Haha you don't know dubstep at all then. This track is great but it flipped the dubstep scene on it's head and took the sound in a totally new direction. Many tracks from Skream, Benga, Digital Mystics, coki etc.. are far better than this.

Yeah dude. What the fuck happened? I mean I was 18 and just started college when I saw him live the first time in Cincinnati. I had no idea what I was doing with my life. And here I am at 30 years old still having no idea what I'm doing. At least I'm sober now though. That concert lead to me being a homeless heroin junkie for years. Met some girl, went to her place after, found out later she was addicted to opium. I tried it loved it and ended up getting hooked on dope. Fml. Still love rusko though. Not his fault that crazy batch was at his show.

I've been sober for 5 years now and am graduating with a PhD in Clinical Psychology in a year. I'm a certified drug and alcohol counselor as well as a trauma informed care specialist now. Indeed, I have "sorted my life out". Although you will likely assume I've responded to you in hopes to prove you wrong, the point of people who have overcome their addictions is to instill hope in those who need it. Being chastised by strangers is a normalcy at this point. And that's okay. Cheers.

I do not know how he found it. Never had heard of this music before. But, this is my 3 year olds favorite song. He listens over and over. Been doing this since he was 2.. I have never even listened to edm or whatever this genre is haha

This was a defining song for the genre, and it gave the genre a massive popularity boost.
If you hear "dubstep" and think "goofy, screechy, wobbly noises", this track was a trend setter for that kind of music. Nobody had really heard anything that sounds like this at the time-maybe you had to be there.
So kudos to your kid for liking one of the originals that started the whole scene.

This is one of the Grandfathers of Dubstep… He brought this sound from East London in 2008 and it spread from LA to the East coast within a year and took over music for a decade or so…

The tune that got me into Dubstep in 08. Not really the sound I go for nowadays but I'll never forget.
I'm adamant I read an interview with either Rusko or DJ Annie Mac where it was said that the tune was just called "Woo" until Rusko boosted the bass and tagged it as Woo Boost just to keep a note of which file was which. He sent it to Annie who thought that was the actual title and here we are now.
