must say. then again thank you for being open to other groups as well! I am so glad you checked out VIXX! They're called the concept kings for a reason, no one does it like them. I remember being blown away when "Chained Up" came out so watching you discover it gave me so much joy. Yes, they are all super tall and have legs for days. Another thing to appreciate with VIXX is how their choreography strongly emulates the concept and tells the story (best visible in live stages or dance practices). Like in "Chained Up" one member sometimes does gestures that control the others, they tug at their chokers when bodyrolling in the chorus (iconic, tbh, other idols would reference it), and they often cross their wrists together as if bound.
I remember when chained up came out and I would not stop listening to it 24/7 so hearing it one more time rn and watching you react to it was definitely nostalgic in a good way haha!! VIXX has two main vocalists - the chic one Leo and the cutie one Ken. The one you keep pointing out is Ken who has an amazing voice and is the joker of the group. Like major joker and the loudest. Leo is the shy introverted member and has the nickname of 'head fairy' because when he gets complimented a lot he hides his face. They are both active in musicals with Leo having just returned from military service. Ken is still serving and I think Ravi is going in soon. Leo is the high note master and he has the softest, gentlest voice. N has the honey smooth voice and the darkest skin tone, Hongbin (who has left the group after a messy thing) has a very deep voice (baritone into bass at times) and is an actor, Ravi can sing as well as rap and now has his own small hip-hop company. VIXX can do any sound, any emotion, and they are concept kings. Voodoo Doll is about a manipulated abusive relationship where the woman is the abuser, Error is about a love so painful it hurts and Chained Up is basically Slave of Love.
I will always love vixx's discography but man do I miss being surprised by them every comeback to see what concept they would fully emerse themselves in next.

Seeing you watch Chained Up reminded me that that album had a slave contract in it. Just all the stuff that they’ve done for fans 😳. idk if someone has said this but the album for chained up came with a bdsm contract for vixx PLEASE 😭 but vixx are practically the blueprint for a lot of what we see in idols today concept and makeup and fashion. they were talked bad about in the earlier days bc of the heavy usage of makeup or colored contacts but look where we are now. also when you hear concept-idol, that was vixx in second gen and they still hold that in my heart. chained up started such a craze lmfaaoo. the suit jackets with nothing underneath. and the chokers.

To answer some of the questions : - They are TALL, we call them the kpop forest sometimes, the shortest member is 180cm tall - voodoo doll main mv is very gorish so I get why you watch the clean version! To summarize voodoo doll's story is about a girl who is left by their lover, so she makes a voodoo doll to control him, the pain and torture of the ex-lover is represented in the 6 members who in the song lyrics play the role of the friend of the girl who loves her and wants to be there for her but she just keeps using them for her own good even if they end up hurt (Should I go, should I stay is referring to them knowing they are getting hurt and it's toxic but they want to stay with her still) - Error, she died because of a sickness and he brings her back as a robot and implanting their memories together on her system, in this universe tho, making a robot with memories of a human seems to be illegal, he refuses to live without her, so that's why at the end they die together. I can't remember why, but he turns himself into a robot in the middle of the story. -Chained up is...well...chained up lolol. The concept is "Love slaves" 18+ and they actually have an album being the control ver, which couldn't be bought by minors, nothing too crazy inside the album just a love slave contract which actually was signed by the members but again nothing too crazy just them being like "if you are sad, I'll sing for you." and they had the freedom ver which could be buy by everyone but didn't had the contract. Also some other funfacts, vixx was the first boygroup to wear chokers and shirtless suits, they were also the first boygroup to wear bright eye color contact lenses.

Finally another reactor discovering VIXX! They are known as the Concept Kings of Kpop, and are recognized by the entire industry as the one group who commits to every single concept and story in their songs. I would love it if you reacted to more of them, including some guides! They're no longer as active but there is plenty of material from them. I highly recommend Shangri-La and Scentist. They also have a trilogy which has Dynamite, Fantasy, and The Closer, a series which is based on three Greek gods!
By the way, I think you'd really like their little
brother group VERIVERY, their songs Tag Tag Tag, Get Away, and Trigger are good candidates for Spooky reactions. Especially Tag Tag Tag
after you mentioned it, i feel like one of the reasons why are they always so good at delivering different concepts every time is the visible story telling in their music videos. it can both be direct (error) or very subtle/only inserted here and there (chained up) but it highly incorporates to their well-earned infamous ‘kings of concept’ title. it’s unfortunate the original music video version of voodoo doll may not be suitable for everyone but a sneak peek for that one: it was pictured that they are being controlled by a woman (w voodoo dolls, obviously) and tried to escape but in the end got captured again so yeah lol.
i also gotta say they’re also so damn good at concept imagery in both their music (whipping sounds etc) and choreography. they are truly iconic i must say.

I miss Vixx so much thank you so much 😭 Leo one of the members even had a solo song where he acted as some pyscho who collected body parts of his lovers or something like that and made them mannequins.. Anyway if you have spare time to listen to a new song, I recommend my favorite song from them called Shangrila, beautiful production ft. korean traditional instruments and ugh The whole song is just art and chefs kiss 🙌

if you ever revisit this group i swear you won’t be disappointed. vixx are the literal concept kings. every comeback had lyrical connections to the mv, and the concept tied perfectly with the physical albums, and merch that you could buy. as a starlight (vixx’s fandom name) i can’t thank you enough for taking the time to listen/watch some of their content! i’m so glad you enjoyed yourself ❤️
I am so glad you checked out VIXX! They're called the concept kings for a reason, no one does it like them. I remember being blown away when "Chained Up" came out so watching you discover it gave me so much joy. Yes, they are all super tall and have legs for days.
Another thing to appreciate with VIXX is how their choreography strongly emulates the concept and tells the story (best visible in live stages or dance practices). Like in "Chained Up" one member sometimes does gestures that control the others, they tug at their chokers when bodyrolling in the chorus (iconic, tbh, other idols would reference it), and they often cross their wrists together as if bound.
I remember when chained up came out and I would not stop listening to it 24/7 so hearing it one more time rn and watching you react to it was definitely nostalgic in a good way haha!! Thank you for checking em out!! if you ever wanna hear more of em ShangriLa, Scentist, and Fantasy are some really great songs :))
I've been missing VIXX a lot, especially this past few months because watching content about our boys always make me feel at ease and relaxed. VIXX has two main vocalists - the chic one Leo and the cutie one Ken. The one you keep pointing out is Ken who has an amazing voice and is the joker of the group. Like major joker and the loudest. Leo is the shy introverted member and has the nickname of 'head fairy' because when he gets complimented a lot he hides his face. They are both active in musicals with Leo having just returned from military service. Ken is still serving and I think Ravi is going in soon. Leo is the high note master and he has the softest, gentlest voice. N has the honey smooth voice and the darkest skin tone, Hongbin (who has left the group after a messy thing) has a very deep voice (baritone into bass at times) and is an actor, Ravi can sing as well as rap and now has his own small hip-hop company.
VIXX can do any sound, any emotion, and they are concept kings. Voodoo Doll is about a manipulated abusive relationship where the woman is the abuser, Error is about a love so painful it hurts and Chained Up is basically Slave of Love.
hongbin was my favorite part in voodoo doll! his acting is amazing!

The dances for all three of these songs are AMAZING, totally worth watching. (Frankly, all of their singles have amazing choreography, but their dark concepts are just - *chef's kiss*.)

idk if someone has said this but the album for chained up came with a bdsm contract for vixx PLEASE 😭 but vixx are practically the blueprint for a lot of what we see in idols today concept and makeup and fashion. they were talked bad about in the earlier days bc of the heavy usage of makeup or colored contacts but look where we are now. also when you hear concept-idol, that was vixx in second gen and they still hold that in my heart. chained up started such a craze lmfaaoo. the suit jackets with nothing underneath. and the chokers.

To answer some of the questions :
- They are TALL, we call them the kpop forest sometimes, the shortest member is 180cm tall
- voodoo doll main mv is very gorish so I get why you watch the clean version! To summarize voodoo doll's story is about a girl who is left by their lover, so she makes a voodoo doll to control him, the pain and torture of the ex-lover is represented in the 6 members who in the song lyrics play the role of the friend of the girl who loves her and wants to be there for her but she just keeps using them for her own good even if they end up hurt (Should I go, should I stay is referring to them knowing they are getting hurt and it's toxic but they want to stay with her still)
- Error, she died because of a sickness and he brings her back as a robot and implanting their memories together on her system, in this universe tho, making a robot with memories of a human seems to be illegal, he refuses to live without her, so that's why at the end they die together. I can't remember why, but he turns himself into a robot in the middle of the story.
-Chained up is...well...chained up lolol. The concept is "Love slaves" 18+ and they actually have an album being the control ver, which couldn't be bought by minors, nothing too crazy inside the album just a love slave contract which actually was signed by the members but again nothing too crazy just them being like "if you are sad, I'll sing for you." and they had the freedom ver which could be buy by everyone but didn't had the contract.
Also some other funfacts, vixx was the first boygroup to wear chokers and shirtless suits, they were also the first boygroup to wear bright eye color contact lenses.
